Chinese firms are copying US products and ideas and either selling them back to the US at a lower price or squeezing US imports out of the Chinese market.
“For too long, this wealth has been drained from our country while Washington has done nothing. They have never done anything about it,” Trump said to reporters at the White House. “But Washington will turn a blind eye no longer.”
Trump said that combatting piracy and theft of information from American companies was long overdue, blaming the political establishment for looking the other way.

Very good move. Trump is somebody you want on your side.
Trump is acting fast on this investigation. The Commission on the Theft of American Intellectual Property estimates that the annual cost to the US economy from counterfeit goods, pirated software and theft of trade secrets is between $225 and 500 billion a year.

Anyway you slice it, everyone should be happy that attention is being brought to this issue. It's been going on for too long. It's time to stop the bleeding.

Does this mean he's going to have his and Ivanka's clothing line manufactured here instead of Asia?
Make America great again and Made in America, while Trump towers are made of Chinese steel. Perhaps, it won't matter to some US steel workers who, regardless still voted for Donald J Trump in last Nov.

Probably not then again he might if the price is right. You must understand most of America's Factories closed and moved overseas and if Trump brought his work back would you work for him. Seriously I doubt anyone here besides grandma knows how to work a sewing machine...... Lets be real, he is going to cut back Federal Jobs eventually that pay $27 Hr to $15 and pay for your own HealthCare as many to making $12 an hour!
Your call KT?
BTW who are you employed with? My guess is the Government as are most of Trumps non-supporters

Donald Trump may have used steel and aluminum from Chinese
manufacturers in other projects ..but Trump Towers is considered to be one of the most expensive private
concrete jobs in history-running up a $22 million concrete bill,
compared with only $300,000 worth of touch-up steelwork...the Gumbas in the New York's concrete industry wouldn't allow it to be any other way..

Your guess isn't even close, private sector. However, from my time in the military, I do know a decent amount of people that still do work for the government. Pretty evenly split on those who support Trump and those who don't. I find the more intelligent ones don't support Trump. The ones that generally can think for themselves and still have all their teeth, typically don't support Trump.
There aren't too many jobs I would turn down if the situation were correct (i.e. wages, location, job type, etc). If Trump brought is line back and manufactured here I would be more than willing to support him. But he isn't. He isn't "Making America Great Again" by pretty much doing the easiest thing he could, and that's manufacturing his own clothing line here in America. I guess he could, but that would obviously eat into profits. And we all know he isn't putting the American worker before profits now is he?
