How does the labour cost fit into the strikes? Havent both these ships been deployed in the region for a few years, im not sure how the labour cost factors into anything really. The cost was already on the books. No?

What do you mean Putin 'Let' the attack happen? He didn't have a choice...they had an hours notice. Nobody ASKED for permission. How exactly is Putin playing Trump like a fiddle? Airbase up and running? Are you joking? They had 20 high dollar planes destroyed. They will likely not use chemicals again. Trump wins. You can say that stuff about my words but you fail to back it up. Talk is cheap.
If you think China is proud of their little ally, North Korea you are mistaken. They embarrass China with every headline.

I dont get the partisan crap about foreign policy with regards to that region.
There is no such thing as a good foreign policy when you are dealing with unstable, brutal dictators and religious carnage.
So saying "Obama's foreign policy" or "Bush's foreign policy" all of that is just stupid. How can you have a successful foreign policy to that area in any fashion?
I agree with most of that. It is always a slippery slope in that region.. It is difficult if not impossible to have good policy there. But that doesn't mean you can't swing and miss like Obama absolutely did. I get that he, like every other person or country wanted to convince Assad not to use chemical warfare against his people or anyone else. Anytime ever in the history of the Earth going back to neanderthals...if you make a threat and don't follow through it NEVER turns out good. And Obama's actions did zero good in the region. Would have been better off with almost anybody else calling the shots.

Arab spring and Muslim brotherhood protests destabilized the country. This can be solved but diplomacy works a lot better with leverage of military action .

This is true former President Obama and Hillary Rodman Clinton endorsed the “Arab Spring" this lead to the creation of ISIS ...
It is their actions that directly cause its creation and spread of ISIS.

As usual you are partisan deflecting again..
You need to come up with a better approach than attacking democrats when you disagree and deflecting by USING them when you agree with the action (in this case Trump's decision).
The actions of US politicians has very very little to do with the spread of ISIS...
Want to know what will spread ISIS the quickest?
Remove Saddam, remove Assad...that is the fastest way to spread religious based hatred filled groups like this.
Obama's approach over there is no worse off than removing a dictator, in fact keeping enemies that you can control and contain works much better than removing and letting the real problem come out in the open. That area will NEVER be peaceful...it wont happen and unfortunately you have to do what is least damaging and least disruptive, that is about all that can be done.
This bombing and any thought of removal is 100% the wrong decision, just like removing Saddam was.

I would like some of the great thinkers in Congress and thought design centers like Heritage security dwelve into a study to theorize a working model to solve this situation. Even by drawing on the designed plan and out come of stated actions in Iraq and Lybia as what to prevent from reaccuring negative outcomes.

When Obama took office there was No ISIS ....this is not partisan deflecting ,,but a fact.
The Obama administration, including Hillary Clinton, created ISIS and allowed it to spread...we can trace the rise of ISIS to Obama’s decisions in Iraq....the Obama administration also turned over one of our allies ---Egypt--- Obama called for Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak
to step down and after he did it opened the way for the Islamist terrorist Muslim Brotherhood to take over... and The Obama administration including SOS Clinton overthrew a innocuous dictator in Libya and gave that country to Islamists.
Democrats are responsible for doing all this..and for that they should be attacked ,,“No-drama Obamas' foreign policy in the Middle East was a tragic failure..

Why can we not learn from our failures in Iraq and lybia compared to achievements in Japan Germany and South Korea in other conflicts. To sustain a stradgy for our generational approach to sustained peace in the middle east.
We can split the proton in an atom yeah.
But we can not seem to get humans to stop
Killing and torturing humans.

So no other religious centered organizations like this existed prior to ISIS is that what you are saying?
Come on with that..
You could find every single "member" of this ISIS and bury them all, and right behind them there would be some other organization created...it has ZIPPO to do with Obama and whatever political group you are against...nothing at all.
It has everything to do with the religion and the culture in that area and that is why it will NEVER change and why we cannot make foreign policy there.

That's not what I'm saying..there were other religious centered organizations prior to ISIS....there was religious Jihadist groups namely al-Qaeda and before that the Mujahideen ....but ISIS was formed by the Obama administration as they made the decision to arm and train ISIS-linked Syrian rebels.
They were providing the money, training, communications and weapons equipment
needed to overthrow Assad, all of which are now being used by ISIS....

If you want to have some sort of foreign policy in that area, the options are limited and have been and will be.
We have "funded and trained" MANY groups in that area going back probably 100 years, maybe longer.
The name ISIS means nothing, the underlying principals and cultural issues are really the only thing that matters and it is impossible to change those things by either tossing bombs at them or removing whatever current leader is in charge.
Blaming Obama for ISIS when we have done the same thing countless times in the past by various administrations is nothing other than political blame and deflection.

Tillerson Putin in Kremlin had a productive meeting. China NATO is a seem on the same page. If Russia turns from supporting Assad Iran and North Korea those regimes cannot stand for long in defiance of international embargo and blockade.

I must admit I haven't seen the phrase "great thinkers in Congress" used in decades.

Exactly.
Weakening a dictator creates a vacuum in leadership that allows terrorism to flourish. We saw it happen in Iraq and did not learn our lesson.
Want to know the amount of times in history that democracy is permanently established out of a religious theocracy?

Funny how we make a massive mistake not all that long ago and pay for it in huge debt and lives lost. The same identical scenario is returning yet some people refuse to see what is right in front of their face and will blindly, stupidly support a repeat in the SAME region with the SAME religious issue and the SAME social climate.
It goes to show that some people will follow and support any course of action if it serves their political self interests and many would rather go through Iraq again if it means their party has control of the government.
And we wonder how a dope like Trump got elected? People that vote are more moronic than the clown running the country but at least their political group gets to dictate how this mess goes forward.

Trump did in Syria exactly what Obama failed to do when Assad crossed
the amateurish red line Obama had drawn against the use of chemical weapons.............
Obama declared,, that if Assad used chemical weapons, it would warrant U.S. military action,,,that he would respond with overwhelming force....Assad use chemical weapons and Obama didn't respond ... this was a blow to American authority....When it came time to do something Obama passed the buck to Congress to avoid strikes in Syria..
As former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said President Barack Obama damaged U.S. credibility by drawing a "red line "against Syria’s use of chemical weapons and then failing to back up the warning with military force..
The American people wanted change at the top,, in our leadership in foreign policy and voted for President Trump for that reason ...and he is delivering that change ..no matter what the isolationist and never trumpers in this country want..
Even the leader of the Trump resistance Chuck U.Schumer, said "the strikes were the right thing to do."
Nancy Pelosi added “Tonight’s strike in Syria appears to be a
proportional response to the regime’s use of chemical weapons.”
Hillary Rodman Clinton even called for "the United States to take out Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad's Air Force,, on the morning before the attack.".. she wanted us to bomb the hell out of Syria..
With actions like President Donald Trump took in Syria the people that voted for him now know, that they made the right decision for you country on Nov.8th 2016in electing a real leader ..not a pretend one like we had for the last 8 years..
