Watch the spread and try to get a better number on the Cheeseheads closer to game time.The Pitt money should move it by then.

Pack looked great against Atlanta. . .

But not so great against Philly and a hobbling Vick who was one pass away from beating Green Bay.  Rodgers was mediocre. . .

And again in Chicago, the Bears were on the thirty yard line in position to tie the game late with their third string q.b.

Rodger q.b. rating. . .73.  Very mediocre.

Pittsburgh took care of a better Ravens team with a come from behind victory and then downed the Jets in the first half only throwing 5 yes 5 times in the second half for the conservative win.

For a team that had to win the last game of the regular season to get in the playoffs and has looked mediocre in its last 3 out of 4 games, how in the world is Green Bay favored?

Me too, hopefully for your sake and mine he likes the Packers -     -2.5?!?! How are the Pack the underdogs? They almost didn't even make the playoffs - Vegas fix is in full effect people - get ready.......

Public perception. Both teams take the foot off the gas in the 2nd half GB forgiven against back up QB's in CHI, PIT not they look like the weaker team giving up points to Sanchez & co. and not scoring. Both teams did the same thing protect the lead, dont make any mistakes on offense, let the defense keep everything in front of them make them earn every yard and point. I'm thinking GB fav. helps even the sides.  Both teams match up very well on paper, with PIT SB experienced players makes the difference, early lean PIT.

Green Bay is tooooo Soft for Pittsburg, did you see what they did to the best defense in the NFL.. ate them for LUNCH AND SPIT THEM OUT.. If you seen my write up last week, I had PITT.. I HAVE PITT AGAIN.. dont fall for this favored crap.. they R the dog... NO DOUBT IN MY MIND... that Green bay gets beat.. and they get beat badly... ROOF ROOF ROOF...

Both teams came out good in the 1st halves in the conf championships... Any thoughts on 1st half bet? Pack -1 and total 22.5. I like the over. Also liking teaser with Steelers +8.5 and over 39.5. And I knew Cutler would blow, that game was like taking candy from a baby! GB should've won that game by 14+ if Rodgers didn't throw that pick to Urlacher.

I am from the 'Burgh and I can honestly understand why the line is Pack -2.5 b/c they are really on fire right now, but still very beatable. I will post again soon. But for now...

It's weird that you say the Steelers knew that and still couldn't stop it because didn't the same thing happen in the packers game? They get up to a nice 2 touchdown lead midway through the 3rd and an undrafted 3rd string QB comes in and completes 13-20 for 153 yards and almost brings them back when GB knew they weren't going to run the ball.

Im only watching the game for the commercials, outcome has already been determined by the big shots in Vegas in their fancy offices, Green Bay,,,,,,,,,,, LOCK,,,,,,,,,,,, yeah I said it, LOCK! I could give you 1000 reasons to take the Pack & 999 to take Pitt,,,,,,,,,,, the 1 variable, 6 seed laying CHALK, Enjoy the game!

Agree with most of that. Offense run game I think is in Pitt's favor. Mendenhall is a two-time 1,000 yard rusher while GB brings in a guy in Starks that was a relatively unkown until the Philly game. Passing game has gotta be in GB's favor. They've been relying on Rodgers all year cause they have no running game and he's gotten them here. The Steelers can win if Ben has a bad or even a so-so game (look at the '05 Superbowl and even the Jets game as examples) but GB needs Rodgers to play well if they're going to win. If he's off they're screwed. I don't think either O-Line is good. Pitt has already lost 3 guys throughout the year and those guys weren't even that good to begin with. Pouncey will play in the game (he had the same injury on the other ankle in college and played the next game) and he's the only reliable one. Bulaga and Clifton have given up a lot of sacks this year. Harrison and/or Woodley could have big games.

First of all I would like to give BIG props to the Steelers/Packers and their fans for making it to the BIG game

I feel that the Green Bay Packers coaching staff should deserve some credit for their game planning during the playoffs. I think Rodgers was at his best when he was going by what was scripted to start the games. I guess that's why GB was so terrific in the first half of games during the playoffs. Seems as though the second half of games where Rodgers took control of the offense were not as dynamic. I also feel that the GB defense is a bit under the radar and should get a lot of credit for getting the Packers this far. Starks seems to be stepping up as the starter at tailback but not real sure how he will fair against this tough Steelers run defense.

The Steelers already been to this show a few times and should be able to game plan really well without being distracted. They are very tough on both sides of the ball. If they get their running game going as they did against the Jets they will be looking at another Lombardi trophy.

Story book ending would be...Green Bay wins Super Bowl and Favre is quickly forgotten.

Probably best prop bet is that the commentators mention Favre's name over 10 times during the Super Bowl

Anyway should be a great game and I'm not sure which way I'm going as of yet...maybe Packers at the half

*Power vs Speed.  However, GB also has power. So Steelers will play power football on offense while the Packers have the 2nd best D in the NFL. On O, the Packers speed will shred Pitts horrendous secondary. Pack will come out 4 and 5 wide and force Pitt to take their strength (LBS) off the field. Unless they want Harrison and CO. trying to cover Jones, Nelson, Jennings, and Driver.

GB pass rush will get to Ben much more than Jets were able...more pressures and sacks.  Especially with Pitt Oline banged up even more now.  I too am confused by the line.  Could've sworn it would be Pitt -2.5.  Was looking forward to GB moneyline and getting a better payout.  Either way taking the Pack.  GB can limit the Pitt offense.  Also think GB offense will have good success on this strong Pitt defense by Pack's strength passing will take advantage of Pitt's only semi-weakness.  See it GB 27-24 with late Pitt TD.  Would love to take the over, but just too dicey with two solid defenses.  Jets game woulda been evem lower scoring without fumble TD.  Nowhere near this high total.  So just taking Packers.
