Washington has scored one FG in each of their last 2 games. They have a new coach and a new system that they don't have down yet. They won't be scoring much. Kiwanuka had a sack against NE. I think the Giant line can still pressure the QB. NY wins and covers this one easy.
Good teams win games, Great teams cover the spread!

liking giants here, wash has'nt shown much through preseason and i don't see them improving in the near future.zorn needs a fully charged cattle prod to motivate both offense and an under performing defense. thinking eli goes air on wash early and often, if he does with a modicum of sucess it will go over the 41.

I agree here. Washington's offense has looked horrid- can't see them scoring more than 10 points. Initial lean on NYG and under.

Wow, I'll keep it unanimous. Number just seems a little low. Defending Super Bowl champs, home opener, fired up crowd, Thursday night game, etc., and just a better team.
Ray Bones - welcome to Covers (not that I'm a veteran or anything).

MAybe its the heroin talking, but I'm taking Skins + the points. Why? I like going against the consensus, especially when its this strong. Also, everybody will be bringing their A-game against the defending Superbowl champs

Arti, I will agree with you SKINS might be the smart play here.
I just won a nice profit on UCLA +7.5 by fading the consensus.
I also remember how much everyone loved CLEV BROWNS against the GIANTS in preseason, as I recall I think I only two post for the GIANTS everyone else loved the BROWNS.
just something to consider. GL to all whoever you play on.

Hey to all the regulars out there, back again for another football season and game #1 for me in this football season is the NYG vs WAS. Now it has to be noted that losing Osi and with no Strahan, the Giants may not create the pressure from their ends this year as they so famously did last year on their run to a SB.
However, when u look at this game, I think that you have to take the NYG -3.5 because Wasington has wwaaaay too many question marks. Jason Campbell will come back for his first regular season start since the middle of last year under another new offensive system (what is that 4 of the last 5 years with a new offensive coordinator?) plus I think Eli will have a lot more confidence coming into this season (which I hate to say). Also, since they solved Plax's issue with his contract, and the dual threat of Jacobs/Bradshaw along with being at home in the first game, all 3 of these points will lead the G-Men to cover this spread
NYG -3.5
W-L Record so far: 1-0 (Fresno St. over Rutgers)
Bet amount for this game: 1 unit

If the Redskins win this game, let alone lost by less than 4 points, I will be amazed. First game for new head coach Jim Zorn. I don't take much stock in pre-season, but man you have to a little when your team looks that bad.
I seriously doubt Jason Taylor will play. Big advantage in the QB area and the coaching area.
I am really thinking about laying some lumber in this one on the Giants. I am surprised the line is not higher.
And the guy taking the place on the defensive end, his name is too long to spell for me, was a beast at B.C. at defensive end. I don't think there will be a drop off here either.
My prediction:
Giants 34
Redskins 10

Beware the superbowl hangover here fellas....Vegas is giving us a much more realistic line here due to the injury bug on the Giants D. Something is telling me that the Redskins will show up here ready to play after a dreadfull preseason. I am still reviewing this one but I may lean towards taking the pts and going with the Skins.
Back with more later

You were doing way to well towards the end of the season- hitting the Gaints big in the SB- and I know what kind of gambler you are(you lost a handicapping contest to a chicken and a retard).
Got to fade your pick here. GL
