Actually, yes that is exactly what they want... If even $ is on both sides, they win 10% juice on the loss. The reason the lines move the way they do is because Vegas is trying to get even $ on each side or total... The juice is guaranteed $.

yeah some real shady things I have been noticing in NCAAF lately... Really sad actually. It's BEEN going on in the NFL. What about Utah St tonight up 51-21 with all their starters still in with 6mins left in the 4th and they throw a 40 yd bomb for a TD on 1st down!!! Since when does Utah St not protect leads and run the clock up 30 late in a game? I had Wyoming expecting Utah St to get a nice lead, go conservative, and get the backdoor cover. Take away the 40 yd bomb on 1st down up 30pts with 6mins left and guess what?? Wyoming's late TD covers the 26 and they lose by 23, VERY QUESTIONABLE...IMO

You asked to tell you why??? Well here is mu reason...Thursday Night Football selections are posted below... They're may be a selection on the late game vs. Oregon/Ariz St. If so, the play will be posted at least 30 minutes before kickoff.
** ACC WRONG TEAM FAVORED ** UNC @ PITT -- Pitt has been one of the most impressive teams in the country IMO that has kind of flown under the radar. They do come into this game ranked #23, but if you look at their schedule, they are very deserving of being ranked in the Top 15. Why?? They have opened the season with 5 of 7 games on the road and are (6-1) with their lone loss coming by a last second FG @ #10 Iowa. That is their only loss this year and it came by 3 on the road to a top10 team. On the road this year they won @ Akron, @ Va Tech, @ Ga Tech, and @ Syracuse. They opened the season at home Sept 5th, and have only played one other home game since, in a win over Virginia. UNC, on the other hand, has been the exact opposite playing 5 of their 1st 7 at home and split their 2 road games with the loss coming against a bad South Carolina team. I believe the reason Pitt has flown a little under the radar is because their wins aren't pretty and they aren't getting any "style" points. But, the last time I checked, a W is a W and to be (6-1) after opening the season with 5 out of 7 games on the road, against some pretty good football teams, speaks volumes of this teams character. The teams character is a credit to 1st year HC Pat Andruzzi who I really like. I love his intensity, and he clearly has his guys ready to play week in and week out, to go on the road and win week after week. I can't emphasize enough that this team could very easily be (7-0) with their only loss coming AT a very good Iowa football team by a last second FG. The Pitt offense has a game-breaker WR in Tyler Boyd that the Tar Heels will really have trouble stopping tonight as he leads the pass happy ACC in receptions with 53. QB Nathan Peterman is completing a sizzling 68% of his passes and loves going to Boyd in key possession downs. Peterman, also takes very good care of the ball, only throwing 3 INT's so far this year in all those HOSTILE environments which is very impressive. The Panthers thought they took what would be a HUGE blow to their run game when RB James Conner went down early in the year. But, not at all, as Freshman RB Qdree Ollison has stepped right in and almost rushed for 700yds. KEY FACTOR: THE RETURN HOME!! The Pitt kids HAVE to be thrilled to return home to Heinz Field to play in front of their Home crowd with a #23 ranking and (6-1) record in a Thursday Night ESPN televised game. Not to mention, they must feel a little disrespected, being the ranked team at home but listed as 3 point underdogs?? UNC has lost 28 of their last 32 road games against a ranked team on the road OR 4-28 vs ranked teams on the road in their last 32 attempts. However you want to say it... The Pitt D is 2nd in the ACC, and 12th in the FBS in sacks... I believe a hurried UNC QB Marquise Williams should lead to a couple mistakes which should be the difference in this one considering PITT protects the ball like a baby... WRONG TEAM FAVORED HERE!! PLAY PITT +3 3* |

Lol... You must have really done your homework on this one... Pitt has opened (6-1) with their first 5 out of 7 on the road. The only loss to #10 Iowa @ Iowa by a lastvsecond FG. Won @Akron, @ Va Tech, @Ga Tech, and @ Syracuse with one home win in the middle of those 5 roadies at home over Virginia. They finally return home to play on ESPN nationally ranked #23 and (6-1) as 3pt dogs? Hmmm I wonder if HC Pat Andruzzi is using that as chalkboard material?? Not that he needs to considering he's had his team prepared to almost sweep 5 road games in 1st 7 gms overall. UNC, on the other hand, has opened with 5 of 1st 7 at home and in split their 2 road games with a loss at terrible South Carolina. UNC 4-28 L32 vs ranked opponent on the road, and we are GETTING POINTS with the home team!!. Oh yeah and in those 5 road games plus the 2 @ home QB Peterman has completed 68% of his passes and only thrown 3 INT's... Pitt takes care of the ball like it's a baby. While their D is 2nd in the ACC in sacks and 12th in the FBS in sacks. I'm guessing a pressured Marquise Williams makes a couple mistakes which will be the difference in this one. Not to mention they won't be able to stop WR Tyler Boyd defensively... But, hey what do I know?? Pitt returning to Heinz field after 5 of 6 on road in primetime ESPN game on Thursday night getting 3pts. ALLLL DAY!! You asked us to tell you why... That's my reason, lol....

I agree with you DWN... But, as a handicapper who has dealt with the same stuff he has to deal with, can you BLAME him?? He's kind enough to put out consistently winning plays for FREE, but the wins are quickly forgotten. The losses are what everyone focuses on. The arrogant, "what have you OR what can you do for lately" attitude's are disgusting. As a person that has been there before, I'm sure that is how he feels... Not trying to speak for the man, just an ASSUMPTION and my opinion. I posted plays ONE day on here, and stopped. Never Again!! I don't need all that @#$% talking and drama in my life. Unfortunate, because so far today I'm 3-0, probably about to be 3-1 if Colts lose...Sad, that I don't even want to share or compare info, because ignorant people have to put in their negative 2 cents worth and I want no part of it... Phixer's stuff is documented and proven so it shouldn't bother him too much, but it's human nature to let that negative stuff get under your skin. It's total disrespect for everyone to get on here and see. I'm guessing it's just jealous touts, and guys like Phixer are effecting them making $$... Period. Nice 2-0 start btw Phixer. GL rest of the day!!

Most definitely intentional... I think it's hilarious, posted just in time so people can't get the bets in. LOL... Good stuff Phixer... I'm on Titans as well on the side. Atl TT looking good, nice call considering the sloppy conditions. Suprised it was that high!! Considered the Under, but I really expected the Titans to do better offensively with Mettenberger at QB. I believe his experience gives them a better chance to win. But, so far looks like I'm wrong..

Phixer, I'm new to covers.. I stopped posting on here quickly, due to comments that I see that ruin a solid thread with good info. I really just wanted to commend you on maintaining a calm demeanor and continuing to post winners. I couldn't do it.... You give people a bunch of Gold, and then they expect diamonds... I've handicapped for 8 years and anyone that tries to make it seem "Easy" is living in a fantasy world. The Vegas books are there for a reason. You are by a LONGSHOT, one of the best handicappers on this cesspool of a forum... From what I've seen at least. Ok, I'm done kissing behind, just felt the need to reassure you that you do a great job from one handicapper to another. It's a high stress venture. I did it professionally in 2010, 58.6% winners and people we're calling for my head. I had to stop. Check it out if you would like, it's been dormant since 2010. No spam I promise, just an old picks website, NCAA only... www.freewebs.com/andyvanelli

The 'Capping really isn't all that hard' Thursday Night Special! East Carolina vs. Temple! WRITE-UP!
in College Football
Because I've been handicapping since 2007 and it sure as hell isn't EASY... Requires a tremendous amount of time, effort, research, and actually watching the games to even HAVE A CHANCE at being successful at the end of the 13 week season... 1 or 2 weeks doesn't define anyone, The end of the seasons results do...

Another example tomorrow btw... Is Utah getting 3.5?? On what grounds??? They're 6-0 and rolling and getting 3.5, how could anyone convince someone to go against Utah with SOOOO much confidence like ECU was made out to be the pick against 6-0 Temple... Bet on USC if you want to and their interim coach. But, there's NO WAY you can convince me with a heading, "capping really isn't that hard"... Against an unbeaten... ZERO LOGIC... That's all I was saying. Why fix something if isn't broken and sound soooo sure about it. They hadn't been beaten yet, and avg margin of victory was 19ppg, but "capping really isn't that hard" Hate it for the folks that bought in....

This was my write-up on the game.. I had to include the APP ST write-up to in order to prove the write-up was well before the game....
** THURSDAY NIGHT MIS-MATCH ** Georgia Southern @ Appalachian State-- App St has played 4 of their 1st 6 games on the road. At (5-1) the Mountaineers only loss came @ Clemson. The 5 wins have come by a total of 225-30!! That's an average of 39ppg and 3 of those 5 wins came on the road by an average of 42.6ppg. How this team isn't in the Top25 is beyond me. But, that keeps them motivated, and trust me they will be... Ga. Southern has run the ball in their triple-option offense 336 times out of 406 plays ran. Can you say one-dimensional? Of course, they lead the country in rushing at 399ypg, because that's ALL THEY DO and they haven't played ANYBODY besides West Virginia where they lost 44-0. Stop the run, or really just slow them down, and force them to throw and it can UGLY quick because when they throw IT IS UGLY!! How UGLY, to the tune of 41.4% completions 1TD and 6 INT's on the year. KEY FACTOR: App St has been VERY STRONG against the run all year allowing only 2 rushing TD's ALL YEAR and only 8 TD's total defensively. They should have no problem at least slowing down the Ga Southern run game and simply outscoring them to the point where they can't keep up making it impossible to come back from behind with ZERO passing game. Plus, this App St team should be super pumped, finally getting to play in front of their home crowd after 4 of 6 on the road this year. PLAY APP ST -6 3* ** THURSDAY NIGHT LIVE DOG ** Temple @ ECU-- I know I sound like a broken record week in and week out, but here we go AGAIN...Temple once again not getting any respect from the odds-makers or the NCAA in general and I LOVE IT... The Owls did FINALLY make it into the top25 at #22 this week after having to win 6 in a row in impressive fashion to get there. I thought they should have been in after WEEK 3 based off what I had seen from them. The Owls do have Notre Dame on deck, but I believe they'll be ready to play knowing they have to prove that they belong in the Top25. Plus, they are coming off a fairly sluggish win last week by 14pts over UCF... Temple brings a very stingy defense into this game only allowing 14.7ppg, 203.8ypg passing, and only 91.3ypg rushing. The Owls average margin of victory this year is 19ppg and that includes wins by 17 @ Penn St and 8 @ Cincy. ECU lost their expected starting QB Berkhart right before the start of the season and back-up QB Kemp has been a game manager at best. KEY FACTOR: I expect the Pirates offense to struggle a little against what is the BEST defense and BEST team overall they have seen all year. I mentioned earlier, Temple's D is only allowing 14.7ppg. Well, guess what ECU's record is when scoring 20pts or less?? 0-14!!! In the last 14 straight games when scoring 20 or less ECU is 0-14 and this Temple D is MORE than capable of holding them under that. Take the (6-0) team still getting no respect based on pure principle if anything, if my write-up isn't convincing enough. It would be a bigger play but having ND on deck, and it being a road Thursday night game, is forcing me to keep it moderate. PLAY TEMPLE +3 1* |

why fix something that isn't broken? Temple +3 was a no-brainer, but what do I know? They had just dominated everyone they played this year with their starters on the bench for entire 2nd half of 3 of those 6 games. Umass being the only exception where they slept-walked to victory. You clearly hadn't seen this Temple team play with your own 2 eyes making this pick. Their D and will to win and refusing to lose makes them a top15 team... IMO of course. ECU 0-14 coming into this game when being held to under 20pts. Temple D allowing 14.7ppg on the year going in. I don't know, just a very bold and confident sounding pick the way you laid it out against a dominant (6-0) team that to this point had given nobody a reason to bet against them when getting points. You convinced alot of people into losing money that night with no real substance. I mean honestly had you seen Temple play this year prior to making the pick or was all based off numbers. Serious question, not trying to talk garbage. Just having a hard time believing you had seen them play and decided to STILL go against them in an underdog roll with such confidence... The ONLY thing in ECU's favor in that game was the fact they had Notre Dame on deck. But their coach won't allow them to come in not focused. Again, I've watched them play all year and that's what I based it off of. They're a DAMN GOOD football team.

I don't mean any harm but a comment like, "Temple not showing any interest in winning the game or covering..." Makes absolutely ZERO sense to me? What do you think they're just going to show up planning on losing? They're (6-0) and haven't gotten any respect all year and once again they get no respect here being the ranked underdog... IMO you couldn't be more wrong about this assessment. Temple should have been in the TOP25 2 weeks ago. But, it took 6 wins in a row to finally get in, and now that they've finally made it, " they're going to show no interest in winning this game" I really don't understand this logic? What team EVER shows up planning on losing. Again, just my thoughts, I don't mean any harm... My prediction, the Temple Defense wins this game only allowing 14.7ppg. ECU's record when scoring 20 or fewer points, 0-14 in last 14... The Owls D will have James Summers running for his life and will pick him off at least twice. Temple 23 ECU 17
