Hard one to choose....
While Pitt is 5-2 SU coming off a bye week the Broncos are 6-1 ats against teams coming off a bye week
The bye week helped heal Polamalu a little better which should help Pitt's defense playing on the road but the numbers show that the Steelers have not been covering at all on the road this season being 0-3 ats playing away from home. While the Broncos on the other hand are a perfect 3-0 SU and a perfect 3-0 ats at home.
I feel that the offensive play calling of Denver has helped Orton be successful as the Bronco QB. Also having much better Wr's than he did in Chicago helped Orton out a lot this season.
The Steelers are coming off a big win against the Vikings but not sure if the bye week helped the Steelers keep that intensity or I'm thinking maybe they start off flat here on the road but it does help that the Steelers running game is slowly coming back around averaging a little over a 120 yds per game.
The over on MNF has missed just once on the first game of the season I think in the Dallas game but the over has been money ever since.
A lot of trends point out to the over in this game so I might just play that instead of choosing a side.

Well put flip798...... Obviously my opinion could be considered that of a 'homer' from my avatar pic, but yes I'm also betting on my team after the bye week and the true MVP of tonight's game will be Def Coordinator, Dick LeBeau. The steeel curtain will dismantle Orton late in the game the same way they did with Favre and the Viks 2 weeks ago. Both of these teams have had a few 'lucky' wins if you watch the games, but only the Steelers have had 'unlucky' losses (against Chicago, where Reed missed 2 easy fgs and Cincy, where the Steelers clearly missed Polamalu). The bye week should help the Steelers with kickoff coverage which hasn't been so good last 2 games. With Cincy rolling in the division, the Steelers are in more of a must win situation than Denver. Taking the Steelers giving the points and maybe going with OVER since last night went under.

Pittsburgh and under! Two weeks to prepare for Orton. It's still Orton fellas. How many closet Orton backers loved Cassell last year. The team that makes the big plays will win this. That's Pittsburgh. Orton's short passing won't work tonight. I predict 2 picks and under 200 passing for Chicago's outcast! Ben isn't Tom Brady. He isn't going to be nervous about getting injured and he's big enough to stand through the first contact!

I just went by the last seven games to get a better gauge but if i go way back to the early 90's...
Pitt after a bye week----16-9 SU & 11-14 ats
Denver was the past 7 as well playing teams after the bye week but don't pay attention to that trend due to the new coaching staff.
Hard to use the trends in this one due to the changes in Denver....if you guys remember with all the problems Denver had in the off season the Broncos were projected to be in the bottom of their division but they proved basically everyone wrong and are sitting on top of their division.
Good luck

one MNF went under 40 pts this year 9/28 hapless Panthers vs. pathetic Cowboys (at the time).
two MNF went under 40 in 2008...Pitt/Wash......Bears/GB(12/22 brrrrrrrrr)

As much as I like Pittsburgh, I might just have to go with that pick myself.
Thanks for the college posts this weekend I lumbered all his picks and finished 3 or 4 games over .500.
I was looking for some NFL posts this weekend, but you didn't have any. Does he play NFL?
