Ancer -125 v English Ancer was 12th here last time event was held in 2019 in his only try here and he was in the mix for the win until back 9 when he had a few bogeys and faded. Last time out at the Concession (tour course) Ancer was good at T18
Meanwhile English seems to have lost his edge. Last 4 events 26/66/MC/MC What's more he is awful here having MC his last 6 years here and before that was 33 and 64

Rd2 Spieth -110 v Niemann Spieth playing well right now with 4 straight events Top 15 or better. With 3 times top 4 or better
Rd1 Spieth drove the ball great missing only 2 fairways (made par on both) and was #1 in field in strokes gained tee to green. Watched his post round interview and he said he got the absolute highest score he could've gotten and felt he hit the ball very well. He said he hit some irons right over or at the flag only to be 5 yards too short or long. Driving the ball straight had been the thing missing so he seems to be getting better and better and closer and closer to the form that made him great.
In his interview they talked about confidence and he confirmed he is more and more confident. You can see it in his body language and anybody that has played competitivesports, really at any level, knows that confidence is half the battle...probably more.
Niemann just ok at +1 hit 50% fairways 67% greens
Spieth hit 86% fairways 83% greens
Spieth (-2) was +1.03 strokes gained putting while Niemann was -0.1 but Spieth made less than 70' of putts
Spieth has struggled here in the recent past years but was 4th years ago in his 1st try when he was playing good. his round today shows how well he is playing. I'm looking/hoping for more of the same
Niemann comes into this event having never played the tourney His last 2 starts finished 28 & 43 Maybe emotionally struggling with the health struggles of his young nephew?

Gonna try again after Rd2 Spieth disaster. Can’t believe how badly he putted
and kind of pissed that English withdrew as Ancer is playing well so I am pretty sure that would’ve been a winner the way English is playing lately and his awful past history here. Kind of makes sense his awful play of late now that we find out he w/d due to his back
Rd3 Dechambeau-115 v Fitzpatrick If u can't beat him (Dechambeau) join him. I didn't Bryson played all that great to win last week and I thought betting against him this week might be a good idea. I didn't because lines were high lays and good thing because he is playing much better this week. Earlier this week Bryson in his interview described his win last week as his "C" game! So if he play that good with his "C" game it's scary what "B" or "A" game is. Anyway just looking at rd2 he started off with a lousy drive which led to double bogey when he missed a 7' bogey. Came back to go -5 last 17 holes to finish -3. His proximities the hole was very good. He had 12 birdie putts of less than 20' compared to only 6 for Fitzpatrick. Dechambeau longest made putt was 8'2"and finished -1.15 strokes gained putting or his round would've been better. Only made 50' of putts all day Fitzpatrick on other hand made a lot of long putts and finished +4.07 strokes gained putting. Fitzpatrick made 4 putts of 9' or more compared to the 0 made by Dechambeau and included were putts made of 32'/20'/10'/9'
Dechambeau will make some putts today and his proximity to the hole is in large measure due to the fact he hits it so far as he hit it 32 yards longer rd2 this giving him the shorter approach shots
Fitzpatrick is playing very well lately but I don't think you can expect him to be +4 strokes gained putting again today and his past history at this course is nothing great 41/46/MC/MC
Line is ok at -115

Well Bryson was easy. Wire to wire by open lengths. Gets the Spieth Rd2 money back Was gonna play Spieth right back too at +115 v Morikawa and wish I’d done that too
And Ancer played good again so the English w/d is pissing me off
