Yup he trying trickle down economic when Reagan took office we had a debt of around 200 million so deficit spending could be described as a short term economic. Boost to counter the 70's recession brought on by fuel prices quadrupling in a decade. 1970 has was around a quarter a gallon by 1980 gas was about a bi k for leaded gasoline.

Trump doing the Republican routine cut revenue increase defense spending and blaming the elderly for their entitlement program social security.
Republicans say how fish ak conservative but reality they are dead beats who won't pay their bill.
Yes democrats do tax and spend to keep a balanced budget .
But Republicans just spend spend spend some more and have never had a way to actually pay for what they are doing. Thought wrong
Took me 126 days but reality trump just a mouth piece to get Americans to vote for him and really could care less for those that actually put him in office . so after McConnell loses the Senate and Ryan loses the house trump last stand will be Mr veto till
He loses it all in 2020 .
And we can repeat all the fun we had under Obama. At least it is going to be entertaining to watch Ryan and mcxonnel cry of what demo rats are doing this Mich fun can last a century.

Packers - I will try to not be condescending here but I admit it will be hard.

In your first post you say "wether it works or not I want my taxes cut. And I'll be honest I give 2 shi$ts about the deficit or our environment". "Cut my taxes fix out infrastructure"....

Not sure what to say here. That line in itself is fully backwards.

And then you say you are "25 and Christian and PROUD of it"...???

I will leave it there and not comment further other than saying Please stop voting -- regardless of your party preference.

Look, I've been talking about this forever.  My original objection to Trump was actually his damn tax plan.  You can't reduce the top tax bracket like he did, which constitutes the biggest portion of the federal budget and increase spending on the military because it'll end up with a shortfall.  Even if you believe the growth Trump promised, there's no way it'd possibly be enough in the first year to offset the amount of money missing from the budget and probably not even the 2nd year.

Ignoring that, however, the problem I have with giving big tax cuts to the corporations and top 1% is that it usually just encourages them to increase their profit margins overall.  Businesses expand and create jobs out of necessity so just because they may have more money at their disposal, it doesn't automatically mean they'll start hiring more people or even bother growing.

What I think is funny is that if people really wanted jobs with benefits as much as they say they do, they'd move to California where farmers are actually offering benefits and even land as incentives.  The reality is these people don't really want to do manual labor like that and it's beneath them.

I always love getting lectured by people like darkhorse and mattbrot about my faith. Its like Snooki lecturing me on spray tanning

When I voted in November I knew who and what I was voting for...I just see here that people don't seem to like my choice....So that's how I know I got it right

Elections have consequences....And to the victor go the spoils

I don't go to church. I don't like what the church represents as IMO a vast majority don't represent Christianity. The older I get the more I love God, the more I love Jesus the more I dislike the church.

Also you watch Face the Nation? People still watch those BS shows?

Your comments and views will positively change as you get older, even if you stay conservative they will. Even a one sided viewpoint as some older guys have is not the same as it was when they were inexperienced as you are.

Having an open mind is how you evolve, learn and expand yourself. At this time in your life you view others in a way that will change as YOU become closer to the groups in age that you are complaining about.

Ivoted against Hillary and the way Democrats were doing business.
Of all the candidates on republican side
Trump was the best candidate. And that is indeed very sad. Any of them would have better than her doss not make me dyed in red Republican but I try to be a bipartisan independent.
For instance the pro life candidate RU ning for Omaha has my attention. He is a Democrat. Believes in conservation and a fetus is a human. Hard to believe but he does. I like gov Perry he was a.Democrat turned Republican After gore lost the primaries in 1988.
Rand Paul has an independent perspective . Susan Collins and Angus King both can be described as moderates as well. I like these for they are not little party yes man. Or do not glaringly seem that way

There is a quote, often attributed to Winston Churchill, sometimes to John Adams. It goes like this: If a man is not a liberal at the age of 20, he has no heart; if he is not a conservative at the age of 40, he has no head.

The ACA was put in place to take advantage of 'dumb' Americans. Just ask one of the writers. His name is John Gruber. Please see below.

Affordable care act is a disaster .
But republicans can not repeal and replace and just to hard headed to work across the aisle. Completely disgusting everyone in Washington knew that this was a problem but it was done as we have to do something eben if it is not perfect at the time. The problems started with the server the program and computer debacle. And it was allowed to be rolled out in stages allowing further And needed modification but that was where it ended it became the line in the sand.
Obama hinged his whole legacy on this and even though everyone wanted to amend and improve this bill. Now that the disagreement amend and improve vs repeal and replace. Could we just start fixing the vast problems and stop
Grand standing so nothing is done.

Not sure how so many threads evolve into healthcare Obama bashing, but it is as I say so many times ERRONEOUS to point blame at the ACA as a failure because Obama or Trump or Bush or any politician attempted to create coverage for more people.

If you abolish the ACA the issue of why it struggled still exists, the issue of why HC inflation has dramatically outpaced general CPI still exists yet all I hear from one group is political blaming and finger pointing, it is stupid and lacks any thinking to blame and put something down that has great intentions but lacks the ability to succeed.

How could anyone think costs would not go up? Costs for all health insurance goes up, it rarely goes down...it might mean that if you are employer sponsored you might not notice because the employer might absorb the inflation, or do as ours is and switches coverage like every two years trying to chase plans to keep inflation down...but I have noticed yearly an increase in costs and decrease in benefits across the board...and I am not part of ACA.

Focus on what has a greater importance than just moronic political finger pointing and blame.

A dufus like Trump was elected because of this exact blame oriented mentality and what a disaster this is and will continue to be.

Blame reactionary decision making is for simpleton morons who cannot think for themselves and dig deeper than the surface on an issue.

Well said sir. If we are to begin to address the problem it is cost to consumers . USA buys the most medication yet we cannot negotiate costs. Electricity costs increase must go to PUC to be approved why I'd this not addressed in a more important commodity health. If we have no way to stop costs for health increase to obvious price gouging.
Everything in Washington is about a shoe political theater no one can achieve any thing. It is beyond gross

Barack Obama :  Families “could save up to $2,300” on health care costs per year in the future by buying insurance through exchanges called for by the law"................. Obama promised he would cut the annual cost of premiums by $2,500 ,, with his health care overhaul.....vote for me...

If you were dumb enough to fall for that one and voted for him in 2008 ..then you bought this one and vote again for him in 2012...

“The other thing we’ve done is to say, what are the critical needs of small business? A lot of time, one of the biggest challenges is to make sure that you, as a sole proprietor, that you can get health insurance for you and your family.  So when you hear about the Affordable Care Act — Obamacare — and I don’t mind the name because I really do care.  That’s why we passed it. You should know that once we have fully implemented, you’re going to be able to buy insurance through a pool so that you can get the same good rates as a group that if you’re an employee at a big company you can get right now — which means your premiums will go down.”

    — President Obama, campaign speech in Cincinnati, July 16, 2012

Only proves.. that people.. that voted for Barack Hussein Obama  are very dimwitted ..they bought the lie.. and because of that they still don't realise that Obamacare was a lie from the beginning...

But back to the thread . at what point does this tax cut ever achieve debt control. We want a wall a stronger defense better education tighter border security . at what point does this PAY for the Federal budget. The whole problem with newt's debt relief was it was like lipo suction. They did not change their spending habits they applied a quick fix and very quickly started racking up a new debt.
But at this point it does not matter whose fault this was blame game is over . We have a debt 20 times our yearly salary and we need to reduce our income to get out of debt? Does this make any sense to anyone at this point.
Can anyone please explain how this is done.

But at this point it does not matter whose fault this was blame game is over . We have a debt 20 times our yearly salary and we need to reduce our income to get out of debt? Does this make any sense to anyone at this point.
Can anyone please explain how this is done.
