In a game of conference and divisional rivals......with first place on the line......with identical records......take the field goal and the hook.  The book knows that New England doesn't lose at home in these cenarios very often.  That's why they threw the hook on the spread.  Look at the game last night between the other two teams that are divisional foes......playing for first place.  Another game decided by a 3 point spread??  HHMMMMMM........Jets have a better ATS record..........have played 3 of the last 4 games down to the last possession of the game, coming out on top of all three.  No question who has the better defense.......the Jets.  I really don't like either of these teams........so I'm no fan of either.  This is just one man's opinion.  Take the Jets and the 3 1/2 in a huge game.  New England barely held off Indy on that field three weeks ago......Indy is not a good team.......The Jets, if they lose, won't lose by more than 3.  This will be a tough, physical game that won't get over the total.....similar to last night's game.

Not a homer here just a stone cold factoid dropping fool. A few things that favor the pats. Jets defender Jim Leonhard out, hes a big element of their d. The pats have deep threats, Branch, Tate, see Minn game for explanantion but prefer the use of screens and hit the te's all day. It will hard to cover them with the jets lb's. OL will handle the jets blitz. The Pats have two of the main things that win you the most games in this league, Belichick and Brady. Would you trust Sanchez with your dollars in this game? Hes a pick or overthrown pass 3rd down conversion master. Pats convert higher on third down. Pats Def stats are teriible but i  think that mcourty comes up big and that will hep your over. BIg plays will decide this!  Pats and OV for the large!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Out of their last 6 games, the only convincing Jets win was Turkey Day against the crappy Bungles. Jets could've very easily been 6-5 or 5-6 right now. Rex Ryan's been talking trash all week - his wife is a "Supermodel" too like Gisele Bunchen? Modeling that NFL gear - gimme a break.
Meanwhile - Patriots have been soundly beating everybody they've played (except their 2 losses, and both of those were on the road)
So, let's run down the checklist - Pats at home? In December? At Night? On Monday? Belichick with the extra time off to prepare? Jets already beat them once this season? C'mon people

The Patriots were picked apart easily by Sanchez and the receiving core earlier this season, with Jets winning the first matchup 28-14.  But replicating that in New England will be a much more difficult task, a place where they haven’t lost in recent memory.  New England will most likely try to neutralize Revis and Cromartie spread the ball around to their abundance of tight ends and backs.  Brady and Sanchez should both have their way through the air, so look for this score to go over.

I agree with you on the fact that there are high scoring games in bad weather conditions.... but I don't think thats the case between these 2 teams...

I just checked the weather again and it's not going to be snowing anyway lol...

I do still see a tight low-scoring game...

I also think that NE will exploit the middle of the field using their tight ends as opposed to testing 2 of the best corners in the league.... in my opinion I don't see alot of deep routes against one of the best pass defenses with out Randy Moss on the field.... obviously welker will have his dick and dunks as well as screen opportunities...

another thing that scares us Jets fans.... and it's been all over the ny radio...

    Just to set the record straight, wether.com says cold tonight (upper 20's), but no snow.  I live about 5 miles from the stadium and can report any wether changes, but it is clear and cold right now.

    The Jets played a different Patriots team last time.  The face of the Patriots offense has changed...for the better.  Jets have stayed the same.  Patriots failed to convert in the redzone last game and were shut out in the second half, dont think it will happen again.  Homefield advantage is huge.  I dont think there will be snow but it will be cold, Brady vs Sanchez? come on.  Patriots have really started to roll right now...Green-Ellis emerging as a solid back with Woodhead stepping in for a change of pace, Tate can run deep, especially with the tight ends hernandez and gronkowski catching passes underneath, deion branch is solid as well...like I said the face of the Pats has changed since the first meeting between these two teams.  I THINK I WANT MY MONEY ON BRADY AND BELICHIK IN FOXBOROUGH ON A COLD MONDAY NIGHT IN A DIVISIONAL REVENGE GAME.

    Bottom line...

    The Pats are the team to beat. Especially at home and the Jets can beat the Pats. They did it already this season. The Jets have a better Defense and this should be one hell of a game to watch (we hope).
