1.  Rutgers has played comparable competition to Ohio State, Nova has about 300 more passing yeards than Barrett.

2.  Rutgers has played two road games and scored 72 points in those games against Navy and Washington State.

3.  Barrett has come on, much improved, but let's face it the competiton since VT game has not been that great.  Cincy gives up 50 + to eveyone, KSU sucks, and Maryland had substantial injuries to deal with.

4.  Ohio State will probably score, and look good on offense...but -21.5 implies that Ohio State will pretty much shut Rutgers out...yet Rutgers is not a team dependent on running ability, Nova has over 1600 yards passing this year.

What I really hate is that I cant bet against Ohio State....but there is little to no doubt that Rutgers stays within 3 touchdowns in this game....

Yep. zud. I was surprised to see that 5d's has two lines depending on whether future inmate #666 Winston actually plays in the game.  But, they have established that his signatures are everywhere and being sold by autograph hoarders.  But, unless I am missing something, they have not yet established that Winston has supplemented his scholarship funds with hundreds or even thousands he has made by selling them...and that is critical to issues surrounding a suspension.

I dont think they can get proof before game time, so i look for future inmate Winston to play Saturday myself...

Gophers will be able to run the ball.  If they can figure out how to throw the ball somewhat effectively, not only will they cover 11, they will win...finally...

Fresh and lord hit two of the many reasons that Cincy is the best money here.  I cant believe this is 17 points.  Take the points...why?

1.  Cincy has made a history of making this game close...nobody resents THE OSU more than Cincy.

2.  Tuberville made a reputation winning games like this game

3.  Kiel is for real.  Two years ago he was a top 5 HS recruit in the nation.  He will put on a show against a mediocre Ohio State secondary.

4.  Ohio State will be strong against the run, unless Cincy can get plays beyond the defensive line...if they can do that, the sky is the limit against Urban Meyer's undersized speedy LB's who tend to spend 1/2 the game on their azz's.

5.  Can't use Kent State as an indication of where the Ohio State offense is...many cheerleading squads could beat KS.  This offense has problems.  Ohio State will score, Cincy's defense does not look too great itself, but consistent drives....I dont know.  Buckeyes will not score at will against this team.

All in all, this could provide the usual excitement of an in-state Ohio football game.  I look for a 10 point Ohio State win, but it would not surprise me if Cincy pulled an upset.  Take the points.  GL....

BGSU can put up points...but against Indiana's defense it doesnt say alo.  Bigger question in this game s whether Wisk anind their offense against even a half decent team.

This is about the fourth thread I have seen where someone has GS + points...

watching the performance that #6 McNeese St. put up in Lincoln leads me to believe that a slow starting Miami team might give Nebraska all they can handle. 

Miami +8 if I dare take this game...

Besides, I enrolled in a 12 step program to quit betting on anyone in the weeny 14 conference....

SEC maggots have been railing for years about the lack of talent in B1G football, and the time has come to ask...are they right? Monday morning will bring the realization that only 1 team in the conference will be in the top 15, that being MSU, who to their credit played one half of a football game Saturday. Cant really say they completed the game after losing the 2nd half 28-3. Ohio State got outplayed by VT at all 22 positions on the field....buckeye fans should quit ragging on Barrett...what can a freshman QB do when running for his life all night. UM was outplayed at 22 positions...and buried worse than any UM team since 1984 (which preceeds the rich Rod era) by the way. All the while Wisconsin shut out in 2nd half against LSU last week, Iowa wins at last second over BSU while trailing Northern Iowa last week and coming back.

Nebraska wins with 20 ticks remaining over McNeese State, Northwestern loses, Purdue blown off the field by Central Michigan. Ohio State has been beaten 2 of their last 3 games by mid-level ACC opponents.  Penn State only survives UCF, and etches out a 21-3 win over the Akron Zips?

Here's the sum of it...the bottom half of the B1G is having a rough time competing with the MAC, while the top is continually pounded by teams of national prominence. Yet, when conference play begins the bottom half teams will compete and sometimes upset those in the top half of the conference.

Yes, the B1G sucks...although it is painful to admit it, we no longer play relevant football at all...

One VERY HGE factor that has not been mentioned, and it goes back YEARS and YEARS....

First background.  Did you know that Ohio State has refused to do back & back with Toledo for decades?

Some very good teams have come into the glass bowl and lost games to da rockets.  Playing at Toledo is a very difficult win.

Hard one to call on points...too many questions remain for both teams.  Buckeye new defensive scheme was not impressive last week, LB play has to improve.  The DB's remain untested. 

MAC...dont know what you expect out of a first start freshman QB, but 12-15 is not a bad fist gae...o the road...at all.  Barrett was a higher rated player than Miller coming out of HS.

Bottom line for me is that the horseshoe is an extremely difficult place for an opponent t get a win.  I wafavorby impressed with all the talent around Barrett.  Elliott, Wilson and Jalen Marshall (fr) really ran the ball with authority last week against Navy.

I doubt Ohio State really tries to win this game thru the air, they will run.  They probably can run  the ball.  VT will have to make the most out of every possession to stay in the game.

BUT...there are definately better games to bet this week....

I like South Alabama.....

The best advice on MSU vs. webbed footed aviary creatures from the peoples republic of Oregon is probably to stay away.

Everyone has a strong opinion...and nobody agrees....even the analysis of the game when offered is all over the board....this is quite OBVIOUSLY the GAME of the week.....go sparty!

I hate to part with my money. 

Akron seems a huge risk, even at +14.  Zips might show up, might not.  They came with a plan last year at Michigan...but DF will have his team ready for a home opener.  I really want to take this game...but I would have to be on PSU to cover...
