The issue of guns is not going away,but a step in the the right direction ..would be to first take down the GUN FREE SCHOOL ZONE signs...

Okay.  And then allow guns at schools?  I just am not sure if that is feasible.  Maybe at the larger schools. But all the rural schools and all?  Maybe. Wouldn't kids know who had the guns and go after them first or avoid them?  A lot of logistical issues.  But I think it does have to be looked at.

 A universal background check and gun registration didn't stop this mentally disturbed person from lawfully buy a semiautomatic rifle last February....The gun was a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 .223,according to the AP....

Secure the school buildings...

Make entering schools like boarding a plane ..with x-ray machines and armed guards ....if that's what it takes to protect children and students ..

Guns are the problem....the shootings would then occur in the parking lot or outside hs events

I thought we were supposed to BAN ALL PEOPLE that are the same race or are the same religion as the murderer?

Does that goofy looking red hat that says "Make America Great Again" give us any clues or would that only work if the hat said "Yes We Can" or "I'm With Her"?

There was an armed school rescource officer at the school, didn't help.

Say there is an active shooting going on . Other people that carry pull their weapons. The police show up and see numerous people with weapons. How do they know who the bad guy is?

 Butler County ,Ohio Sheriff Richard Jones posted a video to Facebook explaining that “the current way we do things in the school system needs to be changed.”

“We need to put armed personnel in schools,” he said in the video.

“We need to look at metal detectors. This is not going to stop or go away but we need to be prepared and we don’t need to have our heads in the sand.”

One reason it didn't help is because Stoneman Douglas High is a 45-acre campus ..way too much area for the lone resource officer to cover adequately..

Get you facts straight. 13 of the top 20 members of Congress who take the most money from pharmaceutical companies are Republicans.

Do a little research before talking out of your butt.

The police show up... how do they know who the bad guy is? 


They point their guns at everyone and make everyone drop their guns. When they have control of the scene they ask who the bad guy is.
