No Culpepper for Detriot is huge. Dan Orlovsky is just coming off an injury. I'm not really sure how prepared he's gonna be for this Colts team who are supposed to get Bob Sanders back. That defense is completely different when he's playing. The Colts offense finally did something last week too. They might be clicking at the right time just like the Giants and Steelers did when they went onto win the Super Bowl as 6th seeds. I'll probably stay away from this game all together but I'm leaning toward Indy -17.

I have been a life long lions fan. The Lions are 13-0 if you count Sunday's ruined. The best bet here is the over and or tease it down.  Lions are good for 10-14 points here. It'll be something like 35-14. Trust me I know my Lions.

That colts game should have been 7-3 at the half last week. one last minute INT changes the entire second half.

 I am from Detroit and this is the WORST team ever. They will be luckty to score 10 pts this week. Orlovsky is NOT healthy but he is starting because they are shopping him around for next year!! This team quit LW when Minny handed them the game and they handed it right back. Players were fighting with fans as they left the field!! Also, this week(indy) and next week(N.O) are the 2 best Q.B.'s the Lions will face!! Every game this YTD the Lions opposing QB has set a new Q.B. personal passer rating!!(Ryan,Garcia,Jackson,Rogers....) Lay the points or don't bet!! Merry X-Mas!! Also, the Colts have given up 9 points in 2 weeks(Just like when they won the SB) Defense is getting healthy!!

Detroit needs a win this season, and they've been really good at trying.  I think the Lions can put up some points on the Colts, unlike the Bengals last week.  The plan is simple for Detroit, just throw it up to Megatron and I have a feeling that plan might work this week.  And I think Manning continues to fine tune his offense.

The Colts offense has been really sloppy lately, leaving points on the field with stupid turnovers and bad red-zone playcalling. I think they get that stuff corrected this week and put up at least 35, as they can only beat themselves. The Lions are really screwed with Dan starting instead of Daunte. I think Pep could scramble around make something out of a few drives, but now Dan will be sitting there like a statue, getting killed by Freeney and crew. Those turnovers/sacks lead to quick scores for Indy.

Also Sanders was back last week, and will be better this week. He will be over the top on Megatron's side, so don't look for bombs to him to bail the Lions out.

houston +3 for real...has anyone watched football this year, i like ur picks normally w8lifter but there is no way that tenn doesnt win this game, and for that matter i will always take a game -3....the giants r a lock...oooooops i said it by the way!!!!!!!!

This line is crazy, but you'd have to be crazy to bet against a FOCUSED Peyton manning vs the most garbage team in the nfl.  This poor franchise has to be cursed. DET needs an owner that wants to win, and head coaches that draft something other than WR's!!!! I noticed DET has only gotten up to play against teams in their division.  They absolutely get rapped by everyone else. I would consider taking DET + the points if they were at home and Culpepper was playing, but they idiot that ran out of bounds is starting, and he's banged up to boot. This is not good for Detwat. Another point: Jeff Saturday and Bob "Ill blow your world up" Sanders are back for the Colts.  This means the colts will be able to actually run against a crappy run defense. Bob Sanders will contain Det's only chance of winning, Kevin Smith and Megatron (two players I like a lot). I'm laying the wood and not going to feel bad if they don't cover, DET is simply that bad.



I'd like to hear a case for DET as this huge line DOES scare me!!

No longer riding the DET. However, all but the two games against MINN, DET has gon over when dogged by double digits... DET is 0-2 ats, 2-0 over against the AFC and  IND already tore this secondary up last year. Peyton has been on fire at home since the JAC loss, 10 tds 0 ints, and they've posted 30+ twice at home this season.

The only thing that scares me away from laying all of those points is the fact that Indy is going to be up by 14 points in the first quarter, and at least 21 at the half.

I'd be worried about them pulling their starters and giving up the back door cover.

But I still expect the Colts to completely roll in this game, and especially in the first half.  They're way too experienced and way too hot right now.  They know they've got to keep it going.

I'm off the game, but, you know, with a gun to the head I'd take Indy minus the 17 . . .

Sorry Golfer - {2 touchdowns where the extra point is attempted and successfully made, not the 2 point conversion. Or if the game goes into overtime and the winning team scores the 6 point touchdown and they don't attempt the P.A.T. or the 2 point conversion because the game officially ends with the first successful score}


There, is that better for you? When 99.8% of the population refers to a "touchdown", we always assume it's 7 points. Nobody likes a wise-ass.....


And I'm the one who has been taking the Bengals & Lions over 2 touchdowns, not that other guy you quoted - JPD. He was just supplying more info on all the other games where the spread was over 2 touchdowns..... C'mon, get your SH** STRAIGHT!!!!!!!

I bet with the Bengals and Cheifs (vs. SD, not at NE lol)  and won both times..... but the Cheifs were underrated and had a new qb and the Bengals are without their starting qb, but still put up some offense despite their late TD troubles.....
 
The lions are just terrible.... they can't stop anybody and as long as INDY watches Calvin Johnson, who is catching the football? their only hope is to run every down....
 
the CHEIFS, BENGALS, and RAIDERS are all better teams than the Detroit Lions....

Lost every bet on the Lions but this is the NFL 17 only worked for the PAPS not the Colts of 08-09...  Take the points!! Kevin Smith is a baller he will have a good game....  CJ is CJ a top 10 receiver..  Addai is out...

This game is a little scary considering Lions have covered the spread in last 4 road games, and colts have not blown out many teams. No call on this game yet, but will maybe take colts for 1 unit
