I challenge the 72% number here in 2020 but it is definitely a huge part of the problem. The "problem" is very multifaceted, multipronged. There are issues with police. I think the issue is more prejudice than racism but even more than that I think the issue is more in vetting and training. Still I think the vast majority of police do a good job. I think the vast majority of people are not racist. I think a large number of white people are the polar opposite of racist. They are freakin' SJWs whose hearts bleed for minirites, bleed for illegals, bleed for the LGBT community, bleed for women's rights. None of this makes for good news apparently. I've been profiled many times by the police. I can remember being forced to lay on the ground at gunpoint because a couple of fed cops at the federal building mistook a fountain soda cup for a spray can. I was 14. And who draws down on a kid for graffiti? Many cops are prejudice? I've also had experiences where I was in the wrong and have had cops cut me a break. This issue is deep and not easily defined. What is very easy to define is the role the media plays in inciting unrest, division, of exploting groups of people for their own ratings and therefore profits.

This past weekend 61 people were shot in Chicago. 9 dead, including a 3, 16 and 17 year old. The two teenage boys were not a part of gang affiliation supposedly. Innocent people dying every day.
