Washington is coming off a bye, whereas Atlanta had a short week due to the Monday night game.  Now I don't have the statistics.....but teams coming off of their bye week tend to make a good showing their next game.  And they ought to.........if you have 2 weeks to rest and prepare, and you still aren't ready to play....it is a direct reflection on the coaching staff.  Now while I understand that the Redskins coaching staff leaves much to be desired, I do not believe they are going to get run out of the Georgia Dome.

Double digit point spreads are tough to cover in the NFL.  Now while the favorites have been covering in these spots this year, you have to examine the teams that are getting beat up.  The Lions, Bills, Rams, Titans, Chiefs, Raiders, and Buccaneers do not have the personnel to compete.  The Redskins on the other hand do play defense somewhat.....and it is my contention that if Jason Campbell had more time he wouldn't be nearly as bad as he has been.

The Redskins have only given up 17 1/2 points per game.  This is a proud organization, and I expect they will show us their best effort of the season thus far.

there is no debate that there is "OVER INFLATION" in this spread...  i mean who in their right mind will take the crappy/spiralling skins @ ATL? unless you give them massive points...

wash QB is terrible, always was... portis is washed up... or at least lost his edge (just go back & look at his late game run at end of that kc game- he never followed his blocker down field- should have been an easy game sealing TD, but his lack of detail caused him to get tackled at 10 yd line = usual wash fg, and they lost game)...nice going portishead!

not so sure a bye will help the skins..

again, going by stats will get you shellacked in the wagering world- plays right into the hands of the lines-makers.... so, in this stat case- byes:   just look at the giants off their bye- LOST outright minus 9... Denver off their bye, LOST!... atlanta- LOST!... didn't help Sea- LOST!... SD- LOST!... Jaxx- LOST! (& they really needed that game also!)........ prob not going to help redskins off their bye either..

that diarrhea bye stat (79 & 59 since its inception) is misleading... personally i don't like byes period... sure some teams won after their bye & it can help when a team has injuries, but in general its misleading shit... 

 when you go to a sportsbook in vegas, as i was in vegas last week (my eagles cashing)  they give you stats on the back of the spreadsheet = they want you to go by stats!!! plays right into their hands!... hehe  

& by the way, short week stats also misleading (eagles off MNF short week,  came out prepared & spanked giants- off a short week!)

i just cant see wash & their bye making a difference this week?..

although ATL offense is a bit overrated, could be a possible debacle game...lol

but with that said, i still see no reason to take the horrific zorn skins, even with the obvious over-inflated spread...

btw- anyone also notice how cooley jinxed himself on MNF? ---> with his fruity haircolor change AND his MNF pre-game spotlight segment--> then breaks his ankle & is out for season!lol he should just playball, decline that pregame spotlight, do his painting/arts & crafts & just stfu... instead he kissed himself to death, now he watches from bench... not quite a madden jinx, but he still jinxed himself nuntheless...still not sure why MNF did a segment on cooley in the first place?... would have rather seen a segment on zorn.lolol...

ATL -10: another play against a bad team. Matt Ryan is 8-2 ATS at home. Altho the Birds may have left alot on the field last week vs. the Saints, Campbell and his terrible O-line will need more than a bye to keep pace with Atlanta. Score: Falcons 48-Redskins 6 (4 units).

Thing is I've been pretty hard on WAS all year and have been right about them just about every time !!

As bad as WAS is they do have a pretty respectable defense.

That being said I'll take WAS to cover.

Oh they wont win this game but I just think 9 is too much for ATL.
