created a topic you can't say Ohio State wont b motivated or have a letdown in College Football been 2 yrs since they played in a bowl game and that game was a joke and they didn't want to be there, so technically it has been 3 yrs. Quite a few kids on the team are seniors and this is their last game to go out as a winner, including Carlos Hyde and maybe Miller. They lost to a very good MSU team as well all saw in New Years Day. You can question their defense but to suggest they aren't motivated or don't want to be in this game is crazy. replied to Why shouldn't Auburn be ranked #2??? in College Football Well OSU has won 24 straight games and unfortunately the big 10 is really down right. They deserve a shot and have earned it. Its not easy to do no matter what their schedule. Auburn is a great team but bottom line is they have a 14 pt loss to a 3 loss LSU team, and they needed 2 MIRACLES to avoid other losses. So if youve followed the BCS over the yrs OSU should be #2. Its not perfect. Notre Dame was not the best team last yr but they went defeated. And how come nooone ever questions fsu schedule? replied to Ohio St vs Wisco in College Football One thing to consider is the speed and offensive scheme OSU has added since Meyer took over. A 7 pt spread in this series over the years would prob cover a lot times as a dog. But with tress and even back to the cooper yrs OSU had more traditional offense, power running which Wisky is good at defending. Wisky defended OSU well last yr but i feel this is a diff OSU team playing at home. Weak schedule so far but im willing to bet their looking forward to the challenge of a quality opponent. Traditionally passing teams who spread it out and run the zone tead give OSu fits but i feel they matchup well here defensively. replied to Tulsa +3.5 in College Football I would say the line is about right on. Looks like BG has more returning starters which can be big in the early games of the season in college. I'm not an expert on either team but from what i've read Tulsa lost a of starters on both sides of the ball especially d line and secondary. BG has veteran WR core and they are projected t contend for the MAC title this yr, which is a conference that is improving each year. End of the day I would say both teams recruit similar talent, BG may have the edge due to home field and more experience therefore you have a 3 pt spread. replied to How do you not take butler?? in College Basketball Dayton suspended their best player Matt Kavanaugh at the beginning of the season too....didn't factor into the line of this game but i don't get this line either. Dayton plays well at home and they have a great student section, they get fired up i've been there. Next to playing Xavier this is the game every fan and player circled on the calendar so cleary that is a factor in how this line is set. Still i would lean Butler....... created a topic Vegas Sports book where to watch in Las Vegas heading to Vegas next weekend staying at Bally's........mainly going to watch and gamble on football......what suggestions can everyone offer as where to watch where and get some good drinks either comped or just good drink prices...........i would prefer to have drinks comped but if there is a good place on the strip that has good prices and good viewing i wouldn't mind that. It's vegas i have to money so i'm not necessarirly looking to bet $20 on a game and hope i get my drinks comped all day, however if i can do that all the better. created a topic New to the site.....Laying Chalk tonite in College Football First time post here at covers. I've been using site for years. Lets get to it. Ohio State -28 Ohio State is loaded on both sides of the ball. We all know Tressel likes to play it conservative and I'm sure he will hold somethings back given OSU plays Miami, FL next weekend. However I feel the Buckeyes will try and make a statement defensively tonite and I think Tress may play the starters longer than most think to get them in "game shape" for the next week. The game vs Miami could be won in the 4th qtr. I don't see Marshall scoring more than 10 pts so I will lay the chalk. USC -21 Just going with my gambling instincts here. USC's offseason is well documented and a lot went wrong for them. Finally getting back to just playing football I think is a good thing and they obvisouly have more talent than Hawaii. Lane Kiffin has brought his father to be the D Coordinator and he is one of the best at what he does. I think USC will force some turnovers and shouldn't have a problem scoring at will against the swiss cheese Hawaii D. Good luck to everyone this year.
