If you think that another person dumping on someone else is the proper way to handle yourself, even if that person bothers you well I guess you are a Trump fan.

Does anyone know if that long winded, condescending dope, Obama is still preaching in Illinois ?  He should try helping the people in Chicago, instead of just running his mouth..................Evidently Obama didn't get the message the last time he hit the campaign trail.

All that talk and nothing but hot air comes out of his mouth............Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Yeah,he gave a speech to again try to divide us....

...and in a controlled venue...the self-loving Obama gave a speech.. in which he refers to himself 102 times during 64-minute speech...

Obama even went so far as to claim that the economy is doing good because of his policies..............

    Worst president ever.........

Kind of like Trump. A lot like Trump, in fact. These f*cks are all the same. They are all trying to divide us and the same puppetmasters are pulling their strings. They say, "Trump, you go speak to this side, get them all riled up!" Then they turn to Obama, "We need you to gp speak to the other side, since you're party has no one else that can fulfill the duty, you go get them riled up!" I wouldn't be surprised if the are in the same room when they get their marching orders. If anyone doesn't see the parallels between Trump and Obama, they are blind.

I wouldn't be surprised if the are in the same room when they get their marching orders. If anyone doesn't see the parallels between Trump and Obama, they are blind.

This is true.. I do see a parallel in the way they both try to fire-up their base by using division..

Except, to my memory... I cannot think of when a former president come out ( and just before an election ) and attacked and slammed a sitting president ..Labeling his voters voters as divisive, resentful and paranoid ..and calling out the president by name..(not President Trump)  but, Donald Trump and using a Nazii remark to demonize him..

One thing good about fmr.President Obama's speech...and having him out on the campaign trail .....every single red state Democrat will now be forced to defend the failures of the Obama presidency and there are many..

I can't, in my relatively short voting experience, can't remember this level of soapboxing by a former president. It's because the party has no leadership. I'm sure Obama would rather be on a beach smoking a joint like any self-respecting fmr. POTUS but the party is in shambles so what do they do? "Let's cart Obama out there for another round." They'll never learn. If they can't find a candidate to speak to the people they'll never win another presidential election. Personally, I don't think Trump will make good on half of his campaign promises but atleast he made them. Meanwhile the democrats are still campaigning on "grab 'em by the p*ssy", in a matter of speaking. Karen McDougal, Stormy Daniels, N-word tapes, pee pee tapes....RUSSIANS! The American people don't care and are getting tired of it.

According to C-span survey of over 70 presidential historians, Obama is ranked 12th best president overall with higher ranking in economic management than Reagan.  Many economists credit Obama for continued growth in jobs and GDP today.  He helped US recover from the worst recession since the great depression.  Trump is lucky to inherit a strong economy from Obama.

The truth is that the reason the economy is doing so good today is because President Trump reversed Obama's policies and actions...Obama may have had a phone and a pen,, however  President Trump has a pen and a twitter..   and we are seeing that President Trumps twitter is mightier than the pen...

No administration has printed more money and enjoyed lower interest rates than the Obama administration, and it’s not even close.

Presidential “historians” rate President Obama highly.  Please tell me yur not serious.   Like asking Belicheck if Brady is GOAT.   Sadly, our country is so divided that the left actually believes he was a great president although by any measure the most serious problems facing our country outside of healthcare (education, gun control, immigration, racial/economic equality, debt, foreign policy) got significantly worse/were not addressed.

for those who think Obama did a great job on the economy please list 1 policy of his that resulted in this great economy and, in that light, please address the debt, which is far and away the most pressing issue.

Amazingly Barrack Hussein Obama (nice Christian name, very nice Christian name) drew 750 people in California over the weekend. What a pathetic turn out for the man that gave us hope and change! Stunning!

Good catch Slim.  He’s the only one who won’t say President Trump.  Others just won’t say his name and that’s fine but to call him Donald Trump showed something about the man.

Funny....very funny. How about some context?

How about the debt levels continuing "Trump style" when the economy isnt in crisis mode? The way we are using debt now is atrocious, not that debt is good at any time but when the economy isnt in a recession or recovering the theory is to eliminate debt and create a surplus not accelerate debt and whine about the FED raising interest rates.

You got it 165yds....Hillary couldn’t win running on Obama’s record, so how could this (20 mths into Trumps presidency) be Obama's economy?

Nevertheless,, Obama probably does deserve some credit for Trump’s economy. ....The moment he left office things got better.

You've made this point about Obama's name before and you sound like a fool. Christianity is a religion, not a nationality. There is no such thing as a "christian sounding name". What you're basically saying is that real christians only have European sounding names, which is ridiculous because Jesus Christ himself wasn't even European.

Now to brothers Slim and 165, if Obama deserves no credit, and Trump deserves all the credit, what is it exaxtly you think he did? A massive tax cut for the Uber rich? Trickle down economics? I am on record as loving his stance on the trade deficit and his belief that NAFTA is a bum deal. NAFTA being a bad deal is one of the first political stances I took, as a teen, when Clinton signed it. Actually, I don't even think I was a teen. Maybe 10 or so. And I knew it was a bad deal then. So i'm glad he is addressing it but I digress. The two of you being two of the people I respect most on this site, i'd like to hear what your take is on what Trump has done. Investor confidence in the stock market? That's a crock.

Stumpmiester, studying the political pitfalls of NAFTA at 10 ..very impressive.....,but now I'm the one digressing..

You get a lot of respect back from me too, my brotha..You are a very independent thinking person and a good conciliator..(Mod material) I'm straying again..back to the main point....what Trump has done for the economy ?  At 6.3%, Black unemployment is at its lowest recorded level,, Black business ownership is up 400% since Donald Trump took office. ...(just poking you )...

Back to the point...President Trump inherited a slow growing and depressed economy,,stagnant.. it was not a growing economy..

fewer people were working,,, wages were flat and incomes were not growing...

Now, some can play down the value of the tax cuts, but US corporations have brought back more than $300 billion in overseas profits a
nd have reduced their direct investment overseas by $400 billion this year...in the big picture, that's really not that much,, but it's a start ..lets see what happens in the longer run.

Some of what President Trump has done, as you know.. is the re-negotiations of bad treaties, strategic tariffs,( this has to play out)  reversal of the flow of jobs overseas, and increasing consumer confidence ..this should not be understated or overlooked as not a big thing...people do need to feel a degree of optimism, that the overall state of the economy ( not just the market) is doing well and improving..a mental attitude of hopefulness.

So, If I had to pin one thing on to what President Trump has done for the US economy it would be he has given American's

positive optimism in the economy...that I don't feel was there before he was elected..

    By the way Stu,,

    By the way Stu,,
    ,,,
Elon Musk taught himself computer programming at the age of 10...

Couple of good articles to provide some context.  Let’s also not forget the lowest interest rates any modern President had.  Let’s see how the housing market does if the Fed has the balls to push interest rates back up to the levels pre Obama.

Nothing but respect here Stump as well.  While the economy is about numbers as it should be what drives it is the slow but steady undercurrent and temperature of the American people.

Biggest thing was deregulation.  Try building a factory in the Obama era, if everything went well you got approval in ten years.  Deregulation happened across all business avenues taking away paperwork but more importantly cutting time which is more valuable than money.  There was a sigh of relief when those stupid regulations were lifted.  This immediately made it more business friendly which in turns pumps more money into the economy and now big corps will invest into America.  Biggest reason you are seeing blue collar jobs increase to an all time high since 1984.

Middle class needs to buy things and not save their money or we fall into a recession.  Consumer confidence may be the biggest underlying current although it can't be measured in numbers, it drives everything.  The average Joe doesn't care what he hears, it's what he sees.  When the big corps got that tax break they gave raises to everyone, something nobody saw coming.  Walmart where my Mom works said they gave a two dollar raise and a $1000.  When they had their meeting most of the people were smiling thinking it was a joke, the manager said guys this is real.  They were in stunned disbelief, when you go from $10 to $12 an hour that is a massive difference.  Nobody feels like the economy is going to tank soon so people are much more willing to spend their money and the President drives this feeling.  When corps don't get breaks nobody gets raises.

Here is all you need to know Stump, my Mom said at Walmart there are a lot of different ethnic groups and they talk politics very friendly at times.  Most people think Trump is doing a good job she said and these are people who voted for Hillary.  It's because of their raise Stump.  Consumer confidence is at an all time high because of the President.

The trade War at this point has to be done, America has nothing to lose.  Yes prices will rise but we've been getting the butt end for so long it's time to bite the bullet.  Around the World nobody thinks America is a pushover anymore like with Obama.  When it's time to pay everyone pays.  When you go to the negotiating table America no longer bends over.  Man I wish we didn't have to talk about Obama but it is relevant.

You can say what you want but that GDP number last quarter cannot be denied by anyone.  President Trump is slowly changing peoples minds because of what they see.
