People should be outraged that potentially millions of eligible voters could be disenfranchised to stop a few voter impersonators. Since people without acceptable ID must pay to obtain it, voter ID laws amount to a poll tax which violates US constitution. Also interference in right to vote violates law in various states. Courts have struck down discriminatory voter ID laws. For examples, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and others.
