Been married for 16 years. Forgot an anniversary card once, about 11 years ago. Was actually out of town for the holiday. Caught grief for not planning ahead. She was right. I will never be allowed to forget it, but it helps me not forget again.

Give the girl a ring. You can always upgrade. Regardless of finances, she is well aware that you have money to gamble, but can't justify buying a ring.  Just trying to help.
