Thoughts on VP debate...

OMG!   In the first 20 mins, both canididates SUCK!

Seriously!   BOTH!  

NEITHER CAN ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION ASKED!!!!

Pence tosses an interception to Harris.....Harris fumbles the ball.

Pence throws another interception....Harris fumbles that ball too!

I was a winning and experience debater on the debate team in high school and then again in University.

I would easily squash either of them so far on the questions asked because they are both making dumba$$ statements that leaves them wide open to counter-attack.

DUMB!  BOTH!

Pence gets points for being a bit more congenial to his opponent, imo, so far in the early going,

but runs over his allotted time MORE THAN Harris which loses points for comportment.

Pence has been making numerous FALSE statements, but Harris fumbled those balls too.

Pence boasts of Trump's history as a businessman.

Let's cut to Atlantic City to hear what people there have to say about the brand or

The bankruptcy courts where he screwed over the little guy or

His golf courses that are hemorrhaging money.

Give us a break about this phony!

Pence states numerous falsehoods but the best Harris can do is say "that's not true" -- lacking any counterattack supported by facts!

AMAZING incompetence by both.

But can't blame Pence for making false claims if Harris can't/won't counter them!  He might as well keep stating them and make up more and more BS.  Actually it's a clever strategy given the failure of Harris to directly respond.

Mike Pence just said that if elected Joe Biden will repeal all the tariffs that Trump imposed on China and I have never wanted to vote for Joe Biden more.

These are the first words out of Harris's mouth: "The American people have witnessed what is the greatest failure of any presidential administration in the history of our country."

"Joe saved the auto industry and you voted against it. "

Pence's claim that Biden wants to repeal trumps disasterous  Tax Cuts  on day one is TRUE.

If Biden is successful then logically that minor tax benefit to the majority will disappear and so it can be said by extension that the average American will "in effect" pay more in taxes than under trump -- though not more than during Obama's admin.  So it is in effect a reutrn to normalcy.

It is a FACT,  a proven FACT as laid out in another thread, that economies thrive better and *AVERAGE* Americans wealth is BETTER under Dem admins than GOP admins overall, on average.  So a return to previous norms of taxes is NOT in itself a bad thing....but HARRIS failed to counter.....again......

Susan Page has to do a better job at getting these 2 to actually answer the question asked & not go off on some riff.

I judge this debate as an Independent and Moderate, and as one with a winning history in formal debating.

Harris is being given great field position time after time and she comes up to the line, barks an audible, and promptly fumbles the ball literally every minute!  aarrrggghhhh!!

Pence has landed several solid jabs, yes, but Harris has also landed several and slightly more overall than Pence.

Both still SUCK at debating, in my learned opinion.

As a non-partisan observer (although an avowed "adolf" hater),

Harris is definitely ahead on this scorecard but only slightly.

Well I believe this debate moved exactly zero votes to either side.

This debate isn’t going to change any minds (as expected). Honestly, if Pence were on top of the ticket, the GOP would probably have a better shot at winning the election.  Trump better hope that all the polls are wrong right now or that he’s able to make up some big ground in the next month.
