This Political Forum ...

is pointless.  It's the equivalent of a religious forum or religious debate.  It just goes on and on and on with no end in sight.  Obviously I'm part of the problem cause I throw out my two cents and it feels like a big waste of my time ... and it's a big waste of your time for reading my posts ... and a big waste of the moderators time for keeping the order (maybe they give us a little more leeway in this forum compared to others).  The other non betting forums here on covers have topics varying in subject that stimulate humorous/insightful/fascinating/bizzare replys.  Here's its just one side bitching at the other and we all know which guys are on which team.  Right vs Left, Conservative vs Liberal, Trump vs Obama, etc, etc, etc.  I think it would be best for covers to shutter the political forum once and for all and replace it with something more interesting.  What would you guys vote for?  I'm thinking ....   

I think the forum to replace this one is already in place called general discussion. Great thread in there by golden goose titled something like "Ask me Anything". Hilarious thread. To your point. Politics plays a part in our lives on a daily basis. I think the political  forum has a wealth of information and opinion. I never lose any sleep over what is said. In my opinion the political forum is a lot of fun. I personally enjoy the give and take inside the forum. Especially with the Lefty leaning mods!

It's supposed to be for political betting/props/etc.. but as Politics does, it turns ugly and personal at every turn.   Wiping it clean would be a good idea, but that would just mean the GD forum would be flooded with it.   So let it live...  we choose to click on it.   Usually good for a laugh.   Like keeping track of how many Rolex's sundance has bought Alex Jones.

I think this forum should stay.  I like reaching across the aisle..and enjoy the interplay it brings between other members,, that may at times disagree with me..

FAmazingly I’ve learned quite a bit with some really good gems that most in the media have overlooked on purpose or not.  I come here everyday and read the new posts.  Never know what you may learn.  Forum should stay.  Why not just leave Cave?  I know you never would have said this had Trump not been doing so well.  Wanna take your ball and go home huh?  

Oh man, that last part made me laugh!  I don't wanna to ruin the game for the rest of you.  This forum has the most committed loyalists compared to the other non gambling forums on this site.    

They should turn it into an anonymous personal ad section. Atleast 40% of the dudes in here clearly need to get laid and they all have chubs for one another. Not talking about any of the dudes in this thread. More so speaking of the cats who pop in, say some foul, inflammatory sh*t that has no purpose, merit, or substance, then pop out.

I'm a registered independent. It was a mistake that apparently is common in California.

Come on Cave all I need to do is point to DETOX switching sides to prove that we're all not DUG in on our views. Please let me know when a conservative changes teams - that could be a while. Actually, I've never known one...

That's funny about the changing teams comment because I did around 2009/2010/2011.  I went through some personal hardships financially and health wise which changed my perception of myself and life in general.  Trust me, I was probably more hardcore republican than YOU!  I grew up in a military family and worked many years in the greedy financial sector.  All i cared about was low taxes, zero government intervention in business and a STRONG military!!!  Times have changed for me ... politically speaking.

When I got home from Nam I was so unhappy how veterans from this war were treated. I checked out politically because of the lies our government fed us during & after the war.

I did the corporate gig until I was fortunate enough to retire early. Not until this POS took office have I become vocal again.

Once Piggy is out of office, I will support his replacement no matter who it is.

 

I am a non-partisan independent which means that I see both sides of the political spectrum fairly equally. So I feel like I have the skins on the wall where I can say that even though this forum can be annoying at times (almost exclusively because of the far right blowhards in here) it has its purpose.

President O did not hate the military but he didn't fawn over it like Piggy does.

I have clearly documented my dislike of Piggy & the reasons why. He will not finish his term.

I'm not crazy about Pastor Pence but will give him a honest chance & he will have my support until he does something stupid that negatively impacts our country.

Anybody that is committed to one side or the other needs to be committed.

Who should we believe here? Bob Woodward, a respected, meticulous journalist who has written 18 books or Piggy a man who can't answer questions in court because he'll commit perjury?

I swear, you never even used the term "deepstate" until like two years ago. Just like you never heard anyone talking about MS-13, a gang noted for their brutality for quite a while now, until like two years ago. It's all political ploys. It's weird, under Trump there has been a societal flip. It used to be that the democratic party was the party of the common folk. And there were all of these spook stories about a cabal of the super-rich, and the republican politicians they control, who rule the world. Illuminatis. "The man" They were known by many names. Then something happened. All those birkenstock wearing hippies got old, and got rich. And they aligned with the hollywood rich. And the tech rich. Now the republican party brands itself the party of the common folk and there's all these spook stories about democrats and secret societies. "The deepstate."  Is all bullsh*t. They're all in it together.

I don't think Deep State is  bs. Just take a look at Strozk, Lisa Page, 'Andy' McCabe, James Comey et al. Their mo is/was to destroy the Presidency of Donald Trump..
