i like the optimism man, but i think it comes down to if Snaer is really as good as advertised and if Singleton is ready to step up and b a superstar. they will miss douglas' leadership and defensive play more than anything. it will be interesting to see if kitchen can handle the ballhandling duties by himself because i dont think loucks can play in the acc. and if leonard isnt stupid, and tries to play reid and demercy all year. hopefully he will let xavier gibson get a lot more playing time this year as well.

lol. the rims are the same size in every arena. it might be in davidsons case because they prolly still have rims from the 1970's but any decent schools have the same rims. villanova plays in an old arena as well unless they play in the 76ers arena, which they do on occassion. i think it ended up being a coincidence.
players were nervous on national tv at the jimmy v classic. texas was the only team used to that type of media coverage. i thought curry really pressed until he hit his groove down the stretch. he is a beast though. your shocked when every one of his shots DONT go in |

shaq's great granny died and hes gonne b out. i think this helps the lakers tremendously. bynum will kill the caveman lopez, and pau as well. but i think it helps the over. shaq slows the game down. and now the only way the suns can win is to make it a track meet and the lakers have no problems with that. i like the lake show and the over!! good luck to all

patrick patterson kills hansborough . love it. louisville and uconn best value in my opinion. lawson would also have trouble against a physical pg. i could see a tough physical team beating them (mich st, pitt, purdue). but saying that unc is pretty awesome this year could go undefeated. i'd look at the odds of that has to be decent odds.

str8 i love the guys work ethic. that alone has won me over. if he continues to recruit like this we could be competitors in 2 yrs. only problem is he's right there with pitino, calipari, and pearl. lot of competition. oh if we would have got singleton and hopson this year...... my lord. thought we had singleton (our pockets arent as deep as fsu's lol). and king saban i agree 100% if he stays healthy

i agree str8 pelphrey would be the coach if BCG leaves. but thats not gonna happen for a long while, i think with the recruiting that hes doing they are starting to turn the corner. i wanted pelphrey when we let the tubbster go. i like the hire of gillespie though

str8 to be honest i dont know too much about va tech. i figure them to be tightly jumbled between maryland, va tech, clemson, and fsu.

1. nc (obvious reasons)
2. duke (obvious reason and everyone else is subpar other than nc and wake) 3. wake (young talent, young coach, good recruiting class, could push duke) 4. miami (mcclinton will carry them) 5. fsu (one of the most underrated teams in the country. singleton, douglas, alabi, echefu are underrated) 6. maryland (put them here by default) 7. clemson ( purnell's coaching ability lands them here) 8. va tech 9. nc st 10. gt 11. uva 12. bc |

1. tennessee (hate pearl but he does well, wish kentucky woulda got hopson, has one of the best players in the league in smith, should be a top 20 team all year)
2. kentucky (could easily win it. patterson and meeks good inside/out combo) 3. lsu (new coach which i think will be an improvement with a lot of young talent) 4. florida (one of the most overrated teams in the country, calathes sucks, and too many new faces) 5. ole miss (up and coming team, could easily win the west) 6. bama (gottfried is awful but they have a lot of athletes) 7. vandy (once again good coaching, in the wrong division to have too great a year) 8. sc (dont know how the new coach will do) 9. georgia (have a lot of fight) 10. miss st (could do better off of stansbury's coaching alone) 11. arkansas (pelphrey cant let them finish last) 12. auburn (shouldnt have fired cliff ellis a few years ago) |
