RB Ford out for USF doesn't matter, they have 3 other RB's that are just as good. They have A LOT of talent, or at least much more than UCF.

YTD: Won the "weekly" CFB Contest in Week #1 (still in the lead). Also won the CFB Bowl Game "Playoffs" last season too. College football is easy for me..my father was a CFB coach and I have a little coaching in my blood myself........don't ask me about NFL picks though, I hate the NFL and I suck ATS b/c you never know how those millionaires will act week by week.
"Hammer Games" are games where favorites should "hammer" their opponent and where I think the line is off by at least 10-14 points. Here are my "HAMMER PICKS" for Saturday:
S. Florida -14 (should win by a least 24...they won 62-14 last year. UCF not near the talent coming back this year).
Florida -23 (score will be 45-13..big recruiting war for UF, Urban won't let up the whole game).
Cal -13.5 (Cougs are really bad this year, Cal by 23)
Nebraska -26.5 (Really???? I'd consider -26.5 in the 1st half..SJSU was losing to Cal-Davis 10-0 in the 3rd Qtr last week).
Kansas -20.5 (Soft line here b/c La Tech beat a shitty Miss St. team and getting more credit for beating an SEC team.. Kansas by 28).
UPSET ALERT GAMES (Games to consider on the Money Line)
Akron
Duke
Ga. Tech
East Carolina
Washington
New Mexico
UL-Monroe

I don't know why everyone is jumping on Tennessee so quick and giving them so much credit. UT is always slow out of the gate in their 1st game of the year. Add in the fact their playing 3,000 miles away from home in L.A. and this should be a good game. UCLA will keep this one close in a low scoring afair. Wait right before kickoff and you can probably get UCLA at 8.5 or so.
UT 20 UCLA 17

80% of the public is taking Fresno +4......You know what that means. Give my Rutgers.....RU by at least 14 today.

I think the side will land really close between 7-9 points......not touching it, although if I had to make a choice I'd take UCLA +8 & UNDER......even though UCLA may be "down" on offense I think they're "D" will keep it a low scoring game. First start for UT QB Crompton on the road in LA won't be easy for him. UT will test the UCLA DB's early by going deep. As long as UCLA doesn't give UT momentum early then I think they can keep it close.

Damnit! If the game goes over 51 I'm gonna win the Home Audio System which is the prize for 1st place in the NCAAF Playoffs. I'd rather come in 2nd and win the $500! Wouldn't you? Has anyone out there won the Audio System? I saw a picture of it and it and I don't understand it...is it the TV & the Audio System??? Look, I'm not complaining about finishing 1st, but I might rather finish 2nd and win $500. I got screwed in the wagerline "Bowl Pick 'em" b/c Stoops can't win a BCS game. I would have won $500 there too! Stoops sucks in Bowl games!||an_burn_money.gif' border=0>

How do you determine a tie-breaker? With so many players there will probably be a tie at the top.

Illinois whipped OSU's ass in that game. Bottom line, the refs let both teams play.

STOOPS will HAMMER Texas A&M. He's gonna try and score 77 on them like they did in 2004. He can't stand Francione.

Have you ever heard of "Home Cooking" boys! Troy plays in the Sun Belt Conf. and the refs who are doing the game are from the Sun Belt also. Ok St. had no chance of winning this game from the start.

Even though LSU scored 45 points last night vs. Miss Deaf & Blind St., I saw some major deficiencies in their Offense. They will struggle against most Defenses in the SEC, not to mention next week's game at home vs. Virginia Tech. They only have 1 go-to receiver in Early Doucet and really nobody after that. New OC Gary Crowton brought the Oregon Duck offense to a standstill last year in the PAC-10. How the hell will he adjust to defenses in the SEC? LSU will lose 3 games this year and will have no chance of making it to the BCS Championship game.

Perriloux is off the team. He's transferring. Matt Flynn is a damn good QB. He beat the hell out of Miami in the Sugar Bowl a few years ago.
My picks for (Thursday) Week #1:
Tulsa -5......Monroe will be good in their conference, but Tulsa has much better talent. They should win this one by at least 2 TD's
Iowa St - 3.5 ......Kent is horrible. Every year they are supposed to be better but it's the same 'ole story, they have THE worst Special Teams in the country...ISU rolls in this one by at least 21 pts.
Utah St. +7.....The Aggies will beat UNLV straight up in this matchup, take the Money line.

I just don't see Clemson losing at night in Death Valley; especially as a Home underdog. Those guys look at the line and know they're dogs going into the game. I hope FSU wins, but I think Weatherford will lose the game for them, as he usually does. Bottom line, I think FSU will turn the ball over too many times. Clemson will make fewer misstakes which is why they'll pull out the win by 3 or 4 points.

You guys out there that think Tebow can't throw the ball, you're very much misstaken. Throwing is his strong-suit, this is why he's a starter for the defending National Champions. Urban Meyer's throwing offense doesn't require a QB to throw the ball downfield a whole lot, especially with the perimeter speed that UF has on Offense. There's no way Urban will set Tebow up to fail; or to throw a lot of INT's. If he couldn't throw the ball then he wouldn't be playing in the SEC. Tebow threw for 11,000 yards in High School. The guy has a cannon; starting WR Andre Caldwell came back after his JR year this year BECAUSE he can't wait to be Tebow's main target. Tebow didn't have to throw last year because Florida had a 4 year starter in Chris Leak.
He's being taught not to take off and start running if he can't find his 1st or 2nd receiver. I have absolutely no worries about Tebow this year. He'll be one of the top passers in the SEC for the next 2 years.

Tennessee will get waxed by Cal on opening weekend. Cal will win by at least 17 points. Tennessee has a decent QB in Ainge, but no Receivers to throw to. Their only chance is to run the ball down Cal's throat, but don't see it happening. They can't afford to be one dimentional in a big road game like that
CAL 37 UT 17

I sorta do like C. Mich as well, however they have a completley new coaching staff so I usually stay away from teams like this until they prove they won't miss a beat from the following year.

Hey nolesgamble, if you didn't know...Notre Dame lost their QB, top WR, top TE, top RB, and several people on the Defensive side of the ball. The Irish won't win more than 5 games this year.

Watch out for the Sooners to have a good chance at making it to the BCS Championship game. Their QB situation is not as bad as people make it out to be. They have solidified their starter, and will have a stable of RB's to pound the ball behind an awesome Offensive Line. The Defense will be nasty too.
OU also has 7 home games this year. If they can beat Texas then I think they can run the table, win the BIG 12 Champ. game and face USC for the National Title. I don't think anyone will beat USC this year unless their QB gets hurt though.
