I'm a Pats fan, and will not bet them this week. Jets +3.5 is the play. Pats just lost LB Adalius Thomas with a broken arm, and Jets just signed Ty Law as a free agent. He can slip right in as he has played with the Jets before, and with Mangini when they were with the Pats. Also these teams usually split wins every year, except for those years when Pats really dominate. This is not one of those years. Home field does not seem to matter much with these two teams, though it could mean a little more on a short week. Plus you have to think Brett Favre will be a lot more in sync with this team in game 10 than in game 1.
The Jets are nowhere near as good as the scoreboard showed last Sunday -- the huge margin was because of multiple turnovers. But they are solid. I'll enjoy the game without betting on it... but if I had to make a pick I would fade the Pats here.

The Jets are starting to gel; running game from multiple players (Jones and Washington), Favre seemingly playing more under control the last couple of games (only 1 INT in that period), and a defense that is playing virtually flawless football in controlling the line of scrimmage. This is where football games are won and lost - not by the flashy names like Favre, Moss, etc.. With so many defensive issues by the Pats and the loss of Thomas, it seems they are quickly approaching the point where scheming can only compensate for inferior personnel for so long.
Taking the Jets +3.5 and will be making a substantial play on the moneyline (thinking somewhere between +155 and +180). I think Cassel struggles to get the playmakers involved and commits a couple of turnovers while the Pats ground game really never gets any traction. Jets 24 - Pats 10.

Like the Pats here. I'll take the better coach when it comes to playing on a short week. Jets are not solid on the road, see Oakland. The Rams absolutely rolled over last week. Anybody will look good when their opponent has 5 turnovers.

Im liking the OVER... imo there will be a limited ground game....and these 2 teams can score 20pts each easy...and each team will have turnovers that will convert into pts...

Seen that injury bro big difference with Adalius out as I did like the Pats, but with you not even liking your Pats in this one scares me
Good luck this week my friend

No shot on the ML +155-180 More like +140 GL
This game is virtually a toss up IMO. The JETS are flying high but they beat nobody. Ty Law is not a factor and wont be anymore...Reavis is (Can he handle Moss alone?) If so Jets close down Welker and short game and leave Cassel to beat them...
PATS got hurt bad with the loss of Thomas, but Bill B will find a taxi driver to get 3 sacks and a tackle if he has to....NEVER underestimate him as he is a magician. The D is old and slow, NO BRADY but they still win and are favored to win the AFC east.
Until the JETS go to Gillette and come out with a W...they are just playing for second....
How do the PATS cover... Let Cassel loosen up the field with Moss and Gafney early... Then nurse the lead with Welker and the RB du jour.
PATS 21-17

Very hard for division rivals to beat teams twice.... see SF ARIZONA... SF SEATTLE.... obviously not basing my bet on that but it is a FACT... every year....
Short week is JETS favor... reason being Belicheck is the best game planner.... now he has 3 days less to game plan.....
= more improvision....
and who is the most improvising QB of all time????
they we're probably preparing for this game during the 3rd quarter of the Rams game....
I like the JETS Moneyline.... but being I'm a JET fan I will stay away....
No way they beat us twice this year without Brady....
Jets are much harder to defend now and the defense is stepping up BIG....
Don't use the OAKLAND game as a testament to how the JETS play on the road.... Carolina just got taken over by the BLACK HOLE, and are lucky they won.....
I believe this will be a repeat of Jets Buffalo game.... sound running game, stopping the run... Farve only 1 INT....
LETS GO JETS

Bookie I agree with you on the points you mentioned above except where I highlighted in red...lol But, not only is this a rivalry game but this is a revenge game. When NE beat the JETS it was Favre's first home game...this guy is a future HOF'er but he'll even tell you there is a lot of pressure to win in that situation. If Tom Brady were QBing who would you pick then? Are the Jets coming into their own?
If you look at the first three weeks in the AFC East the games were strange...in my opinion of course...but
JETS beat MIAMI on the road in week one....JETS lose to NE in week 2 at home, then NE loses to MIAMI @ home in week 3...I know this doesn't help cap the game but I thought it was in interesting first 3 weeks. If it tells anything I think it tell you this division is going down to the end and the JETS can't afford to lose to NE twice in the same year.
Okay, back to the game..anyhow..the thing that scares me here is that Matt Cassel is playing great at QB...he has filled in and the PATS haven't lost a beat...the injuries haven't really hurt them up to this point. However, The JETS run DEF will be key in this game..PATS are already banged up at RB but they rely on establishing the run...The JETS can defend the run (allowing only 70 rypg) and and they have a better running game. In the NFL these are two key factors to winning teams year in and year out.
JETS +3

This one is easy to pick and.....I'm 41-13 on the NFL this year. I like the Jets on the ml. They are 2-0 vs the division this year and have been putting up alot of points lately. Mangini will come out on top. GL all!
FPRONK The Jets all ready lost to the PATS earlier this year. The PATS have swept the JETS MOST OF THE TIME in the lat 8 years

That is a monster # 41-13....AWESOME YEAR GL I have more faith in the PATS to find a way to win...I have seen the JETS shoot themselves in the foot for 40 years...why would it stop now...Just look at the Raider and Chiefs game.

First, I don't rat on anyone...II take care of myself and have no reason to report you....you my friend are a LOSER!...Now there might be others on here that dont like the fact that you waste space on the thread with yout adolescent crap but I do not care. Also, there are mods on here that check the boards and posts for aholes like you.
Secondly, I did not have any picks for the 4 pm games on Sunday not 5 pm..lol but believe what you want honey. I post my losers just like my losers last night just like I am posting the fact that you are a LOSER!
Thirdly, PLEASE LOOK AT MY PICS FOR THE AST MONTH...I HAVE NOT LOST. One thing about this site is you cant go back and delete your posts once they are made...thats why I proudly make my pics in threads so they can be tracked. I went against one pick one time and even posted it as a loss on covers but was attacked for never betting against the Browns. When I showed proof that I took Ravens and bet against the Browns. After I did this I was then told I change my picks before kick off. I wish that were that fact because I would have won last night.
One last thing moron...if you're going to attack someone for spelling and grammar errors on an online thread then make sure you know how to spell NIECE! because apparently I am not the only one who needs spelling lessons.DOH!!!
