Baltimore at Cleveland (11/16/2009)

I have only bet on the Browns one time this yr...when they played and beat the Bills. I need only the Ravens to win by 2 to finish a large teaser. That being said, I always fear a desperate team. It's far from just a QB problem....you can't lay even half of it at their feet. Anderson took them one game away from the playoffs in 2007 and Brady was unlucky to start his career in Cleveland. I'm not going to write up what I believe are the answers as it would take 3 pgs and that's for the half I know of.

I only care that the real deal Bengals win this division!!

Yeah, if you had the Colts....congrats!  I had NE +8.5 teased with the over. Man was that game another instant classic or what?!!  I actually switched and pulled for Manning down the stretch knowing my teaser would cover even if it hit OT. Loved to do that to Belichick....what a dumbass call on 4th and 2!!!

Ravens offense can score and defense can shut down, and score.

Cleveland can not score and defense should give up 31-34 points

I like the Ravens ravens to win, 34-13 34-20 at best I loved Denver and Atlanta thought and got stuck. But Monday is a new day..

Love the over  still undecided on the winning team. My numbers say Baltimore -11, but my (significant) gut says Cleveland keeps it close. Baltimore has won only one road game all year (although their losses were against teams much better than Cleveland).  Cleveland took Cincy to OT at home before finally losing that one.  Cleveland coming off a bye week.  Quinn has had seven weeks to prepare for this one .Home team is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 meetings.

Sunday Night Football was a huge over.  Usually, that means MNF is going to be under.  You have a struggling Baltimore and a pathetic Cleveland.  Sure, Baltimore has their defense, but unless they start running back interceptions I could see this as being an under game.  Argh!!!!  I'm so undecided about this game.  GLTA

cleveland will copy Cinci's formula for beating the ravens, and run the ball.  Raven's missing Ngata again, who is a main factor in that D Line.  Raven's D will probably Bend all game, but not give up the big play, giving up a few fgs and a td if cle gets lucky.  While on the other hand, the formula for beating the browns, is to simply avoid running at rogers, who is the only run stopping talent the browns have.  27-13 Ravens Final, and there will be a wierd late FG because its monday night!

That is what I am taking if it matters to you. Too many big favorites not covering big spreads. My gut says Baltimore 31-13ish. Cleveland sucks but could back door 11 if Baltimore takes them lightly. Quinn will be motivated, but convicts are motivated to get laid, and look what they settle for!

Browns cover this game. Ravens have not played exceptionally well on the road and the Browns have nothing to lose. Ravens win, but Browns cover.

and if you look at the match-up history you'll find that Cleveland has never lost to the Ravens by 11 at home....

If this were in Balt big difference, and the spread would be more, but I would not take Cleveland...

then take a look at the MNF HOME DOG DOUBLE DIGIT TREND...

then consider how well Cleveland Plays historically on Monday Night Football....

Baltimore defense was also much better last year....

Cribbs will make this game interesting mark my words....

I was lucky enough to get my NE line at +2.5
Everything points to Baltimore.  There is no give me games in mid season.  All lines should make the game accurate.

I figure this would be -14 for baltimore but I think vegas doubt's their offense, which I do at times.  Ravens 4 loses game from great QB's.  Twice from carson palmer, 1 from brady and 1 from brett favre. 
But of their 4 wins, only 1 was really noteworthy and that was the Chargers and rivers had a great day and who can forget ray lewis ultimate stop that day in the final play.  What a great tackle.

Essentially, Balitmore can win this game easily if they stop the run and force cleveland to pass more.  From the 4 loses, palmer had a decent game managing day and benson had 100 yard plus in both games.  Brett favre got it done and adrain peterson got it done.  The patriots beat them and it was a balanced game that they lost to plus that game had so many penalties on ravens.

For the past 5 games, ravens averaged 8 penalties a game resulting in roughly 81.80 yards a game.  Thats a lot of field to give up.  Even in their blow out loss they handed to denver they had 8 penalties for 94 yards.  Is something shakey about this team? 

In the end, despite these numbers, it should come down to this.  Can Baltimore stop the run?  Jamal Lewis is not having a great season and he did have 1-100 yard game but that was @buffalo... where they won 6-3, their only game.  Other than that, he has a hard time getting past 50-60 yards.  Lewis is averaging 3.5 yards a carry this season but all their opponents are no push over and half of them seems like they will go to the play offs.  There's really no point of talking about the QB issue.  They have a better chance just rushing all game.  If they think they can pass, I expect Ed Reed to get 2 picks and 1 should go the distance.  All Baltimore has to do is not let up big plays and I expect a blow out.  Cleveland should be held to 3-6 points OFFENSIVELY.
I say offensively because Special Teams is a crucial thing.  Cribbs can be a factor (for covering).  Expect this game to be slow paced and boring.  Lots of runs and short passes.  I hope to see Ray Rice to have a great game.

Once per season, Cleveland shocks the world.
Tonight they do it again.  Any given Monday . . .

What an awful game for Monday. This one driving us nuts. Cleveland is last in defense and offense in the league. Their franchise is in disarray. Six of their seven losses would cover the 10.5 or 11 they are getting tonite. Last year they had some monday nite luck against buff around this time. Your kind of stuck here. You either get crushed for taking a horrible team or they pull a Redskins/Rams/Tampa and beat up the better team. Vegas is begging you to take Balt and the under as it has dropped 2 points. Majority of people on balt but line is going down.  ??????

Baltimore sitting at 4-4 the need this win to be over .500 and stay in the playoff race. Cle season is over they have nothing to play for. Baltimore has the statistical and emotional edge/. Cle averaging less then 10 ppg going up a tough Balt defense. Have to go big on Baltimore.
