being a huge giants fan i thik this may be a tuff game and it def hasalot at stake for the future of the gmen... im thinking if jcobs doesnt play id have to go with carolina +3 if he does play id take the over at 39 its a very tuff pick... what you guys think

i can see the giants losing their 3rd straight here. i'm going to keep riding the panthers - great all around team. jacobs should be back for the giants.

The last couple games were meaningless to the Giants. This is the game they have circled on their calenders. They know what's at stake and they don't want to travel to Carolina's place where the Panthers are 8-0 mid jan. Giants by 10.

Not a Giants fan by any means, but they are 2 games UP on the cowgirls!! Carolina rolls here, Giants back to their usual 2nd half collapse!! And for what it's worth, Baltimore routs the Cowgirls!! Romo won't make it through this game

CAR bettors should be happy to be receiving a full FG here, the only reason they are is because the books know the NY teams have such a huge fan base that a lot of square $$ gets put on them, against any other team of the Giants caliber this spread would be CAR +2.5 to +1.5. Also, some books have it NYG -3 (-120). They love to take in the extra vig on public favorites without having to give away more than a FG.
People think that missing Burress doesn't matter, but it does. They have won without him, but they don't have any other WRs to cause matchup problems, and the Carolina D is very good. The running game will not be as good as usual with Jacobs hurting if he even plays.
Then the real reason to bet on the Panthers.... did you see the Giants line get abused by Dallas?? 7 sacks!!! And CAR has Peppers who has rebounded this year, so so expect a few more sacks.

I'm not laying the 3.... I think the Giants win outright... I'm taking the Moneyline...
Giants at home..... in the meadowlands... with swirling winds.... that means Delhomme can't chuck the ball to Steve Smith like he does at home in warm Carolina.... Giants D-line is very good and will not give Delhomme time to complete long passes.... they are going to have to dink and dunk to win... so I expect to see some wideout screens similiar to last week....
I think they can contain Williams and Stewart.... if not for that one big run last week, Williams was held to under 50 yards....
JACOBS being back is HUGE for the GMEN..... he is the heart and soul of their run game and has been since the tiki departure.... bradshaw and ward are not starters.... they are wind and fire and play well when complimenting Jacobs.... he is going to be ready to play and will set the tone of the game early..... he is much more of an X-Factor than Burress....
Carolina is decent on the road at best... 3-3.... they got slaughtered by TB.... almost lost to oakland.... lost to ATL (good team).... lost in MINN (good team).... got lucky in San Diego... (i don't care what anyone says that was dumb luck that ball wasn't tipped).... and had to use Steve Smith heroics in GB.... I'm just not impressed with Carolina on the road...... if this were in Carolina, I would be singing a different tune....

Dallas sacked Eli that many times because they had that backup- BOOTHE in... and Ware destroyed him........ that won't be happening again.... I'm sure they will be curing that this week.... oh and this isn't in Dallas.... its in the meadowlands......

Thats if they are totally evenly matched and have similar fan bases... only the NY teams and Cowboys are exceptions to the rule for NFL games... they wanna get 50% of the money on each side and if the spread was less than 3 people would really be pounding the Giants... 3 means there could be a push

They score 20 ppg on the road, 30 ppg at home. The Giants haven't played well the last couple weeks because they are guilty of looking ahead TO THIS GAME. I'm an Eagles fan but I think the Giants roll big here.
