If Sanchez can throw for 220 at Pitt, i would imagine Rodgers at a neutral field should be able to do a little better than that.I believe key will lay with GB being able to have a modicum of sucess with running game.A very hard task.I'll wait for line to go down a bit ad grab GB.Steeler secondary is going to be challenged. But if Pitt is able to run like they did against the Jets thats gonna make them hard to beat. Go Pack.Should be a good game.

The Dome will be a major asset for the packers i know many people dont see the venue for playing a role but with their speed and timing its huge. The Pitt secondary is their achilles heel as we know but with two weeks to prepare Dick lebow will have a plan BUT the emergence of starks and a running game make GB a tough cover. The Giants were up 3 TD's with 7 minutes left 4th quarter which ment the packers were eliminated. M. Vick goes crazy giants lose and now Greenbay finds themselves in the superbowl. Rogers has the quickest release since marino his pocket presence is unreal(he will need it vs pitt) he will be able to exploit pitts db's and control the game. The pack coach is very underrated in his play calling ability and dom capers will have his defense ready. If Pitt bring pressure thats fine but his quick release and slants over the middle mite produce some big plays. Packers 27 Pitt 21.

Sanchez threw for 220 because they had 1 rushing yard at halftime and were down 24-3. They had to throw the ball to get back in the game. People always act like the Steelers get passed on all of the time. It seems like that becaus teams have no chance at running the ball on them and are usually forced to throw a lot of passes.

Good point, but the Steelers know that and he was still able to do it.

Man.....hard to go against Pitt here.....very hard to do that......Bears had a chance to tie that game late with a third string qB.......as a matter of fact, I submit that if Hannie would have come in and played the third quarter, the Bears would have had even a better chance to win that game. If the Packers struggle to score 14 offensive points in that game after an opening 7 point drive.....what the heck is Pitt gonna do to the 6th seed, 6 lose Pack.......Looks like the wrong team is favored here. But, that is just a gut reaction without any real thought or digging.

I thought that Pitt would be a small fav here.i dont like going against Ben, he is a play maker, but i like GB offense to put up enough to win this one.

Also Pitt went scoreless the 2nd half,GB defense on same level as Jets, i would say, could be wrong though.

Green Bay also went scoreless in the 2nd half of the Bears game, except for that pick 6 by the Green Bay DL guy, other than that their offense was a non factor (For scoring). I like Pittsburgh in this game.

IF you were watching the game, you SHOULD know that once GB knew Cutler was out, they began running a generic offense. The second half was the most basic offense I've seen out of GB all year. They wanted to save their playbook for the Superbowl. If you have ever seen TODD COLLINS play, you would have done the same thing. Packers knew their D would win the game and wanted to limit the amount of exposure of their playbook...
*Vegas is begging for Pitt money right here. On every TV show today, everyone is all over the Steelers. Yet, GB is favored as a 6 seed.
*Pitt OLINE is banged up. If you watched the Jets game, you should have noticed how many stupid blitzes the Jets ran. They would line up with one DT and everyone on one side of the line. Not too hard for an OLINE to pick up. Packers come from all over the place. Packers will have a field day on this OLINE.
*Power vs Speed. However, GB also has power. So Steelers will play power football on offense while the Packers have the 2nd best D in the NFL. On O, the Packers speed will shred Pitts horrendous secondary. Pack will come out 4 and 5 wide and force Pitt to take their strength (LBS) off the field. Unless they want Harrison and CO. trying to cover Jones, Nelson, Jennings, and Driver.

I don't get how the Packers open as favorites. I'm guessing the Pack will win and cover as I won't be a sucker and avoid putting any money on Pittsburgh. The NFC is far weaker, but this is the Super Bowl. No sense in thinking about the line too much. Just wager something small and spend more money on food and beer that day and have fun..

Stalker gets it. Both winners build a lead get painfully conservative and put the game on two excellent defenses that can make the other team burn clock. PIT has the experience in SB's IMO this si a huge factor, but they have some injuries, and Polumolu still not 100%. Still PIT edge at saftey GB edge at corners. lineabckers edge PIT, D line even. Offense run game even, passing even, O-line GB. Special teams after further review.

The NFC is far weaker...? Why don't you give some reasons to back that up. Just another case of saying something that has absolutely no validity. Dude, the NFC had two 10-win teams that didn't even make the playoffs. The AFC playoffs were pretty much set in week 14. In recent years, yes the AFC has been superior. But to come out and make a nonsense comment like that. Give me a break. Go write that on your Yahoo message board or something and don't waste everyone's time.

Good point Pisano. Both teams scored a defensive TD. Pitts was forced. GB's was a fluke
