The Patriots defense is a major concern for them as the playoffs approach. They are ranked dead last in the league in yards allowed per game (399.1). The good news is that they rank #1 in the league in points scored (30.4). The Jets are allowing just 17 per game on the season though. Over the past three seasons, the Jets are 14-5 ATS on the road vs. AFC opponents. Also, over the past three seasons, they are a perfect 7-0 ATS as a road underdog of less than a touchdown. But, the Jets are also just 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games following back-to-back home wins. And, the Pats are 26-15 ATS under Bill Belichick in December games. In the "Hoody" era, the Patriots are 7-0 OVER at home on Monday night. But, when facing teams that average 24+ points per game, the Pats are 30-18 UNDER in the Belichick era. What is going to happen tonight?

 1.-Belichick is undefeated against the spread in same-season divisional revenge games. Belichick is 5-0 ATS in these situations. Belichick has won by 31, 20 and 17 points the last three occasions he has avenged a divisional loss in the same year.

2.- Home teams that have won three consecutive games are 26-13 against the spread since 2002 as underdogs or favorites of 1-7 points. This applies to the Patriots, who are 2-0 ATS in this dynamic.

No - remember that crazy game against Buffalo a year or two ago in the deep snow when the Pats scored like 59 or something like that? Don't worry - the "Mass-Holes" will be out there 80 - 100,000 strong tonight. It's a Monday Night game people - don't over think it - Pats and over - C'mon all you Jets homers - just admit, you're going to lose this one, let it go, concentrate on the playoffs coming up.

Why is there so much love for the Pats here? They have the 31st overall rated D and they're going up against the 3rd overall rated D.

Give me the Jets +3.5 in what could EASILY be a FG-game.

I can't imagine a high scoring game where each team comes out td after td like Thursday night....

I think it's going to be a close to the vest gameplan from both sides where 3rd down efficiency will win....

I also think it will be a field goal game

How many did the Raiders light them up for? 200-and-some-odd? C'mon man - also, if we were going by your standards Tom Brady is the #1 rated QB in the NFL - even though he is 1 game behind everybody. So, do we go by those stats?

I live about an hour from the stadium,its cold but they were forcasting flurries all day and I havnt seen a thing. Weather wont be a factor unless some crazy blizzard rolls in,which aint gonna happen.

I don't know why everyone is on the pats....what make people think that the pats will score enough to win. That jets defense is good and the pats defense is not very good. The jets should win this game out right.. The book want you to play the Pats dont fall for it....JETS win tonght.....big play!!!!! Thier a better team on both sides of the ball....

The NY Jets have too much scoring power for NE to win by more then 3.5.  Also, NE's Defense is weak, actually pathetic !!!

I've seen the Pats win too many games by 3 (several super bowls) so I'm buying that hook $130 to win $100, Pats -3.
