Key factor: Let's note that Dallas is a rivalry game and the rest of the hapless NFC East is not. . . Hence, with Washington already beat on their home field so will easily go the Giants and Eagles in that order.
come on w8... if you're gonna come in hear posting some homer hype that's ok, but at least give a reason why your so sprung on them that does not involve homerism (including thinking that your conference is better than the NFC's finest).
here's the biggest problem i see for your boys. These are two of the best offenses in the league balanced as well. One passes for 235.5 yds per game, the other at 243.5 yds per game. In response to this arial assault, the giants defense allows 139.8 yds per game to the texans 337 yds per game.
sure the giants allow 40 more yds per game on the ground and accrue 40 yds per game less, but the giants haven't gotten to run on the raiders so those rushing yds are a little inflated, even if you believe that the texans are going to average 170 per game on the ground this year (not likely)
washington is not new york. Their offense is about 5 ranks higher on the ground and the air and while the giants aforementioned air defense is second in the league, the only team worse than washington at defending the pass is the texans. Plus the skins kicker bombed that game and the skins dominated it until their pass D was exposed, a problem the giants are much more equipped to handle.
There's more but i'll leave you with that. Win or lose, my money here is sharp money. The books are inviting houston money, but if they were really going to cover they'd be favored by 4

Cushing in first game back for Texans. That and coming back home where they lost the last time out. I'd say both provide a big lift for the Texans. The Texans will score a good amount of points as their offense is stout. However, the Giants will do some damage through the air against the weak Texans secondary. Hard game to side with either way, yet the OVER is looking better and better.

let's see.......the giants have a bunch of guys on their team that have won playoff games including a superbowl.....and the texans are STILL that team you've heard about getting better and better for the last 5 years yet im pretty sure they only have 1 guy on their team that's been to the playoffs - DE Antonio Smith, and that was with the Cards a few years back.
so the logical choice would be to go with the better team ( G-Men ) as an underdog. im sorry but these Texans may have improved, but that game against Dallas was a true reality check and once again - Texans WILL NOT see the playoffs.

I am thinking about taking the Texans today. The only thing that scares me is the porous secondary. I know that Andre Johnson will not be a 100% but the rest of the receiving corp can make up for that. I dont get to watch near as many pro games as college games and my record shows. Hope Texans cover.

Leaning on a loss to instate rival Cowboys and ignoring wins against Ind. and Wash. isn't going to do your bankroll any favors. I'm in houston and trust me no-one hates the hype we've been hearing down here for the last several years about this new and improved team when we all have known better. Texans are playing well, and finally got the monkey off their back with Indy. The same Indy that beat the Giants by 24 points a couple of weeks ago.
Houston (even when we were the Oilers) have always had some split personality thing going on with who is going to show up. I'm going to give up the point and a half for the first half of the game with to see who shows up. I'll wait till the 2nd half to go yard.

Thinking the Texans are not getting enough respect yet, both sharp and public money (79 percent) is on Houston. 63 percent of the action on the total is on the Under.
TX wins G-men cover, in my humble opinion ......... BOLTA

Cushing is back....he is going to solidify the running attack...Johnson is playing....still the best receiver in the league 100% or not. Williams is also playing.....G men are going down.
