It's a long season and anyone who thinks they'll win every bet is delusional. Cold streaks are just a part of the game, but minimizing them is what separates the sharps to losing bettors. Not even I am immune to losing streaks. Suffice to say, let's right the ship, steer ahead and make some money! Only one game on the docket for today and thankfully I have this game dissected accordingly. I will Martingale the Oiler's until they win their 1st game. I like this strategy because a) I have the bankroll to sustain the losses b) The general public will bet against the Oiler's thus increasing line value each successive game they lose c) A win is statistically inevitable in their next 3 games or less (strictly looking at the #'s) The Oiler's are slowly showing signs of improvement. The ineptitude of the management namely the Owner,President,GM & Coach is preventing this team from being top contenders. No fault unto the team since we have a formidable collection of players with incredible talent, youth and potential waiting to be unleashed. RNH, Draisatle, Eberle, Hall, Yakupov just to name a few. These are as Blue-Chip as they come however consistency is a real issue. A team willing to play a high tempo up & down game seems to bring the best out the aforementioned. Cue the visiting TB Lightning... This is an average team made into a great team solely because of one player: S.Stamkos. Arguably the NHL's most prolific pure goal scorer and a gifted sniper. The devastating loss of the heart & soul of the team aka Marty St.Louis was equally a game changer. Night after night this team is bailed out by Stamkos as he literally carries this team on his back as a one man wrecking machine. Additions of Boyle, Callahan, Morrow, Garrisson were side grades at best. On a night to night basis, I conclude that without meaningful contributions by Stamkos or B.Bishop this team is vulnerable. And to further complicate matters stud defenseman V.Hedman is injured and unable to play. Expect to see an imbalanced penalties discrepancy in favor of the home team. Expect lots of rushes, open ice 2on1's, giveaways, breakouts and breakaways. Hence, I foresee a high scoring game with a lot of goals and the Oiler's being the ones capitalizing on their many PP chances. If we get half decent containment on Stamkos and steady goaltending it's invariably the Oiler's game to lose. Again, this team will not want to lose at home in front of their extremely loyal and faithful fans. Critical emphasis will be placed on the coach to have this team at its best as he is on the hot seat. We may very well see the proverbial "overlooking a poor team" and therefore come out flat, disinterested and complacent. Look for any reason for the ref's to give the Oiler's an advantage knowing full well the league has a internal unwritten parity mandate. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oilers +145 ML $5000 (expect the line to get better closer to game time) -Art |

Ok, I've made 3 exceptionally solid value picks of which 2 of them could have gone either way. I've always maintained as long as you see value in a play you will be profitable in the long run! Trust me, I'm just around the corner to going on a hot streak so be patient. The NY Islanders are the sleeper team of the East. GM Garth Snow has made some brilliant acquisitions during the off season that has put this team in a spot to be very competitive. Picking up a legit #1 goalie J.Halak to replace the ancient Nabakov was crucial. Adding Boychuk & Leddy 2 veteran D-Men with Stanley Cup Championship pedigree doesn't hurt. What I love about this team is the forwards are young, fast and ever improving. As the old adage goes "speed kills". The Islanders can score in bunches but their past downfall was horrendous defensive blunders matched with despicable goaltending. They've addressed those issues & are 4-0 to start. This is a team on a mission so don't sleep on them. The Penguins will always be an overvalued team in due part of public's perception, having 2 of the best NHL players (Malkin/Crosby), and their offensive firepower. This team isn't any better than years prior and losing James Neal will put a damper on things. New forward acquisitions of Downie and Hornqvist only marginally improves this roster. While I do like the addition of Erhoff on D for his offensive tangibles, it's usually at the cost of defensive blunders. To make this short, this game will be decided by goaltending. Between Halak & Fleury I'll back the proven and reliable Halak. It's more of an automatic fade of MAF because he is such a terrible #1 goalie. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Islanders +150 ML $2000 - Art |

This is purely a mathematical numbers play! The Oilers have played 4 games and have yet to win a game. In terms of probability they should be able to win the 5th game. Factors in play here: They already played the Canucks and looked good. The Oiler's are playing at home and I see the league gifting the Oiler's with more PP opportunities than the Canucks. The Oiler's coach Eakins is on the hot seat and is going to do his best to have this team prepared. The team was embarrassed after their home fans threw Oiler's jerseys on ice after their home loss. It won't be easy but they squeek a W here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edmonton Oilers +135 ML $2500 -Art |

Last year the Colorado Avalanche exceeded everyone's expectations. One could argue they took 1 step back with the loss of star P.Stasny only to add 2 steps forward with proven perennial All-Stars in Briere & Iginla. I can't stress enough how crucial these new additions were to further invigorate this club's deadly offensive attack! The avalanche possess 3 capable lines that can score at will at any given moment. Already 2 games in, the Avalanche have played a murderer's row in Bruins & Wild. A match with the Leafs will see a proven Western Conference team bully a weaker Eastern Conference opponent in the Leafs. The style of play here will dictate a high uptempo offensive first scoring bonanza. I see the Leafs down early which will force them to play open up with a lot open ice rushes 2on1's and breakaways. Now let's look at the Toronto Maple leafs. This is a team that cannot be trusted, period! A team this fragile has no business instilling any confidence to bettors much less their fan base. They brought in a new President in Brenden Shanahan and fired their entire Assistant Coahing save. Had their Head Coach Randy Caryle not recently signed an extension he too would have been given a pink slip. The type of player's the Leafs have just doesn't mesh with Carlyle's system. We have the Leafs with a proven scoring line who also spend a lot of time in their own zone. Now the major cause for concern is the Leafs defense! The newly acquired S.Robidas is old, washed up & susceptible defensively. While I do agree R.Polak was a good pick up from St.Louis as a steady "stay at home" D-man, he is in way over his head not having the stable core base like he did with Shattenkirk, Bouwmeester, Petriangelo, Jackman, Leopold. And finally we have tonight's starter James Reimer. He is the team's backup and quite frankly a "headcase". Concussion problems have plagued his career. As a result his play has suffered drastically letting in soft goals galore. For every 1 good game he will have 5 poor games. Even I could light him up and I don't play hockey! I see major defensive liabilities in Phaneuf, Robidas, Rielly, Franson. Will they be able to contain the firepower of the Avalanche? Not a chance in hell!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Colorado Avalanche TT O2.5g -130 $2000 - Art |

And so a new season is finally upon us once again! Last year was a great year in terms of my overall profits and once again I came out profitable, per usual! There were ups & downs and the inevitable losing streaks, but I've always maintained a successful capping system to which I strictly adhere to come high or hell water. Since my foray into the NHL betting scene, I have not had a single losing season. A remarkable feat that less than 0.1% are able to attest. Moving forward, I would again like to share a few of my select plays throughout the year as I have done previously. Bottom line here is we're all here to make money. The variables are endless, but I absolutely believe I've solved this game down to the molecular level so to speak. What the general public observes as inconsequential minutiae, I on the other hand see as valuable data, which ultimately differentiates a "pro capper" to a "square". I will document all of my plays & keep detailed records inside this thread for the naysayers, disbelievers, skeptics who may have the audacity to discredit the veracity of my claims. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canucks vs. Flames The perpetually awful Calgary Flames have been in a state of dismal failure for oh... a decade. 10 years ago they were in the Cup finals only to lose to the Lightning. Since then, this organization has been in a tailspin into despair. This team should be stamped on the side of a milk carton with the caption that reads "MISSING". The futility of rising past the mediocre label and surprising skeptics is a dying man's last wish. Losing all-star Mike Cammalleri in the off season did nothing but make this team worse. He was a proven veteran that highly contributed offensively while providing the much needed leadership that this young, fragile, inexperienced team needs. Adding no significant upgrades is the more damning point of significance here. The cast off journeymen additions of Mason Raymond & Devon Setaguchi is a band-aid solution at best. To make my point evidently more clear: These 2 players were a tryout away from not having a job anymore in the NHL as their previous employers kicked them to the curb. In terms more readily understood: They just couldn't cut the mustard! Don't expect any worthwhile contributions from these two inconsistent has-beens. Shoring up the goaltending position is Jonas Hiller. A once proven goalie his tenure at starter's spot was short lived with the sudden emergence of younger, cheaper and more reliable goalies in J.Gibson & F.Andersen. Again, that left no room for the easily expendable Hiller. Do you see a trend here? The Flame's affinity to acquire other teams "damaged goods". Hiller is simply past his prime and with a fragile defense core I expect he will at some point be demoted to backup just like in Anaheim. The Vancouver Canucks rid themselves of a notoriously hot head coach in John Tortorella. They revamped their coaching staff and brought in a fresh brilliant minded offensive coach in Willy Desjardins. They also appointed long time fan favorite and long time former Canuck Trevor Linden as President while naming a new GM Jim Benning formerly Bruins Assistant GM. Make no mistake, this is a revitalized team with a new identity, mojo, swag or whatever you want to call it. A key free agent signing in Radim Vrbata has the makings to not only be the steal of the century but the holy grail piece to compliment the dynamic duo of the Sedins. To say I am bullish on this line is an understatement but this very well could be the top producing line in the NHL. The key addition of superstar goalie Ryan Miller and dismissal of unreliable diva Roberto Luongo will make it almost impossible to score on the Canucks. With the league's best backup goalie this Canuck's team has the best 1-2 goalie tandem bar none. Exciting key additions include Linden Vey, Nick Bonino & Derek Dorsett. While I do not expect the Canucks to be a powerhouse or a division leader I am compelled to call them a team that will surprise a lot of heads. A note of emphasis will undoubtedly be placed on scoring goals. Playoff bound or not you will find this team to have some incredible value in certain spots as the season moves along. Losing 4 cancer personalities in Luongo, Kesler & Torterella & Gillis alone is one giant leap for this organization. You can quote me when I say this team will unequivocally make some noise. You could also take a flier on them winning the Cup @ 33/1 Vancouver Canucks -1.5 +264 $1000 Lets get that eazy money - Art

It's not a simple process of picking a recommended Cover's capper and tailing his/her plays. There's a certain science to being a successful, long term winning NHL bettor. The NHL is a different game than your traditional sports like NFL, NCAA, NBA, MLB. It's a niche sport that your average person doesn't follow. You have to know all the intricacies of this game and really dissect every minute detail! With that being said, I do recommend checking out my select plays. I am not a heavy volume bettor in the traditional sense, but when I see value in a line I will hit it hard. I am not a tout that charges for any of my plays either. Bear in mind, I'm not going to hit every play, however you can put faith in my capping abilities once I start hitting winners on a continual basis. Again, I am one of the well estabilished NHL cappers on Covers who has recorded some memorable underdog bets. For example, I hit the the Buffalo Sabres @ +355 underdog which is unheard of. My pregame analysis was spot on and I capped the game to a T. Beware of the capper's who just take favorites and come out in the end @ even's or down profit because of all the juice they drink. Luck be with you and lets make that eazy money - Art

Dallas Stars ML +190 50 Units I'm going to give you a razor sharp play today for today. My last Canucks play hit big. Starting to get on a very sick winning streak as obviously the stars (no pun intended) are aligning for me. Just like the state of Texas, Dallas is scorching hot having won 7 of their last 10 games. With the arrival of Stanley Cup champion ace goaltender Tim Thomas, I see this team ramping up for a serious playoff push. Tyler Seguin, Valeri Nichushkin & Jamie Benn are sizzling hot firing on all cylinders. Dallas is a team that can score in bunches. The key reason you want to play Dallas tonight is the Rich Peverely factor. You know this team is going to give 100% effort for their fallen teammate who had a serious stroke last night. I believe we're going to see a resurgence in Tim Thomas. This guy stole games with his goal tending in Boston. The St.Louis Blues are a very good team but teams do take nights off. Simply put the Stars have more to play for and this will be the deciding factor tonight. +190 is a free gimme. Game will be close and Stars come away with the win. Again take into account the factors there's no way you cannot take the Stars here. -Art |

I've quite literally been on one of the worst stretches of my betting career. After some horrific bad beats I decided to take a much needed break.
I hit an absolutely monster future with Canada to win the Sochi Olympics Gold. One of the easier bets mind you. Anyways, I'm back and ready to crush the bookies until they're begging for mercy Vancouver Canucks ML -160 50 Units Vancouver Canucks PL +180 25 Units Vancouver Canucks TT O2.5 50 Units The Calgary Flames are on a back to back entering a game vs. an extremely pissed off Vancouver Canucks team that will do everything in its power to come away with the W. The last game between these 2 rivals was a brawl filled affair. There's certainly no love lost between these 2 teams. The Flames are resigned to the fact that they will not make the playoffs. However the Vancouver Canucks are still in the playoff hunt and they desperately need these 2 points to stay in the hunt. With the acquisition of hulking center Shawn Mattias and the recalling up of high scoring prospect Nicolas Jensen, this team is ready to break out of their cocoon. Letting go of a huge distraction in Roberto Luongo means stud goaltender Eddie Lack can show his true potential. Scouts have tabbed Lack as a blue chip prospect with a potential higher than Cory Schneider who they let go last summer. The Calgary Flames are a bad team. Further proof is the losses of Lee Stepniak & Reto Berra. Veteran Mike Callameri is sour that he was not traded at the deadline to another team. This team is riddled with a bunch of young unseasoned prospects who have yet to prove themselves at the NHL level. Quite frankly this team is due. What better an opportunity against a lowly bottom of the barrel Flames team. Lets get that eazy money boys & remember to thank me after these picks hit! - Art |

Parlay Jets/hawks O5.5 & Canucks/Coyotes U5.5 +104 50 units
Any smart capper understands they should avoid parlays like the plague. Reasons for which should be self explanatory. I like to think of myself as a contrarian of sorts, a razor sharp capper who is willing to go out on a limb to buck the trend so to speak. Parlays are safe if limit them and have all but guaranteed locks. Won't go into any great detail but this parlay hits at a 90% mark. Hawks will have a strong effort after a few lacklustre losses. Jets are scoring as a result of Coach Maurices offensive minded game plans. 2 head case goalies that let in lots of soft goals Injury riddled Canucks can't score and they are basically a poor mans La Kings. Coyotes will have a hard time with a hot Roberto Luongo who is auditioning for starting goalie spot on Canada Olympic roster. In all likelihood This game will be boring and we will see a 3-2 score. My results speak for itself. Top 10 nhl capper in the world. Career 65% long term winner. Follow my plays and you win money no ifs and or buts about it. -Art |

SJ Sharks -0.5 -125 Half Bankroll Bet Jets on an uncharacteristic 4 game winning streak after a fluke win in Anaheim. We have a huge let down spot where the Jets will have to move mountains in order to win in SJ. Fat chance it happens again as SJ is 17-2-3 at home. I'm not even doing any research or stats checking. This is a gut instinct that Sharks will dominate from start to finish. Jets are in over their heads. Don't complicate easy picks and you'll have easy winners. Essentially we`re talking free money here. Jets win this game 1 in 15 tries. -Art |

Edmonton Oilers ML +130 50 units
This is a steal of a line, trust me. The Canucks are a team that has literally imploded. Everything you could possibly imagine is wrong with this team. Torterella suspended for fighting. Captain henrik sedin injured out of lineup. Sesitito fighter media punching bag via Olberman over goon tactics. Referees have serious vendetta against team. Team with no goal scoring. Locker room chemistry a mess. This game should be -110 Oilers or at the very worst PK. I'm taking the Oilers because this is a team that can and will out score vancouver tonight. Another skewed line as public is betting team on name recognition. Will be quite possibly easiest bet I've made this year - Art |

Phoenix Coyotes ML -117 & -1.5 +245 50 Units Each! XLARGE Another beautiful spot to lay down a huge bet due to a number of factors. Jets are a mess fans booing them so home ice non factor. They just fired they're coach and brought in an even worse coach in Paul Maurice. He couldn't cut it in the KHL. He coached the Maple Leafs and they stunk for years under his tutilege A new coach coming in trying to implement his new system is a disaster for the jets who will be unfamiliar with it. Internal rumors that the locker room is in chaos. This teams goalie issues is enormous problem. Trade talks keeping players on edge as rumors that top players Ladd,Buflin,Kane,Wheeler are available to other teams not a good sign. Load up on this play. It 100% hits hard and you will be laughing all the way to the bank. Golden spot play here. No when to pick them to be a profitable long term NHL bettor! - Art

20 Units Vancouver Canucks ML Don't be fooled. Square bettors are going to slam this line because they see the Blues winning streak, their position in the standings. This line is begging you to take them. Unfortunately the Blues have played 2 bottom of the barrel teams that any solid team could beat. St.Louis is on back 2 back so they are going to be fatigued. This is your prototypical "let down" game. The Canucks have lost 2 heart breakers because of fluke last minute goals by the opposition to tie the game. They are hungry to right the ship. This is a huge game for the Canucks and trust me they will be motivated to win this game. Blues 8 game winning streak will come to an end tonight. A sport where its incredibly difficult to go on lengthy winning streaks 9 is usually unheard of. - Art

Coming off an amazingly profitable 2013 betting campaign, yesterday was my single worst day ever as an NHL bettor. I lost 50% of my 2014 NHL bankroll just like that. Sharks screwed me but the Canucks absolutely destroyed me. My temper got the worst of me after losing. I've been taking the Vancouver Canucks recently as live dogs and have been right on my predictive pre-game betting analysis. Capping the game to a T only to get screwed over in the 3rd period late with under a minute to go. Somethings not right. Right now I would advise NHL cappers to refrain from betting because this whole Olympics on the horizon is compounding matters. Teams suddenly lighting up the scoreboard games going way over projected O/U lines. Even the best go on funks. Thankfully I have the bankroll to sustain these horrendous downturns. I'm not making this post to whine or complain but rather to warn you that any bets should be placed after the Olympics when things return to normal. Betting now is just asking for trouble and essentially just flipping a coin or throwing darts on the board - Art

EDMONTON OILERS ML +148 - 1/4 BANKROLL BET I am one of the most consistent NHL big pick winners & premier NHL cappers with an unprecedented level of success. Cover's undisputed #1 NHL Capper of 2013 Circled this game and you will all no doubt benefit from the fruits of my labor. I laboriously exhausted myself hours on end to bring forth to you this 5 star pick. St Louis a mediocre 5-4-1 (Last 10 games) Team Captain David Backes (Injured) Top 6 Forward Vladimir Sobotka (Questionable?) Brian Elliot Expected to start (Overrated Goalie) The Blues are struggling right now without the services of their captain David Backes. He is the heart & soul of this team and where he goes the team follows. As it stands now the lines are jumbled resulting in chemistry issues not to mention a trio of liabilities in an over-the-hill Morrow, ineffective Paajarvi & 13th forward/pressbox watcher in Colaiacovo. With the acquisition of Bryzgalov the Edmonton Oilers are getting better goaltending. It has been their achilles heel all season long as Dubnyk just flat out sucks. Close games to Canucks & Ducks were gallant efforts & showed this team can play with the upper echelon. Back home from a road trip the Oiler's will be very well rested and ready to skate hard vs. a team that may overlook them. I expect former Blues forward David Perron to have a monstrous game as he has something to prove. Simply put the Oiler's top 6 are more skilled and have more firepower than St Louis. I fully expect this pick to hit and just hope everyone appreciates the free picks I provide on occasion. Eazy Money - Art |
