Browns are projected by a few power ranking specialists as the worst team in the NFL..Even worse than the Lions
With that being said........Purple people eaters, Brett Favre, AP.
VIKES are 4-0 ATS before playing Lions.

Yes, I know Mangini's Jets beat the Vikes in Minnesota 26 - 13 back in 06......but does he have the firepower in Cleveland to repeat that performance.

AP could be hurt and Minnesota still covers that!

Starting the season at 0-0 is the only time this year that the Cleveland Steamers will be at or above .500!!!! Vikings, HUUUUUUUGE!!!!!!!

I dont see how that total is only 40. Love that over. Cleveland won't be as bad offensively as they were last year

Hi to all, my first post on covers!!

I bet on Minnesota -3 @-120 (now -4 I think is ok, too): Favre in the center connects to speedy Berrian in deep Cleveland red zone...Peterson for 100yds...Too Pressure on Quinn, so the Vikes edge the Browns in turnover battle...

Minnesota edges Cleveland 24-16

Giants went to Cleveland and loss last year, why can't the Vikings? Homedogs +4, worth a look.

Cleveland could be the worst team in the NFL. And the line opens at Browns only getting 3? This line is screaming stay away. If anything, I'm leaning to a small play on the Browns. Nobody wants to be the guy who goes big on the Vikings and then remembers they're coached by Brad Childress.

Looks like ill be taking the Vikings too gonna wait a while though. If Cleveland covers/wins the books will make a KILLING, everyone and their brother is on the Vikes.

Ah yes, I remember when I was 8 yrs old watching Chicago sportscaster Johnny Morris tell everyone that Minnesota was a "lead pipe cinch" to win Superbowl IV. Not knowing too much about betting, I thought wow, how can I lose. So I bet my friend $5. From that day on, I learned my lesson that nothing is a sure thing no matter how good it looks on paper. As a matter of fact, I now bet the dog when I see a "too good to be true" point spread like this one.

It's the start of the season. Keep track of games like this and at the quarter-way or halfway point, see how teams have done in this scenario. Goes for the U/O's as well. GLA.

I probably wont bet this one but I always like it when the home team gets 4 pts.  Minn will probably win by a FG to burn everyone.  Beware of the Over Under on this one, could end up being a lower total than you think.  Favre hasnt had nearly enough time with regular speed to be hitting on all cylinders.
 
I am thinking Minn 16-13. Lotta yards, but cant quite get in the end zone..

Favorite game of the weekend. VIKES cover this number easy. The Browns are pretty close to being the worst team in football. AP should dominate this Browns defense that let up over 150 ypg last year. That should set up Favre to throw some play action to his speedsters Berrian and Harvin. On the other side of the ball, how can you not like the Williams's and Jared Allen going up against rookie Alex Mack and the rest of the Browns O-Line? Joe Thomas and Steinbach are solid but there aren't in the same class as those guys. Good luck trying to run on the best rush defense in the league Clownies. And Pat and Kevin are going to want to get their licks in now because they'll probably be suspended in a couple of weeks.
 
Plus, it's not a good thing when a coach is afraid to name a starting quarterback. It means that no one played good enough to win the job. I don't think Brad Childress is going to have late night panic attacks worrying about Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson.

If the Vikings had ANY recievers (Berrian may not play) ...I would be all over them....but Browns will stack up against the run, forcing Favre to throw / make plays to complete strangers  
Browns offense will also be inept against a tough D...
If anything, look at the UNDER maybe....
NOT TOUCHING THIS GAME THOUGH...
