Boludojones - First off I can care less about making friends and respect.  This is the only site I can get on at work to cap sonnn.

Second,  its hilarious you mention Minn beating my Giants.  It was the last game of the season and we started our C squad second half.  We already locked up 1st seed in NFC pal.

I just hate when philly fans run their mouth.  They are all by far the worst most disrespectable fans in any franchise in any sport.  So F*ck em and f*uck you while im at it.

Gotta like a low scoring affair here. Weather, injuries and playoffs + division rivals = low points. Philly is up and down no question but has enough offense and a stout defense to keep this one within a field goal. PHILLY + 4 UNDER 40.5....PAY ME!!!!

.....and just for the record - I'm a gamblin' man, not a philly fan - as a matter of fact, I personally don't give 2 craps about any sports team - until I need them to cover my bet. I really don't care if the Giants do win this weekend - just not by more than 3, that's all.....

One way you could lose is what happened this year at Philly the game totaled 34 points.  That would be a loser.  In face, since the year 2000 they have played 20 games and split 10-10.  Eleven of those games went under 40.5 and 9 went over.

Gentlemen please I don't want to hear any baseball talk for at least 2 months.  Now down to business..The fact of the matter is we bettors usually put too much stock into 1 or 2 wild card weekend winners and completely forget how these divisional round home teams earned their home field advantage.  Philly has been way too inconsistent this year and if it wasn't for a terrible but obvious performance from T. Jackson last week, clueless Andy Reid and the boys would be sitting home this weekend.

I hate when this site becomes fans vs fans, rather than people with the same goal: Making money.

These two teams play tough and close. I think this game comes down to a field goal. So I'm looking at the Eagles + the points. I wonder how much these injuries will affect some key Giants, and they certainly lose some with Plax gone. No lean on the total yet.

 Throw out the Cowbilly game, the Eagles have one offensive TD in 2 games. Vs. the Vikings they had 4 FGs, thats 4 times they couldn't score a TD. Against Washington no TDs. The Eagles have trouble scoring TDs! The Giants can run the ball on anybody, anybody and the Eagles will learn the hard way, and they won't like it. Giants win this by 10 points!!!
Good teams win games, Great teams cover the spread!

love the threads and thanks for all the insight the past few months of ncaa and nfl and a first time post. 

to touch on all then "banged up" players u  have mentioned, all the day to day guys and will play well. the giants are a tough well conditioned football team. day to day means tough and will be ready and capable play. although others mentioned have been out all season with madison the exception. bottom line is the team is tough and ready to movie and control the trenches on each side of the ball. 4 is deff a tough number to cover, but SU giants will win the game.  i see a slight lean on the under, 60% chance of rain/snow.

I'm not a fan of throwing out a game to sway a point one way or another, but the same could be said for the Giants, too. Toss out the Panthers game, and the Giants starters have scored one offensive TD in their last two games (Eagles, Cowboys). So the Giants haven't exactly been lighting up the boards.

I agree on the other part, though. Giants' success is in the run game. Whether the Eagles D can stop them efficiently enough will weigh heavily on the outcome. I just see this being a very tight game.

Thats right Hog. I am not the fan here and I am going the other way but what is the little bit of information needed to win.  I see it as weather (cold and nasty) favors running game which favors Giants especially and even if westbrook was %100 it still favors big man jacobs. Second  i think the home field noise hurts mcnabb changing plays. If home field gets 3 point advantage I do not think the eagles are within 1 point of the Giants. I cap it with the Giants up 10-7 at half time and a 23-14 giants final win. Under 40

what are the chances that, in a rivarly game, the road team wins twice....
 
so what are the chances that the Eagles beat the Giants in the Meadowlands for the second time this year....
 
for an interesting trend to question (i don't know the answer).... In inter-division rivarly games, how many times in the past x-amount of years has the road team won twice in one season.... (obvoiusly the second meeting is a playoff game)
add this to the fact that the Giants are the superbowl champions.... + they had an extra week of rest.. + there will be wintery conditions which favors a smashmouth run game which favors the Giants + the Eagles are a pass first team + Westbrook is hurting + they have a better regular season win against many common opponents... (Ravens, Bengals, Washington) the vikings game doesn't count in my opinion cuase Giants we're playing the JV squad, and the only exception where the Eagles beat a team the Giants lost to was the BROWNS... and that was just MNF at its best lol....

The Philadelphia Eagles have absolutely no business being in this game . . . and that's why I like them.

Their defense is giving them opportunities to win despite the offensive struggles, this is alot of the same dudes who went to 4 NFC championships, Donovan's been through so much shit he's finally weathered into a tough-skinned competitor under any situation, and home-field / weather conditions are not factors that favor the Giants because of the familiarity between these teams and the fact that the Eagles just rolled up there and won a game in which they dominated throughout.

While I don't expect the same kind of domination - at all - it does feel as though the fates are pointing towards Philadelphia, despite all the good reasons NOT to like them in this game.

I do agree that Brandon Jacobs is a huge factor and they're a much different team with him in the line-up, but you have to admit that Eli misses Plaxico - no question, and that the Giants have just not looked very good down the stretch and it's not going to be easy to just turn the ship around, especially with the "extra rest" they've had.

At the end of the day, I really believe these teams are very evenly matched and trying to "predict" what's gonna' happen is extremely difficult.

So for me, what it comes down to is recognizing that the league is different now.  It's more about momentum and about who wants it more.

I think the Eagles want this game more.  I really do.  All the expectations are off of Donovan and Andy Reid.  They've got nothing to lose and all the momentum.

So I'm taking the Eagles +4 in today's crazy NFL.

It's also why I like San Diego this weekend and as crazy as this sounds, a money line parlay on the Birds and Bolts pays almost
8 to 1.

That's definitely worth at least a small play.
