San Diego at Kansas City (09/13/2010)

The Buzz from the AFC West was that Oakland and KC were supposed to be much better this season while SD was maybe gonna take a slight slide back.

Well, so much for Da Raaaaaaaiders. Makes me wonder what KC will do in this MNF game. All I can say is that KC plays much tougher at home(as do most all the NFL teams) so I don't really expect a blowout by SD.

Although caution is telling me to be careful, I just can't see myself backing KC vs the defending division champs in the AFC West. Can KC win this? Sure, but I don't think they will. I'm expecting a game that will be closer than the final score will indicates with a 4th quarter SD touchdown to seal the win and cover before KC makes it an 8 point finish.

My guesstimate = Chargers-24 Chiefs-16

With more injuries to KC vs a healthier SD, and it Being Monday night under the lights football, I gotta love SD to win and cover EASILY the 4.5 or 5. I believe this line should be 10. This is Going to be like the Tenn/Oak game or the Pats/Bungles game. 10-14 points when all is said and done.

For what it's worth, last year SD opened up week 1 on a Monday Night against Oakland in Oakland and the Score was 24-20 SD.

The last time these 2 played waas on 11/29/09 43-14 SD

The Chargers should have a good chance of getting off to a fast start against a Chiefs team they outscored 80-21 in winning both meetings last season.

THE TOTAL FOR THIS GAME IS BASED SIMPLY OFF OFLAST YEARS STATS. LAST YEAR BOTH TEAMS GAVE UP AN AVERAGE OF 16 PTS PER GAME.  THE RAVENS SCORED 24.4 AND THE JETS SCORED 21.8

21.8+16/2= 18.9 JETS

I think we can excpect the same defensive performances from both teams if not slightly worse.  However I think both teams are improved offensively. I like Flacco as a quarterback and I like the fact we will probably see a lot of passing and dead clocks. Rice is a solid and versatile back, and Sanchez should be able to penetrate the Ravens secondary with a couple deep passes.

Ill chime in on this game as well fuck it.  All signs point to san diego kicking ass except for the x factors...Mathews and Charles.  KC seems prone to pounding the rock in this game, and charles is one of those guys that can have a big game any day of the week.  San Diego will prob try to run the ball as well with the rookie especially if they get an early lead.  The under looks like a good play to me.  Wouldnt be surprised if KC catches SD off-guard with a solid run game.
