Trump's 2024 Election Promises

I was not around these cesspool thoughts prior to 2019 so in the spirit of keeping things fair and holding accountability where needed, I'm going to start a thread tracking our next POTUS's campaign promises for 2024 and see how those promises hold up through his 4 years of Presidency.  

This is not a bashing thread so let's keep it to business only please.  I don't want to hear about Biden nor anything from Trump's first go around 16-20.  This is simply "what has he committed to now and leading up to his inevitable election.  I will get the party started....

1.  Banning / not allowing the formation of government ran Central Bank Digital Currency.  This one is interesting as I'm sure this is coming from Vivek now that he is in Trump's election circle.  Wonder what office Trump has in mind for Vivek, but that is topic for another time.  

Saw that, its fake news to try and stir the pot. Central banks are not government agencies and they will do what they decide to do no matter what Trump says. Its not deep state either, central banks are autonomous and governments have little ability to change the decisions they make. Trump can counter that the prez picks the chair and I would say to that it doesnt matter who is the chair because the butt in the seat is not the driver of the vehicle.

Translation, Trump can say whatever he wants, he has zero control over a central bank digital currency, even if the US were not involved it would happen with other central banks if they decide to.

This may very well be true, but in the spirit of this thread that is not the name of the game.  We are recording campaign promises and at a later date we can come back and evaluate the "IF" and the "WHY" these promises were followed through or not.  We can prognosticate if you wish but I thought leaving out commentary like that might keep this thread more civil 

2.  End the Russian / Ukrainian War.  "I'll end it in a day" he said.  We won't hold him to that but let's see IF he can accomplish this feat and in how short of a time frame.

Trump further addressed his strategy of stopping the never ending wars by vowing to remove warmongers, frauds and “failures in the senior ranks of our government,” and replace them with national security officials who would defend America’s interests.

4. TRUMP: “As soon as I lift my hand from the Bible as your 47th president, I will seal the border, shut down the invasion of millions and millions of people coming in, and I will instruct the heads of ICE to begin the largest deportation program in American history”

I think Trump would could end it quickly as Putin has no fear of Biden.

 His "speeches" are rather abstract so it's hard to grasp what is campaign rhetoric & what is an actual promise.

 Sealing the border would be a good start.

#9 Terminate the California regulation that phase out the sale of all gas powered vehicles.

#10 Declare a national emergency to spur more drilling, pipelines, refineries, power plants & reactors & a massive increase in domestic energy supply. New York Economic Club 9/5/24

#11 Cut energy prices in half within a year. 

#12 End the Russia /Ukraine War.."Before I even arrive in the Oval Office, shortly after I enter the presidency I will have the horrible war between Russia/Ukraine settled." Detroit 8/26/24 

#13 Uproot the "deep state" by firing government employees who are corrupt bureaucrats. 

#14 Make in vitro fertilization treatment free with the government paying for the treatment or insurance companies required to pay.

#15 Conduct the largest deportation program in US history. "The day I take the oath of office, the migrant invasion ends." Kinston, NC 11/3/24

#16 End the Constitutional right to birthright citizenship. "I will sign on Day 1 an executive order ending automatic citizenship for the children of illegal aliens." Pickens, SC 7/1/23  

#17 Bar a "flood" of immigrants from Gaza." Under no circumstances should we bring thousands of refugees from Hamas controlled epicenters like Gaza to America. We just can't do it." Clive, IA 10/16/23

#18 Revoke the student visas of pro Hamas protestors & "radical anti Americans & anti Semitic foreigners." Clive, IA 10/16/23

#20 Sign pardons for some or many of those convicted or charged on the January 6th assault on the Capitol. "I will sign their pardons on Day 1." Mosinee, WI 9/7/24

#21 Impose a 25% tariff on everything imported from Canada & Mexico & add a 10% tariff on duties already of goods from China until China stems the flow of drugs into the US.

#22 Cut the corporate tax rate to 10% from 21% solely for companies that make their product in America. New York Economic Club 9/5/24

#23 Make expiring tax cuts permanent. "I will make the Trump tax cuts, the biggest cuts in US history, permanent. Libertarian National Convention 5/25/24

#24 "We have not tax on tips." Reading,PA 11/4/24

#25 Eliminate taxes on Social Security. "Seniors should not taxes on Social Security." Truth Social 7/31/24 

#26 Eliminate taxes on overtime pay. "That gives people more incentive to work." Tucson., AZ 9/12/24

#27 "I will make interest on car loans tax deductible." Grand Rapids, MI 11/4/24

#28 I will bring down the price on gas & groceries. Said many times in many places. He's already backtracking on that promise.

#29 Repeal the Affordable Care Act.

#30 Trump repeatedly promised throughout 2024 that the US would begin "paying off a tremendous amount of debt."

#31 Trump has often promised that inflation will be "defeated" after he is sworn back into office.

The POS says 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico will begin February 1.

One small problem.

The president does NOT have unilateral power to change tariff rates. He needs Congress and will GOP reps and senators vote to destroy their local economies?

Here's one of the traitors he pardoned. Michael Joseph Foy, 32, Wixom, MI

As he made his way into a Capitol tunnel with other mob rioters, Foy “picked up a sharp metal pole and threw it over the head of rioters into the body of a police officer . . . then used the hockey stick that he was carrying to attack police.” He struck officers with the stick at least eleven times, swinging away at their faces, heads, and necks “as if he were chopping wood with an ax.” He then entered the Capitol through a shattered window, urging other rioters to do the same. Convicted of two felonies in a bench trial before U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan; sentenced last month (on February 28) to 40 months in prison and 24 months of supervised release.

And another...Riley Kasper, 25, Pulaski, WI 

After breaching the Capitol grounds, Kasper sprayed bear spray at law enforcement officers and then boasted about it on social media, saying “I pepper-sprayed 3 cops so bad they got undressed and went home,” adding “we fucking took over Congress.” He also wrote about wielding a baton while screaming in the face of a fallen officer, of whom he said, “I’m pretty sure dude thought he was gonna die that day lol.” In a conversation recorded in jail, Kasper beamed that a photo of him wielding a can of bear spray against officers made him look “like a fucking badass.” He pleaded guilty and was sentenced last month (on February 26) to 37 months in prison and 24 months of supervised release and to pay $2,000 in restitution.

One more...Kenneth Bonawitz, 58, Pompano Beach, FL

Carrying an eight-inch hunting knife in a sheath on his belt, Bonawitz mounted and then leapt off of the stage that had been built for Joe Biden’s inauguration, tackling two Capitol Police officers. The officers managed to confiscate his knife, but Bonawitz got away. He proceeded to assault at least four more officers, putting one in a chokehold and lifting him off the ground. A member of the Proud Boys extremist group, Bonawitz left after being sprayed with a chemical agent. He then gave a media interview in which he complained about how rough the cops were with him and another interview in which he identified himself by name and home state. Bonawitz was sentenced on January 17 to 60 months in prison, and 36 months of supervised release.

Kind of at a loss here.  Most would argue the chances as better than good that Trump is dictating his agenda, policies, orders while no one has any inclination who dicated Biden's.

Is your contention that Biden was making decisions in the final months, weeks, days?

Thank you for that summary Mid.  Although I will not be fact checking this ongoing thread, it is for the people to do so.  I will jump in when moderation is needed.

My favorite thing about this thread is in the OP when I called out Trump being the next President back in January of 2024 and literally no one argued it except Joe P
