""Insiders voicing concern about status of Pats' Offensive Line (allowed four sacks at Miami last week) vs. quality teams...after Brady & Co. have run up some big point totals vs. a series of foes with weak defense and/or turnover problems.
Houston, with penetrating, pass-swatting DE J.J. Watt, with 15 sacks, and with only 12 giveaways all season, fits neither catagory."" (Gold Sheet Quote)
Only recent comparison I could find is when New England lost to Baltimore 30-31. But Houston able to blow-out Baltimore 43-13!
New England 1-4 vs. spread their last 5 games in December!
Houston 6-0 vs. point spread last 6 road games against a team with a winning home record!
Texans now 6-0 vs. point spread as underdogs!
Houston plus 3.5 to 5.5 over New England!

Houston 34 at New England 27

After what GB, Jax, and Det did to Houston, what do you think Tom and Co. are going to do? Schaub's garbage, and the potential poor conditions favors NE. Only way Hou covers and/or wins is if Watt and the Houston d line get all over Brady. I don't think that will happen.

If the Texans don't get to TB then it's lights out.....I think with the wet surface the run game will not be so good tonight....over...should be some big plays

Just like the Pack at home last night and the Giants yesterday afternoon.......NE will win this game and cover. Yes, Houston is 11-1.....should be 10-2....got out of Detroit with a gift on the 80 TD run that wasn't that reshaped that game!!! Houston is hungery and has a better D for sure.....but NE is a team that has been in this spotlight so many times before and their second half season record since 2010 speaks for it's self.....I expect Tom Brady to light it up tonight and the NE defensive line to play above their heads for this game and keep Foster from taking over the game and keep enough pressure on Shaub that he makes a few mistakes that prove costly. 38-24 is what I am feeling on this game. GL to all!!!

I currently have in Pats at -2.5. Bought 1.5 yesterday when the line was 4. Now I see the Texans at +6 and have thoughts of taking a 5 point middle with the Texans at +7.5. Any thoughts on this??

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but only 3 teams in NFL history have gone undefeated on the road in a single season. The obvious 2 are the 72 Dolphins and the 07 Patriots. The 3rd team was the 1984 49ers. Even the 85 Bears lost a road game at some point. I guess the Texans could be the 4th team to do so if they win tonight and win at Indy in week 17, but how could you be crazy about their chances of accomplishing that feat, when some of the greatest teams of all time were unable to do so.
The Patriots also haven't lost a December home game since 2002, and haven't lost a home game this season since week 2. Why is this even a discussion? Plus, as the Dr Dog reminded us, this is the 3rd straight road game for the Texans. I know their last game was cake walk against the Titans, but I don't see why I should bet against all that NFL history on this one. Unless the Texans are truly one of those great teams that only come around once in a generation. Although, with their 19th ranked pass defense, I just can't feel comfortable comparing this team to one of those legendary teams.
Plus Belicheck had defensive linemen using racquetball racquets to emulate JJ Swat in practice. What more do you need to know? LOL.
I don't know why the line has moved so much, but I'm glad I scooped it up at -3. Cant feel too good for all the Texans backers that were chomping at the bit at +3.5 & +4.
I know Andre Johnson thinks its the most important game in franchise history, but shouldn't that have really been the playoff game they lost to Baltimore last year?

this will be a flat out under game, thats if the texans dont get out to a fast quick strike. look for the texans to establish a running game and the pats to pass first run second, it depends on the coin toss and who recieves the ball first. If the texans get it first then look for them to milk the clock and if the pats get it look for them to air it out but the weather plays a big role here. I was leaning towards the pats to cover the 3.5 but now since it has gone up to 6 i am leaning towards the texans, not sure yet
