Easy darkhorse... their little brains are already working overtime trying to spin this tragedy. Don't make them any more confused than they already are
Don't have to spin anything, FBI had 2 golden opportunities to stop this and whiffed because they're just another bloated overpaid incompetant government operation. It was on a platter for them and 17 people are dead because of it and of course the nut. If he said on facebook he was going to blow up the school instead of be a shooter, then he would've blown it up. Go ahead and blame the gun...

Truth is, without the bowdown to the NRA & extreme paranoia of the govt taking all guns away, there is no reason for us not to enact far stricter gun restrictions & uniform natl regulations. Without the NRA influence, political football, divisive elements, it would be looked at as purely humane & common sense.
Knowing what we know about our society today....broken families, much mental illness & misfit, deranged individuals & amt of folks that totally lose touch with humanity - the value of their lives & others, it should be more imperative than ever to enact common sense gun regulation & restrictions. Not less or just say "well, nothing will prevent EVERYTHING" or the insane over-simplistic copout such as "guns don't kill people, guns do". If at this point if having metal detectors/armed guards at schools, fine..let's try it. But to know what we know, it's BS & basically semi-criminal to do nothing. Are we to have armed guards everywhere,,,including large popular clubs, restuarants & everywhere where there are regular large gatherings...community centers, etc?
Thoughts?

Mom should win Mother of the Year award for that parenting. I was in 7th grade once, I don't recall having the opportunity to take a loaded gun to school.

So knowing the variety, depth & prevalence of so many societal, parenting, mental health probs that exist in the country, how can anyone who values life not want to ban any/every weapon & accessories that can kill dozens of folks in a few short minutes?
