After days of spreading the hoax, New York post has made a recent correction.  Meanwhile Fox news has added online update.  "We are looking into new reports that a veteran advocate mislead lawmakers and media outlets."  Also a change in New York assembly man Mahler who admits to Mid-Hudson news that he has been mislead by YIT foundation.  Now there are calls for fraud investigation.

Mid-Hudson news deserve praise for its reporting.  Viewership ratings aren't necessarily indicative of the quality of journalism.  Fox business model is based on attracting a segment of viewers who want lies instead of truths.  For example, Trump's big lie about stolen election despite no proof.

Thanks funny, Wallstreet said; I do not "find" left media any more than I find right media...to me one is not more available than another in fact given where I live I find a strong strong right bias here in general.

So, at what point do we start caring about the debt ?  $32Trillion doesn't get your attention?   Why don't we just raise the the debt ceiling and f$#k any concern on our nation's spending like "all" Dems demand.   You and the rest of the "dotards" have no comprehension of the road to financial ruin this Country is on, because of its spending problem. 

Here's a novel idea.  Let's raise the debt ceiling and lower spending.   Oh, wait.  That's already been proposed by Republicans. 

Nothing stops republicans from introducing legislations to reduce spending.  But democratically, they have failed to implement their extreme agenda.  So they resort to political blackmail.  Holding US economy hostage unless their demands are met.  Now immediate threat is potential default.  Many countries have high debt as a percentage of GDP, but US is in the middle range.  Solvency or ability to service debt is more important than the size of debt.  If republicans are serious about avoiding financial ruin, tax hikes should be considered because history shows they work better than inefficient spending cuts.  In past years, proposed spending cuts can realistically only achieve a fraction of projected savings.

 It's already been explained to you lefties once, and I'm sure you chose to ignore it.  The debt level vs. GDP in this country far exceeds 100%, and the only other time it occurred before in this country was in war time.   So , this notion that the debt is " serviceable" tells me ( yet again) you do not understand the severity of the problem, and your solution to carry on w spending while you go whistling by the graveyard is naive.

And dopey responses that say tax hikes must be included in any agreement is just "dumb".  This is like telling someone that makes $200k a year, spends $250k a year, and is told the solution to the problem is to get another job !! Lol... no, the solution is to cut the damn spending,  Get it ?!   Make sense ?  

We do not have a problem taxing people enough in this country ( i.e.  tax revenue) ..   We have a spending problem.  Deal w it.

I think he's right in his wager.  I see nothing that changes the current trajectory, unfortunately.  Congress as a whole is still on this "business as usual spending" path to financial ruin for this country.  

This doesn't surprise now, given how trump deliberately demonized any media that questioned him .....though it would have say 15-20 years ago, pre-trump-fascism era
