Pfizer distanced itself from the Trump administration's Operation Warp Speed on Monday after announcing some great news about its vaccine candidate.
Pfizer on Monday revealed that a first interim analysis suggested its COVID-19 vaccine is more than 90 percent effective, and Vice President Mike Pence said this was "thanks to the public-private partnership forged" by President Trump. But The New York Times reports that Dr. Kathrin Jansen, Pfizer's head of vaccine research and development, "sought to distance the company from Operation Warp Speed," the Trump administration's effort to speed up development of a coronavirus vaccine, and from politics in general.
"We were never part of the Warp Speed," Jansen told the Times. "We have never taken any money from the U.S. government, or from anyone."

All of the hate you are getting from the Covers leftist trolls on this remarkable achievement by the Trump administration was 100% expected. They know no bounds in dishing out hate. It's sad.
Surprisingly, CNN ran a story yesterday applauding the success of Warp Speed and begrudgingly gave the Trump administration its first positive news piece in over 4 years. I almost couldn't believe my eyes and ears.

Canada Cup. It is sad indeed. The left has no limits for their hate and insults, no matter the topic of conversation. I would urge you to refrain from reactive comments and avoiding ad hominem attacks in your reactions as they just continues the cycle. If the left continues with this type of behavior, let it be a reflection on them and not ourselves.
The fact is that the vaccines developed under "Warp Speed" are indeed a first of their kind. We have NEVER had a vaccine for any mutation of the Coronavirus. EVER. This incredible success by the Trump administration and our biotech community now shows that we may be able to apply a "HYPER FOCUS" approach to treating other viruses, diseases, and perhaps even cancers. Can you imagine the power that we now have knowing that we can apply a "hyper focus" concentrated approach to so many illnesses?

"Operation Warp Speed" may or may not have been an aid, but what is a great achievement about throwing unlimited funds to big pharma and telling them to go for it? It does not take courage, commitment or integrity to throw money at a problem. In spite of that Pfizer got there first, without funding from DJT or operation warp speed. Credit where credit is due; it was science that created a vaccine, not a politician. The speed at which it was created is due to the incredibly urgent need and modern scientific technology. Given the tools of today, and all past scientific methods developed, we should see medicines developed much faster than at any time in history. It is far easier and faster to build a damn, a building, or go to the moon than at any time in the past.
