Garcia has to be better then Greise...TB Defense to help Garcia and the Offense. Look for Bryant to have a Big Day against Carolina 2ndary...

Damn, was going to take Carolina, but everybody's on them here, so has to be a no play now, that sucks......Reckamy has them at a 4-unit play, he claims he is 7-0.....kiss of death. No play.

To me it seems quite simple.  TB took a tough loss against a tough team on the road.  Carolina won in an exhibition game at home against a team who couldn't beat Grambling if it tried.  Why Edwards STILL has a job is beyond me.  I ask this EVERY week but it's true.

The stars line up for a TB win at home with Garcia at the head of the pirate ship.

I was thinking the same thing man. Carolina does well in Tampa and I think they right their ship today ( no pun intended for that ship in the endzone) and prove to everybody that they are stll a contender in this division. I'll lose my money on the Panthers.

I don't know why everyone thinks Tampa's such an average team and the Panthers are some juggernaut? Are you all watching the same games I am?

Panthers had a quality win against San Diego (just pulling it out as time expired), then beat an average Bears team by a field goal at home. They lost to Minnesota and then beat up on Atlanta (whose a much better home that road team) at home and then KC who was coming off their big win of the season and had a huge let down like we all knew they would. Nothing stands out to me here as all that impressive.

Then you have Tampa who also beat up on Atlanta, also beat Chicago by a field goal (on the road mind you) and handled Green Bay with no problems. They lost to a good Denver team by a field goal on the road last week and lost 24-20 in week 1 to an under rated saints team, also on the road.

Tampa's a better team. At the very least these teams are evenly matched. That said, give me Tampa at home in a pick 'em all day.

One team is on a roll.  The other isn't.
One team has their weapons.  The other is going backup QB.
One team is 6-0 on the road in this series.  The other, 0-6 at home.

carolina is my strongest play of the day.  it's no trap.  TB is a good team, that's why the spread is as low as it is.  i think garcia being back under center will help the bucs, but the panthers are playing some great football right now.  they've got the running game going with a 2 headed monster, the passing game working as s. smith looks like the s. smith of old, and the defense is all over the field.  the panthers have a good track record against the bucs and it will continue today.

Tampa Bay -1  (-115)

Really kills me to do this simply because of the history of the Bucs at home vs. Carolina (0-5 last 5 games)...but with the status of the Panthers' offensive line and the aggressive Bucs defense, I think they turn that around here today.  Another possibly underlooked fact is that Tampa has traveled quite a bit in the last 4 weeks.  Tampa to Chicago to Tampa to Denver to Tampa.  Either way, Matt Bryant wins another game with a field goal late.

Prediction:   Bucs  20   Panthers  17

19 people in here on Carolina...6 on Tampa.

i would think more people would be on carolina simply because garcia is just coming back and i think it would take more time to get him up to game speed.
