- I have some issues with your comments above. Seattle may have had the Giants number out in Seattle...not in NY where its a different world. One of the games seattle won was an overtime game where Jay Feely missed THREE field goals in the 4th Quarter and OT.
- NY Giants are 4-1 SU in their last 5 games when playing at home against Seattle
-The Seahawks did not play in the Meadowlands this year. They played at Buffalo which is about 7-8 hours away from the Meadowlands.
- Dominek Hixon will step in for Plaxico and have a breakout performance (that one isn't a fact, but my opinion - guy is nasty and will fit right in running the #1 WR routes)
Allow me to retort; I have some issues with your comments
And I want you to look it up. When was the last time the Seahawks were beaten by the Giants by 7 points? Please provide this information in detail for the thread.
As far as Hixon is concerned, how do you know what he will do on the field as a starter? How many games has he started? What are his habits during the week? He is a variable and should be treated as such until proven otherwise.
I may have been a few miles off on locationof teir first East Coast trip, but you get my drift.
Gators21,
Lighten up man. It's football talk, not personal attacks. Notice how jjmandi and I can discuss issues without getting personal? Have some class.

I have a feeling this is going to be a simliar matchup of the Giants vs. the extremely tough team The Bengals.... (note the sarcasm).... I would say that GMEN might pull it out at home, but I can't see them covering 7....
and not having plax is HUGE..... it just brings less focus to that side of the field, whether he gets his touches or not
I don't want to downplay Plax being out, but not only is HIxon ready to show the world what he's made of, but the Giants have one of the deepest receiving cores in the NFL.

Good point on the HIxon as a starter thing...I have no idea what he does during the week, i just hope its cooler than what Travis Henry does!!! But really he is a guy that just looks like he's been waiting for this.
As far as your question when the Giants have beaten them by more than 7 points? I think that is irrelavent. The Seahawks have regressed greatly in the last couple years and the Giants are better. I think the better question would be around the ATS numbers if you want to look at the histories don't you think?
If i can use an exaggerated analogy, I compare that to saying something along the lines of:
"I'm not betting Dallas (-18) this weekend because whens the last time they beat the Bengals by 18 points?"
Because things change every year I can't go by the spreads for the past, only how they did ATS. Does that make sense?

i totally agree with the last sentence! the Giants stumbled upon a real sleeper with Hixon... Toomer is a stud and a veteran, but this game has the potential to create a tough decision for the Giants going forward, because i believe Hixon is a more potent weapon already...
we'll see...
