Public all over the Ravens

These 2 teams are a mirror image of themselves,and with that being

said,I can only go one way,and that is taking the Ravens plus the points.

This Raven team is a much balanced team on both offense & defense,then what they had been in the past,which was all defense.

Flacco has finally come into his own,and I am confident with that strong arm,and the rushing of Ray Rice,the Ravens have a balanced

attach on the offensive side of the ball.

I know the 49ers have a top rated defense,but the fact of the matter is,in the last 5 games,that top rated defense has given up a average

of almost 29 points per game,and that concerns me if you are siding

the 49ers.

I know Kaepernick has really been a spark for the 49ers,but to ask

what is basically a rookie QB with only 7 games of experience,to go

into the biggest game of his life,and te the 49ers to the promised land,I think is asking alot.

The smart play in my mind is the Ravens,who I actually expect to win

the game.

     Championships are won by defenses.  Clearly, the Ravens have proven, (especially on the road) that given the opportunity, they have the ability to turn the ball over, and give it back their offense.  That being said, both teams enter this SB as Big Play teams, on  the positive side of the ledger. As I said, clearly the Ravens are the better defense in this matchup. The offenses of both teams, are competant, but not spectacular. Again, I give Flacco, the slight edge. Flacco, the pocket passer, has the edge, primarily because he tends to throw 40 plus yd strikes down the field, and has the deep threats to haul them in. Inspite of his "homerun" tendancies, he still maintains a comparitively low INT ratio. SF's Kaepernick is exciting to watch, especially IF he can escape from the pocket. As teams like Seattle, and Atlanta, have shown, if he's contained in the pocket, he's a little less explosive. CK likes to dink and dunk down the field,mixing in run plays, to sustain long, time consuming drives. His effective throwing range is usually within 25 yds. And just like Flacco, he's when pressured, he can be sacked. If the Ravens have a weakness, it is obviously on special teams, as witness by 2 huge returns by Denver. As both Wilson,Rodgers, and Ryan have shown SF "D" can and has been burned by the long ball. If the 49 er's are to win, then it has to be by constant pressure on Flacco. Flacco has tendancies to fumble, when rattled in the pocket. They also need to have huge returns on special teams to set up possible SF drives by CK.  If San Fran D allows time for Flacco to go deep, it might prove to be a long afternoon indeed. Also the reliabilty & range of SF's David Akers is highly questionable, and will probably be the undoing of the Niners ,in a tight game. IF Flacco & Rice don't fumble, and the "burners" connect on Joe's bombs THEN it's all over for SF!

Did you know that Las Vegas opened @ SF -5?  Now it is down to SF -3 1.2.  It is their plan so they can have money on both ways, also they know that San Francisco will win the game.

The first Harbaugh vs Harbaugh was on Thanksgiving Day 11/24/11.  Baltimore won 16 to 6.

I'll wait until the line goes down to -3 or -2.5
