The only thing scaring me is that Giants in Cleaveland game last year.  Vikes are way better team at every position outside of WR.  I think the Minny Defense covers the spread against the QB of the week in Cleaveland.  Looks too easy but hey, we've all overthought in the past.  I'm not going to overthink this one but I will tread lightly kinda like the Dallas game.  One star for this one.

Am I the only one who thinks Manidiot not naming a starting qb was his way of playing with the media?   I find it really hard to believe that he didn't know who the starting qb was going to be.

     Man-Gina doing that is like when movies don't get pre-released to the critics so they can give their opinion on it. That means the movie (or in this case, the Cleveland Steamers) is going to be horrible.............
     Once teams realize that Man-Gina is not "The Hoodie Jr." - they'll finally get rid of this idiot, and he'll be back to coaching pop warner. At least the Jets finally wised up.....

I'm just really confused by this one.  If we didn't see the spread and were asked to pick the spread, I'd bet that most cappers would say this game would be about 7 points in favor of Minn.
 
So i keep thinking its a trap game, but what is it that Vegas knows that we don't know??  Cleveland is a terrible team and the Vikings are somehow still underrated.  So confused, I might end up just laying off as badly as I want to go huge on the vikings the spread is just too fishy.
 
(Side Note: Its interesting that if the spread was 6 or 6.5 i would probably make a HUGE play on the Vikings but being so low its scaring me and will end up going small or not at all)

Can Brady Quinn change this Browns team?
 
EVERYTIME the crowd goes with a heavy favorite, Vegas wins.
 
I have a weird feeling about this game, so I'll stay away.
 
If anything, I'd take the under, as i expect Favre to throw a pick, and Quinn to struggle a bit against the Vikes.

With everyone worried about Peterson Favre will have twice as many TDs to picks for the year. Before he always had to force it hence most of his picks. Anytime Vikes need 1,2,or 3 more yards Peterson will be able to get most of them. The 3rd and longs Favre will face for the year will be few.

Thinking BROWNS--Vikes are 1-11 ats failing to cover an avg. spread of 4.7 by a touchdown since 2001 when they won as a Home Fav in there last match up vs their opponenet then when they play them the next time they are a Road Fav.
 
Thinkin too much hype for brett...think they win but by a field goal
Brady Quinn should come out playin hard

Browns should win this game. Don't put too much value on Favre, he will struggle to start the season.

Cleveland could be the worst team in the NFL. And the line opens at Browns only getting 3? This line is screaming stay away. If anything, I'm leaning to a small play on the Browns. Nobody wants to be the guy who goes big on the Vikings and then remembers they're coached by Brad Childress. 
 
 
 
 
 
like Florida Evans....Damn damn damn....you and your FACTS.    Childress is a MORON.  his coaching (or lack thereof) is suspect at best.  but it's week 1, and Adrian Peterson is healthy......I'm thinking.....Minn should be able to cover -4...shouldn't they?  this game may put one on pins and needles.
   
 
 
I'm sorry, I can't put my faith in Cleveland. I actually CLev the team, but Minn's MONSTER D, Adrian running wild, Percy Harvin looking to impress, and Favre...(not Tavaris "non action"  Jackson) slinging it.  uh, make mines a Minn bet plz and thank you

Minnesota Vikings @ Cleveland Browns

Minnesota had a great problem in their air game, but with QB Favre we will not see that much trouble, in fact, this team besides being an excelent team on the rushing game, they became much more dangerous in the passing game for the obvious reasons. On the rushing game, the Vikings have the best rusher on NFL. Adrian Peterson is very fast, quick and strong, gaining a lot of yardage for his team and too hard to stop thanks to his bulky frame.
 
What I really like on this team is their defense, very strong stopping both rushing game and passing game, since they are very agressive and Browns' QB Quinn will suffer a lot on this game and will give away some nice interceptions. This pointspread os too low in my oppinion, since I believe that the Vikings are quite superior to these Browns and we will see Minnesota scoring a lot more points than their opponents.

Going to take first half  -2.5 minn.  Young quinn should get the start and he will be slow.  I think the browns will punt the first few times trying to use the run game.  I believe vikings are a superior team.

Favre should be ok.  First game of season and healthy.  Adrian peterson should be healthy as well.  Vikes look good... too good to be true I suppose.  I take them first half since the line is fishy.

Everyone loves the Vikes!!  Why is the line so fishy??  Don't forget that Mangini knows Favre.  Browns D shuts him down.  Peterson wins it for the vikes, but...

I have been following this team for 40 years with lots of disappointments. Let me tell you this team is loaded with talent. Even though Childress is a bozo they will make a statement today. They will win by 10 points or more. This defense is among the elite. Expect them to get at least two turnovers. Whoever said they don't have any receivers should get their head examined. Anyway, this is EASY money today friends. Good luck and have fun!!
