Harris got destroyed........all she could run to was "200k people died because of the virus!...."
She never once discussed what they would've done to prevent that......lol

Agreed. That's IF they had a formal education.

Yes. Polls and focus groups are already showing a heavy lean to Harris winning that debate.
More to come.

If anyone says one side destroyed the other they are lying.
Pence repeated Trump talking points and dodged questions left and right. Harris did the same thing. I only heard one bit a substance with regards to policy about taxing rich people and infusing the tax money into the community. Whether that is true or not remains to be seen but I did not hear a lot of policy, just a bunch of back and forth bantering. The fact that americans like this type of shit is unreal. Why can't we get back to which candidate is going to make our lives substantially better? Does anyone really think Biden or Trump are going to do that?

I agree kaga. I didn't learn anything new from either of them. They dodged questions & one answer I really wanted to hear was their plans "for a transfer of power" if that became necessary.
Neither answered that very important question.

Agreed.
We should note however, that while any president can play a part in making "our lives substantially better" - and by that we mean the MAJORITY of the people - not primarily the top 10% lucky ones or a particular class/segment of our society - the most power and significance lies in Congress, not the president or admin per se.
Our path FORWARD ultimately depends on Congress, and to a lesser degree the admin as well as SCOTUS.
But our path BACKWARD into chaos (or a stall toward progress) could eaily be directed by the WH admin, SCOTUS, or both inspite of Congress' efforts. We only have to witness the epic failure in pandemic response for proof.
Imagine if you will, trump is re-elected, but with a split Congress again. What can HE do to "make the MAJORITY of lives better" (as agreed in the eyes of the MAJORITY, not just one party) - when Congress fails or refuses to support his initiatives ? And if Dems have even one chamber they *WILL* oppose any initiative which fails to help the MAJORITY. To date, the overwhelming number of trump initiatives that require Congress support have NOT been helpful to the majority.
Likewise if a Biden admin is faced with a split Congress. The GOP will oppose virtually EVERYTHING his admin tries to initiate and we will have perpetual gridlock if the Republicans hold on to the Senate. Nothing of any real significance will occur. We witnessed this in the last 6 of Obama's 8 years in office. As long as we continue to elect split chambers in Congress, real positive changes can be and WILL BE thwarted by partisanship. At best, progress would be painfully slow.
Gridlock. Bottom line.
But, a President (or admin) can single-handidly (devoid of Congress) make life much more difficult, more stressful, and less safe -- as we have all witnessed since 2017...
In short, the power to make better lies MOSTLY with Congress.
But the power to make worse lies mostly in the White House.
What effect a Biden Admin may or may not have is pure speculation at this point - no matter what your party affiliation or political ideology. Just speculation.
But we have firsthand evidence of what a TRUMP Admin can do (or fail to do) for the *MAJORITY* of Americans ... The re-election of an incumbent president is ALWAYS a referendum on HIM....and it ain't pretty according to the overwhelming majority.
Agreed.

Yes, sure trump and his accomplices in his admin have done things to make the WEALTHY happy. (a tiny minority group)
And they have done things to make just ONE party (conservative ideology) happy....again a minority of Americans.
But what has he done to the betterment of the MAJORITY -- including Democrats and people of color -- which these Democrats and minorities agree with ??
And conversely what has he done to the detriment of the MAJORITY ?

She was just as bad as Pence and that in itself is a problem. No side is giving policies, they are just lying and mudslinging. We the people deserve better. You guys maybe satisfied with pig slop but I am not.

It is true in my opinion that both sides are guilty of lying and mudslinging. No question!
But it is hardly EQUAL on both sides!
In my many years officiating basketball both at the highschool and adult levels, while EVERY team in EVERY game were charged with various "fouls" it was actually rare that the number of fouls was exactly equal by games end. And frequently it was lopsided. Just because there are two opposing factions does not mean everything is EQUAL. It isn't.
Pence was far more "loose with the facts" than Harris, as well as "mudslinging"
The truth is, because the actual real-life fact-checked *FACTS* are so damning against the trump regime, the left has no need to get stupid with false narratives -- they can just let the facts speak for themselves and sit back and watch the trump-regime trainwreck.
It's the right that needs to change THAT damning *FACTUAL* narrative around somehow because it really is bad....so they LIE and spin far more than the left. Strategically I can't really blame them for that since it's really all they have left.... It's like the Captain of the Titanic telling the passengers they did NOT hit an iceberg, they are NOT taking on water, and they are NOT in danger of sinking...

That debate hurt Harris more than it helped Pence.
