The civil war is going as planned

Another crazed liberal attacks a peaceful church in Texas killing 28 more conservative evangelicals and wounding many more. This is just a few weeks after the killings in Vegas which took out 60 or so conservative country music fans....SEE the pattern here? .....AND how about the attack at the baseball field last summer in Washington.

MSNBC and CNN need to be shut down for creating mayhem and murder as they are broadcasting non stop 24 hrs a day constantly portraying Trump and his supporters as evil, dangerous and wicked.

I tune in these stations from time to time just to see what they are doing and it is not good for the country. The mentally challenged and deranged buy into their daily garbage and feel they must act to kill the evil Trump voters...How sick.. 

I am all in for a boycott of these vile network sponsors...This is the only way to hit them and make them clean up their act...No revenue and they go out of business...

We need an activist group to organize a huge sponsor boycott of CNN and the other stations that are trying to create a civil war and perpetrate violence.

This has been going on for way too long...How many more liberal idiots will fall for their lies and go out to kill again and again?

Conservatives cannot play by the decent mild rules ANY longer....CNN and the other station must be dealt a conservative beating this time and end the lying stupid crap broadcast daily from these networks.

I don't post very often in here...I'm a lurker for the most part.  Had to jump in here though.

Maybe instead of turning the tragedy into a liberal/conservative issue...look at the fact he is 26 years old, and served in the military for 4 years.  His Facebook profile was him holding a rifle.  He obviously had some serious mental issues, and maybe PTSD, and the issue of not taking care of our veterans when they come back from serving is way bigger than trying to blame a cable news station.  I've never heard any news station tell people to go out and kill people, but there are plenty of examples of disturbed veterans and others with mental demons who don't get the care they need, and unfortunately, these events and suicides end up being the result.  Mental illness and PTSD don't see liberal and conservative.  They see nightmares the likes of which you and I can't possibly imagine, and in speaking with as many veterans as I do...you don't ever want to see those nightmares that make people do things like what this person did.

If you're really interested in making a difference, instead of forming an activist group to boycott CNN, it would be a lot more impressive if you formed an activist group to help veterans.  Or joined an activist group to help people with mental illness.  Or you can do something really simple like donate money to the church that got affected.

But in the meantime, at least show a little respect to the deceased, their families, and the community affected, and don't post this trash about there being a civil war.

Reboot - He was Air Force; served at Holloman AFB in New Mexico, not exactly a high stress, combat related assignment. I am all i favor of veterans services but don't get carried away with rhetoric as though every person of any type military service is to be cut some slack simply because they were (for a short time) in the military. Family abuser, probably a psychopath.

I thought liberals were opposed to owning guns and wanted to ban them all together? Isn't that what you "conservatives" have been saying on here? Now Vegas and Texas happen and liberals are gun fans? Doesn't seem to conform to your generalizations at all. 

And before you lose your mind over this, I'm pro 2nd amendment. Even though I don't own a weapon, I am all for people having the right to own them, barring certain exclusions of course (felons, mentally unstable, etc).

I know this will get taken the wrong way but I just can't help myself sometimes. I know a mass shooting like this is a terrifying experience to endure, and definitely not the ideal way to die. But these are a bunch of people (Christians, or a lot of religious people really) who really think there is a better place for them after they leave this life/world. Why is this such a tragic incident then? They're all in a better place now right? No more waiting around in this crappy world for the next life in a better place right? 

Anyways, thoughts and prayers, thoughts and prayers. They do so much right?

Speaking from overseas I have to say this opening thread is an embarrassment to your nation

You have a president who has demonstrated in so many ways how unfit for office he is. One of the best measures of a leader is how he or she unites or divides the people. The results are there for all to see

But a consequence of this divide is that of course he has his supporters, who will blame, ludicrously, gun wielding liberals, who support tighter gun control. And vice versa

So long as the reaction to this event is both sides blaming each other rather than dealing with guns, the carnage will continue, the status quo will remain, and the rest of the world will look on in bemusement and horror

I won’t be holding a prayer vigil. To do anything other than address the issue is an insult to all the victims

I agree with this...but it does not take too long strolling in this forum to see that divide and how different groups flock to this division almost in support of it and against thinking of others and what is better for society.

It is quite miserable seeing how Trump openly and regularly divides the extremist and almost validate the anger and hate that many feel for reasons aside from the issues themselves.

The problem may not be conservative or liberal, it may be that the Supreme Court cannot read the intentions of the Founding Fathers in the Second Amendment. If the Founding Fathers were around today they would be appalled at what has developed. Their question would be "are you people nuts?"

The proliferation of unnecessary assault weapons in the hands of literally anyone was not what they had in mind. The second Amendment, as written, was intended for a far different time and circumstance that exists today. 

There are actually two types of gun "nuts". The kind that turn them on innocent humanity and the type that that thinks ownership of anything you can afford is your own private personal "right". 

That is sort of how the North Koreans and radical Islamist's feel about nuclear weapons. Are you prepared to grant them their "rights" and just hope none of them are nut cases?

Thanks to Obama the nation is more divided than ever ..and that was before President Trump even came on the scene... race relations are at a new low...there was always a divide ,but Obama widened it..Obama divided Americans by class ..class warfare ...rich pitted against the poor ..blacks against whites ....men against women ..BLM protesters against police..

There is no doubt the nation has declined under Obama ..his true legacy is a divide nation..and a Democrat party in shambles..

1. They try to take our rights away

2. They push the false narrative of "white privilege". This is a very very divisive false narrative and it fills people with hate. 

3. They push the false narrative that police officers target Americans based on the color of their skin. This false narrative creates a lot of hate. 

4. They push the false narrative that "free" healthcare is a right.

Ram is obviously young and wasn't paying much attention before the Fascist Trump stole the presidency from Granny... Ask Venezuelans if they'd like to have guns to shoot back at the state shooting at them to break up demonstrations? The people are powerless. How can you fight the government when you asked to be disarmed. The Second Amendment keeps the government from becoming completely tyrannical.
