Well you know I do not see your viewpoint on that reply, the tax reform act was not a net positive for everyone and it has not been for me personally so I cannot agree with that being a smack in the middle of the pack income family with SOME deductions. My state property tax here is less than I paid in PA and less than half of the states I would imagine, my mortgage deduction is not too high as Ive had a low rate 15 yr for quite some time, some this and that deductions like charitable contributions and higher education deductions for college tuition but I am not a massive deduction family, yet my tax burden went UP with the Trump tax scam, I am one of those who crossed the previous bar by a little (standard deduct) and had enough to impact my marginal tax bracket, so for me the impact is a negative. I would imagine that people from a higher SALT state got the sting pretty bad and that includes middle income like me, so I didnt get it the worst but the truth is that there was no need to overhaul the code, I still dont get why they did it..that goofball Treasury secretary might have wanted to make a splash so his blond wife was impressed I dunno...but I have no idea why they did it given that the US runs a DEFICIT, the money multiplier impact on GDP has not materialized and I read that this year some of the early phase in benefits will exit and the sting will really hit with what they pulled. I have not filed taxes yet but will shortly and will see.
Trump RESONATES with people who are like him and those who are wool GOP fans, he does not resonate with women or minorities or people who have a true moral compass because he has none himself. Trump is about Trump not America not you or me, he is about McDonalds, his real estate business and how he can be the center of attention. He is not a leader he is not a patriot or a high value individual. Seek out people who are respectful to EVERYONE and not about self elevation as their core standards. You can do better than supporting a schlep like Trump, do not accept the garbage from your party and accept whatever is served to you by the GOP leadership.
