Of course I've heard of them. It wasn't German law at the time though.

If Florida repealed stand your ground would you be in favor of retrying Zimmerman for manslaughter?

It's not hypocrisy anyways because I have used the standard all along 'If I believed...."

In my heart, I believe the Nazis murdered the Jewish people. In my heart I believe OJ murdered Ron and Nicole. In my heart, I believe Zimmerman had the right to use lethal force to prevent his skull from being crushed.

That's it. If you're too stupid to understand that and think its hypocritical then there is nothing I can do.

You're using a subjective standard....your opinion. You're allowed to by all means, but it is subject. You're not being objective on this one. Which is fine.

You're being a hypocrite because you condone one party to profit off of justifiable homicide, while condemning another party for doing the same.

I'm sure in your heart you mean well but it's still hypocrisy.

But since we don't have the same moral standards concerning this topic, have you given any thoughts to my Tamir Rice toy gun set idea? Since you're ok with people making money off of the deaths of others, I figure you should take advantage of the idea.

You are the hypocrite, you gave Z responsibility but give none to TM.

TM is the one who pushed Z into acting with deadly force, but to you that doesn't matter for some odd reason.

We've definitely reached the end of this discussion. You keep reverting back to the incident and. It the actual selling of the weapon and the topic of profiting off of death.

Bowl - just curious, why are you so emotionally invested in being right about the incident? We went back & forth on it back then, but you could never even accept the possibility that Z lied about most of it & shot Martin because he was getting the best of him. Given all the inconsistencies of his statements & things where there was no witness or evidence...just his word (coming out of bushes, sucker punch, etc) and the fact that he was in armed pursuit as basically an angry vigilante (shown on the 911 call) who'd already determined Martin was up to no good, pretty amazing that you've been so certain & rigid about it from the beginning.

Granted, with the SYG law, no direct eye witnesses to how the fight started/shooting & the horrible job done by the prosecution, it's understandable (but sad) how he got off, but still never made any common sense when you look at all the elements & put it together.

As for the idea of OJ profiting off the death of Ron and Nicole...yes everyone had a problem with it since he lost a civil case and never paid any of the money he legally owed the Goldman family. If he had, and wanted to sell his Bruno Magli shoes or cashmere gloves, it would have been in poor taste but it would have been his right. Furthermore, the blacks and liberal media portrayed OJ in a completely different light than Saint Trayvon. As many have already stated, Zimmermann has literally no way to make any income. His options are limited and this is one way he can bring in funds. I doubt he's doing it for any other reason than financial gain.

Yes, he's got the right & it's exactly the kind of thing I would expect from Zimmerman.

No doubt in my mind he committed manslaughter, but given the circumstances would have been very tough to prove beyond reasonable doubt. Could have been done though. Prosecution did a lousy job & a key witness (Jeantel) proved to be a trainwreck in court. He got away with it pure & simple...it happens.

I did give all that a little credence. And I agree with you that Trayvon was getting the best of him. He was trying to split his head open on the sidewalk.

Apparently, you didn't pay any attention to the testimony of Rachel Jenteel. Shes basically the one who testified that Trayvonn had made it very close to the house he was staying at which meant that he would have had to double back to go and confront Zimmerman where the incident took place.

After looking at all the testimony and trial. I streamed the whole thing every day of it. I decided to go with common sense and not what the public wanted the outcome to be. Because it went against the grain of common sense.

Go ahead cashin. listen to the 911 call again with an open mind. You'll hear the fear in his voice when he says "Hes coming over to check me out" he wanted nothing to do with confrontation. NOTHING!

The screaming! Trayvon didn't have any injuries to suggest Z had even layed a finger on him that would have made him scream for help. Zimmerman had a sucker punched nose and cuts on the back of his head.

Cashin, common sense is a good thing....you should try it sometime rather than speculate to fit your prescribed outcome.

That's funny bowls. Not getting into it all again but suffice it to say our ideas of common sense are very different. In the 911 call, I seem to remember something along the lines of "these fool always get away" as well as other stuff that showed he was convinced that Martin was up to no good & he was going to pursue him.

There was very little in Z's story that was plausible (1 example - that he was not following Martin, just going to check a street name when there were only 3 in the area), but the difference between us is whereas I looked at at all logically & from a common sense standpoint, you seemed to start early on from a point of whatever Z said was gospel truth & worked around it from there. Whether any of it was corroborated or not. Like I said, Z got away with manslaughter but you just can't seem to accept it.

I understand stand your ground . but I believe it was the prosecutors over reach to murder 1 that allowed Zimmerman to walk. Clearly they had him on voluntary man slaughter. He wasn't standing his ground he was pursuing to engage Me. Martin.  Stand your ground relies that you are being pushed . that being as it is trayvon could of used the same defense if he had been in possession of a pistol. But Zimmerman's continued criminal behavior and subsequent divorce. Excludes him to even have a fire arm due to domestic violence charges.....
That being stated he should not have losses a fire arm without a pardo from the governor. Nor be able to sell a firearm.

Still find it ironic he could actual even think of selling the weapon.

In Maine we have castle law and retreat to a position of safety. It states you have all rights to defend your home while inside your property otherwise you must retreat or attempt to retreat before deadly force can be used.

No debate or argument..what he's doing is legal, and tender by law (selling a pre-owned registered firearm)

The question is, who pays 5k for a pistol worth no more than $400 tops? based solely on the fact that it was involved in a controversial murder acquittal. I mean it's not as if the gun was used to assassinate JFK or Abe Lincoln. the guy is desperate, broke, and a clear cut imbecile, I wouldn't expect anything less from him; or the 'nut' that pays 5k for his pistol....to each his own

Other reports say  $120,000 ...

This is where most of you guys get stupid. Once GZ gets sucker punched everything that lead up to that point is useless, unless Zimmerman doesn't have the right to be where he was. I don't think there are any laws that dictate Z was there illegally.
