In the last 2 games these two teams faced off in, the EXACT score was 27-24. Both games taken by the Saints.
I remember how much it stung for Philly losing in that divisional round. The odd thing is, Jeff Garcia was taking commands of the offense of THAT last game, and he's back. Coincidence? hmm....
Lito Sheppard was out in that game, but now we have a better Asante Samuel, and Sheldon Brown is playing stellar.
I'll go with the Eagles here, as they have way more offensive weapons now, even IF Kolb is their starter. The Eagles defense is a lot better than the Lions. and if the Lions put up 27 points, I'm sure the Eagles could put up at least 24.
Eagles(-1) reverse this one, 24-21. Make Jim Johnson proud. Go Eagles, and BOTL to everyone.

Kolb starts - Eagles lose - - but, having said that, I think the play here is the over....

think I'll just lay off this game side wise, wait for Vick next week...the under may be worth a shot here last 4 meetings have gone over 50 points total, now PHIL with no QB, Brees lit it up last week, may come in a bit over confident, Philly may not have a good QB but they still have a good D...

Careful with that over call fellas......Philly D looks pretty solid. That was the Lions on the road last week........the worst D in the NFL last year. Philly probably won't click with the offense this week. Drew will be effective, but not dominate like last week. I smell an under here........and I also like Philly because of the physical style of play. They will get to Brees....and N.O. is a little to finess to play with this kind of team........just one mans opinion.
And yes I'm a huge Philly fan.........but I won't play this game with a backup QB, an opponent that lit up a worthless defense last week at home and the other defense who embarressed a playoff team from last year on the road last week. Way too much going on here to put money down fellas!!

Eagles secondary is not the best, and if they are starting Kolb who is awful, or Garcia who just now got to Philly, I would lean on Saints money line. If McNabb plays it will be suicide, do not count on that happening, nobody plays QB with broken rib(s).

Remember NFL is a QB league, if it wasn't the Bills would have won, and the Raiders would have won... but the better QB was able to overcome and take the victory.. do you want to put your money on Kolb against Brees?

public is all over the saints here, yet no line movement. It's rare
that the public doesn't bet with the eagles. Now with Run DMC not
calling the plays for the eagles, everyone is just selling on them.
The problem here is that the saints defense is not even in the same
league as the eagles, who have a shut down, superbowl caliber defense
to work with. I know the saints have a killer offense, but if they let
up 27 to a rookie QB for the lions at home, what makes them so popular
here. Kolb has had 3 years to learn this offense, and yeah i know he
looked terrible against the ravens last year, but you have to be
kidding me if you think the saints can apply that much pressure on him
with the pass rush, or can cover the pass half as well as the ravens.
Either way, there's a huge difference when Andy Reid is given a week's
notice to plan his offense around a QB not named Donovan.
Think back
to the patriots undefeated run, when the Eagles limped into Foxboro at 5-5 as 24 point underdogs, with AJ Feeley running the offense. He started the game out spotting the Pats with a quick pick 6 on the first play from scrimmage. Over the next 59 minutes, the Eagles proceeded to outscore the pats 28-24, nearly pulling quite possibly the biggest upset in history of sports handicapping.
Now with Feeley out of the fold, i have to think that Kolb's ceiling is at the very least comparable to Feeley's, and he has a offensive weapons on par with those of the saints, only an obvious edge at QB, which is still not enough to make up for the home field advantage and the vast difference at most positions on defense. Not to mention the revenge that the Eagles owe the saints for those two aforementioned losses.

Saints were 2-8 SU last year on the road... those two road wins?
Detroit and Kansas City, so the only time they won on the road was
against teams with a combined record of 2-30
