For clarification still if interest on the debt came to 5% a modest figure for savings accounts back in 2000 our interest only payment would be the federal budget. Maybe shut it down for a year could be a realistic plan at that point.

You can have any health care system. You can have Obamacare Trumpcare Packers1992care etc. And in any system you have 1 problem and the problem is in this country we look at health as a for-profit institution

Until all of as americans come together and decide health is NOT a profit making institution then it won't matter what they do. And health care IS NOT a right

My suggestion remains the same.... Repeal Obamacare and DON'T replace it. healthcare as it stands in America and the Obamacare law is an ENTITLEMENT as will be Trumpcare

And in any of the systems... how will you get people like me who are under 30 to buy into the system? because people of my age are not paying into Obamacare because for the most part we're relatively healthy and finances are tight

Give Obama and the Dems credit they gave Americans especially Poor people and Minorities the heroin known as the entitlement so now when it gets repealed the Big Bad Republicans took your health care.... when they never should've had it in the 1st place

Exactly,, repeal Obamacare and do not replace it with another government plan...repeal the Obamacare mandates and its control over our economy and the healthcare industry.....

You are too immature to make the comments you do, and when you are so blatantly lacking perspective it makes it difficult to have any kind of discussion with you.

At your age there is little to no recourse because you have not faced the need for services yet, so yeah all you b!tch about is costs and your taxes, without understanding the concept of costs. You really have no clue about collective costs and your ideas of letting everyone fend for themselves rather than a collective is evidence of how clueless you are.

Life changes your perspective without a doubt..I've shared this example before a few times and it fits you to a T...my inlaws worked for the government for over 25 years, both of them and when I first got to know them they were moronic Reagan worshipers, clueless and blind lacking perspective...blanket repub voters down the line. It was brutal being around them and the full lack of perspective and how blind they were...needless to say I avoided making any political discussion with them because they were clueless party voters, just barfing up whatever the right wing crap was at the time...gave me a headache for sure.

Well fast forward to now and life has changed these hard line repub voters and now they are both the exact opposite...180 degree turn because they went from not understanding the need for social services and care and the need for healthcare to actually NEEDING it and valuing it. Its all about self interest and they are the same....just like you will be.

So spare the one sided inexperienced babble because you have no idea what you are talking about. Your idea of abolishing Obamacare is selfish and moronic, you lack understanding of life in its fullness, you are basking in your youth and that will not last.

To me the closest comparison is Term life insurance...not that I am saying you need to buy some or it has value, rather the COST of term life and how it changes as YOU age and change...this is the same.

For a 25 yr old kid like you, term life is cheap because the max term it covers is 30 yrs...so you will be out of coverage by the age of 55...and based on actuarial tables you will be a low risk, so your cost is low...well congrats on that because you wont use it more than likely so it is money you are spending without a great need. Same goes for healthcare...NOW you dont need it, so you see it as some social cost and to get rid of cost sharing because YOU dont need it so why should YOU have to pay for cost sharing?

Well your viewpoint will change, it has to change..and by the time you need it the inflation as it will happen will make you envy these days, your cost when you need it will be ENORMOUS because we are not fixing the problems that keep inflation raging as it is.

Obamacare/ACA is not the problem...abolishing it is not the answer, find and fix the problem, slow the general inflation and ACA could easily work.

One last thing, the concept of "open market exchanges" is moronic as well, they already exist and have for a LONG time. A few yrs ago I had to use an open market exchange and purchase healthcare coverage...it was with HealthNet I think, I forget the name but it was Health something...used it for a year. I shopped all the carriers from Blue Cross to Cigna to Aetna and this one was the best in premiums it covered more of what I needed (doc visits, some scripts) and it was awful...horrible awful coverage...but that was what choice I made based on risk/reward/premium after a long time comparing. The coverage was brutal, high co-pays and doc visit fees, high out of pocket and very low max coverage...I felt like if something happened where I really needed coverage I would be screwed...luckily I didnt need it but an open exchange does not solve anything at all. Competition in an inflation ravaged industry is not beneficial at all, costs still go up and most people cannot afford coverage let alone if they have any pre-existing conditions.

Open your mind and figure out life is not just you at your age, and be thankful for your health, many people are not as lucky.
