Increase the penalties for opiod distributors. When people overdose, charge the dealer with their death.
Who is the dealer, how can you track the dealer, with some bar code scanner?
What happens when the dealer is a doctor like in the precise case of my friends wife? Does he go to jail for not properly screening a personality type who has the propensity to easily get addicted after a traffic accident?

You talk like you have a clue, the only problem is that you don’t.
The problems
1. Heroin coming in across the Mexican border
2. Heroin being distributed across the country
3. Fentanyl
4. Pain clinics
5. Dr’s over prescribing pain killers in America
Need to get tougher at the border and tougher on dealers. Start cleaning up, the way NYC cleaned up the crack epidemic.
Need to shut down pain clinics.
Need to shut down methadone clinics.
Need to re-educate Dr’s on addiction. This will never happen. They’re know it alls and they know nothing. Explaining addiction to most Dr’s is like explaining the color red to a blind person.

What information are you using to come to the conclusion that a wall is a bad idea?
The wall has not done anything in the areas it currently exists, that is what they dig tunnels for and run through the border and fly planes and use water ways etc etc etc etc for..
The wall will do nothing except soak the taxpayer and be a massive, never ending cost year after year after year.
We cannot even properly stop the border crossing from being a route for drugs, and that is a limited scope of area...the wall will not deter anything, there is much greater motivation to find a way around it and under it and over it than we have to maintain, police and protect it.
Let me guess...out comes the Trump-esque "we will have the National Guard patrol it" reply?

Clearly going over or under a wall is more difficult and time consuming than walking across an invisible line.
Walls have proven to be a successful tool.
The wall in Yuma, Arizona, supported by Clinton, Barack, and Biden has been a major improvement.
When Israel built their wall they saw drastic improvements.
Hungry’s wall has been one of the most effective barriers in recent times.
Macedonia.
There was a wall put up in the border of India and Pakistan and the liberal NYT headline was “India and Pakistan: Good fences make great neighbors”.
Obama’s head of the Border Patrol said that barriers and walls do help stop the surging tide of illegals and drugs into the US.
“Don’t lock your car door, because people will just smash out the window.” —> Wally’s argument.
Will the wall be expensive? Yes. But the cost of illegal immigration and massive flow of drugs on our healthcare, welfare, education, hospitals, criminal justice system, highway safety, drug violence, is incalculable.

If he's so serious about the opioid crisis, why didn't he declare it a "national emergency" which would have prompted the rapid allocation of federal funding which he promised during his campaign?
Instead he declared "the government would produce really tough, really big, really great advertising” to persuade Americans not to try drugs in the first.
His point of view on the crisis is less than juvenile.

I love how this is your argument now and then in a couple of weeks when funds are requested you’ll have something else to whine about instead of giving him credit.

No need for several messages you made in this thread...do not bait others, if you have a question or comment ask it with respect to others even if you disagree with their perspective.
