I posted on here before the NLCS started about hedging my Dodgers win the WS ticket.
Everyone blew me off. Does anyone have advice as to the best strategy for hedging now? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks |

If you have a ticket at 17/1 that is now 4/1 seems like a no brainer to start hedging.
not sure i understand why people don't agree

I see Cubs win NLCS at -205 and figure if the Dodgers make it to the WS the line would be close to pickem against either AL Team.
Smartest move is to cover my entire wager on cubs at -205? If i did that and the Dodgers end up advancing, I would still be looking to take 85% of the original bet. Heading to the WS if i were to hedge the initial be as well as make up for the loss I would have incurred from the Cubs nlcs bet I would still be looking at retaining 64% of the ticket. Risk Free. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

My little peanut brain can't compute this. Some one please talk me out of it.
Let's start with Santana. Currently at +200 and raising! Over his last 6 starts he has given up 7ER total. His August ERA is 1.33, his ERA post all star break is 1.89. Even if you took the whole years statistics into account he has actually pitched to an ERA a whole run lower on the Road, of course they are on the road tonight. I get it, Stoman has been pitching well of late. But, even his new improved self with a 3.4 era over his last 7 starts is still more than Double that of Santana. I find Duffy(+150) to be a similar example but on a better team and he's kinda been doing it all year long. 1.6 era last 7 starts. Ridiculous 1.18 era in August, the numbers are all there. Oh yeah, and those Royals, I think they are pretty hot right now. Same can be said about a resurgent Price as with Stroman. Price has a 3.02 Era over his last 7, but that is still dwarfed by the numbers Duffy is putting up. I would love to hear from someone laying -220 on the Jays or -165 on the Sox. All input appreciated. Bol |

I know, I know, I know.
You have to be crazy to bet against Jose Fernandez at home. BUT, I think he has shown a bit of vulnerability in his recent starts, even getting touched for 5ER at HOME v STL. Also, I get it, Dillon Gee is, well, Dillon Gee. But for me, give me the hottest team in baseball, winning 9 of their last 10 @ +195. Call me a sucker, call me crazy. Whats your input?

Good luck Key, with you on KC, hopefully they hang on.
Any thoughts on SF/LAD? Leaning Dodgers myself with them getting up to +115 now |
