THE TRUTH:

FEMA immediately responded to the disaster in North Carolina and said that it had more than 1,700 staff deployed in the state! FEMA said on October 16 that it had approved more than $100 million in individual aid to North Carolina residents.

At a briefing in early October, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper said, “We’re grateful for the quick actions and close communications that we have had with the president and with the FEMA team.”

Harris’ "alleged" border role, LIE:

Trump repeated these false claims about Vice President Kamala Harris: “She was the border czar. She was in charge of the border.”

FALSE! 

THE TRUTH:
Harris was never “border czar,” a label the White House has always emphasized is completely inaccurate....and she was never in charge of border security - a responsibility of Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas - not Harris!

In reality, President Biden gave Harris a different and more limited immigration-related assignment in 2021, asking her to lead diplomacy with El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras in an attempt to address the conditions that prompted their citizens to try to migrate to the United States.

Associated press reports that Mexico president denies Trump claim of border closing after his 25% tariff threat.   Mexico is already reducing illegal immigration because of deal with Biden administration.  Arrivals at border are down 40% from all time highs.  But Trump likes to take credit for the efforts of other people.  In first term, Trump recklessly violates international agreements.  His new tariffs would threaten trade deal between US, Canada and Mexico.

Trump falsely claimed, “Crime is at an all-time high.”

That is nowhere close to true! 

Both violent crime and property crime rates have plummeted in the US since the early 1990s and are far below all-time highs. FBI data shows that crime declined again in 2023 and 2024

That's how his promises end up when it otherwise might be good for all Americans. He does tend to stick to promises when it is to victimize or punish critics or people who aren't white and Christian
